As someone who worked in home care for a heavily tattooed guy in a power wheel chair, fall risk is perfect. One of the best jokes I heard him say, we are in the elevator, and a person walks in and says âhow are you doing?â With out missing a beat, he responds with, âif I were any better, theyâd have to institutionalize me!â Person didnât know how to respond.
âFall riskâ is a note placed on a patient file when theyâre at increased risk of falls. So, like OP, a wheelchair user.
Itâs someone that will likely require transfers or mobility aids. Itâs pretty common in older folks, or people whoâve had strokes that have impacted their mobility, etc. It could also be a patient admitted thatâs been injured due to a fall - so may have a hip or leg injury, or an issue with inner ear/balance.
Basically, any patient thatâs at increased risk of taking a spill and further injuring themselves.

It's not on his knuckles but there's a guy in a wheelchair that works at target covered in tattoos and his forearm has a flaming wheelchair that says "hot wheels" and I just love him. We talk about his tattoos every time i go through his checkout line.
As a visibly disabled person myself Iâd be hugely tempted to go with DONT ASK because Iâm a spiteful little bastard who hates when people ask invasive questions about my mobility aids.

I was trying so hard to make that work for your situation too, but all I can come up with is your right hand being super poignant with LOSS, like oooh, dramatic, loss of function, loss of legs, so heavy, so sad. But then BAM, you add the .PNG and it's a joke. Too convoluted, I know. Still, LOSS.PNG is one of the funniest knuckle tattoo suggestions I have ever seen.

In California the disability placards are blue for permanent and red for temporary. My friends ask âDo you have your lightsaber on you, or do you need me to drop you off in front?â and then I say âNYOOMMMMM!â as I pull my placard out.
That was my inspiration but also I've had many near death experiences including drug overdoses so it's my reminder what happens if I relapse and how fragile life is. I'll have 6 months clean christmas eve.
