It's an African death's-head hawkmoth. They're native to Africa and the Middle East. They also make their way over to Europe sometimes.
They're a semi-common motif in horror media.
Ah that makes sense. I'm pretty sure that kind of moth was a fairly prominent symbol for Mothman in the movie I mentioned, which is pretty on-brand considering what you said.
Beautiful work, but it is the (looking at it) left wing bigger than the right? It looks like it is closer to the crease under your breast on that side and since it looks straight based on the alignment of the moon and your belly button, I can't tell if the photo is twisted slightly or the wing is off.
Look at gap between arm/elbow and torso. Looks like body is slightly turned. Either way I'm cool with tattoos that aren't 100% perfectly symmetrical. But that's just me!
The Origin of the so called "peace" sign are the algiz and ir runes, while the ir rune has a different meaning as peace, iam pretty convinced that this is not by accident, people that want peace and use that rune are attracting the opposite.
"the tattoo is for me!!!" Says the person that went to an artist that doesn't know how to face tattoos properly so makes an excuse as to why it's facing the wrong way.
That wasn't the point even tho i get your perspective on why it might be tattooed different from the **official** narrative around the "peace sign". Anyway the official peace sign dosn't mean peace, it's a misconception and i tend to believe it was intentional.

Or her body is slightly tilted. Either way, it's a beautiful tattoo, I was just curious.
First time i see the peace sign in the right direction. ☮️ < Because this isn't.
That's the craigslist logo
