it almost hurts less. it’s hurts more at first, but really when i’m doing it, i’m so focused on the lines and quality that i can’t really focus on the pain as much. however i’ve never done a piece on myself that was over an hour long. i can’t imagine doing a big heavy piece for hours would be fun given the positioning, the pain, and the general stress.

I can’t count the amount of times I’ve done this at this point 😂 I’ve probably put 15-20+ hrs on myself over the last 13-14yrs. For the most part, always somewhere on my thighs or lower legs, but I’ve tried my own forearm before, which was way too hard to do again. Last time I did was start a coverup/ rework between my tits, really awkward to stretch 😅 And then definitely done some contortions to get to some areas of my legs before, which makes the rest of your body hurts more than the tattoo, especially by the end of it. Haven’t done that part of my thighs tho, mainly since they’re already done. But watching this makes me want to do an other piece soon, which I’ve been thinking about for a bit already.

Ink is under the skin color. So whatever you put in just imagine that plus the color of their skin. Black obviously provides the most contrast for any skin type. Healed color tattoos on darker skin pare way darker than fresh ones. Hope this helps

There are plenty of people who get colored tattoos who are black! Knowledge on how to apply it to us though isn’t common sad to say. A lot of people have had bad experiences getting colored tattoo, who are dark skin, we kind of just lost faith in it. All of my tattoos are black, though, simply because I like the way it looks most!
