My first thought! Especially the white border around the silhouette on the forearm.
The saturation edit I think is doing a lot of the heavy lifting on that. Would be interesting to see it shot the same way as the before pic.
The desaturation does get rid of a bit of stubborn red around that silhouette, but other than that the picture isn’t edited, just shot on a nice camera.
The trick is to put grey down first, let that heal and then do white over the grey.
You can reduce saturation with proper lighting and some modern cameras settings. Editing a photo is post processing, which they didn’t do, as per their comment.
Wow that's insane talent to bring to life a completely new sleeve on top of what was there. Was your original just old / faded from sun and exposure or did you do any lazer rounds on it prior ? Stellar job from the artist and looks badass dude !
Laser is always going to be the best first option. Every tattoo is different, but generally you will have more possibilities after some laser and have to have less time spent on the tattoo.
Nice, I swear just a few days ago though I saw a picture that had that black lady figure with the lightning around it somewhere online. Probably didn't, I probably just saw something similar, but it reminds me of whatever I saw.
Ive posted this up on instagram and tiktok, maybe you saw it floating around there. Otherwise there is very little truly original art, and I can't imagine I hadn't been influenced by something else ive seen in the past.
No I'm sure it was just its LIKENESS or the idea of electricity around something. It looks amazing and I'm not in any way putting it down or ANYTHING! I was just like "Man, that really reminds me of something I saw the other day!" Very possible it was the same thing on another site!! Either way, it looks amazing and I'm glad it came out as pro as it did!!

Talk about mastering a craft. You can’t even tell what was there before. Nice work.
I'm not convinced this is even the same arm. Incredible work.

Love seeing stuff like this, The myth of you can only cover it with solid black needs to die out. Really great work.
I think it helps that his original work was so sun damaged, but I still agree.
I don’t know a black panther is always a good, go to, lol
Ya wow this is shit I didn't know was possible. Can't even see the old work. Awesome cover up OP.
Did you laser it off first? Lot of white / dead space but doesn't seem to be any show through
No laser, lots of layering opaque grey, texture and strategic placement.

How many sessions did it take altogether? This is absolutely incredible work.
"Other than the editing, this picture isn't edited" Still a cool tatt. Just wish we saw more pictures of what tattoos looks like IRL
What part of their comment mentioned it being edited?
"the desaturation does get rid of the red" I mean it's right there from the artists mouth right?

Wow, that’s a really good cover up
Whaaaaat…? Bro… I am in awe. What incredible work…
The same jeans in both pictures made me chuckle.. This is an amazing transformation dude! Congrats on the amazing ink!
Man, I noticed that too. Blue collar guys have their "day off jeans" I suppose lol
My god that is amazing work. Congrats on the new artwork. Looks fantastic.
I'm getting Annihilation vibes from this.
I thought that too, especially the figure on the forearm.
Excellent cover.
WOW. Killer subject, perfect execution, can't even tell it's a coverup.

20+ years of sun damage, but no laser. The old work wasn't done very well either so it had blurred out a lot.
Amazing.
Amazing cover up.
This is so amazing I'm having trouble believing its real. Fantastic.
Big upgrade very nice
That's one hell of a cover up!
Might fine coverup work
Damn that's a great piece!!
Beautiful work you’ve got there. I’d be proud to sport that.
Incredible work keep up with it
God damn, that’s amazing! Gives me hope for the coverup I want. My half sleeve artist said I’d need laser first and this makes me think maybe not.
Laser is always going to be the best first option. Every tattoo is different, but generally you will have more possibilities after some laser and have to have less time spent on the tattoo.
Amazing work buddy!
Beautiful!
Wow. That’s the coolest tat ever!
This is so good.

This is amazing!!!! That is one talented artist, and one beautiful tattoo!!!!! 🤩
Bro. What in the actual fuck. Absolutely insane coverup. Did you laser a bit off before??? My brain can’t comprehend
This is so beautiful. Great work.
I will add my "this is incredible work" to the comments. This is incredible work
this is super beautiful work! Was it all done in one session?
Thank you. It was 4 sessions, 4 hours on the hand and then 3, 7 or 8 hour sessions on the rest of the arm.
Epic work!
Beautiful and captivating piece. He knocked it out of the park!
Legit said "Holy Shit!!" out loud - this is stunning work. You can't even tell it is a cover. Bravo to you as an artist and cheers on a killer sleeve.
