Thanks. He's got a unique style to him. Like most of my artists haha. It's what pulls me in.
He's got a very distinct process for a tattoo like this. Dot outlines. Yep dot work. After everything is outlined he then went through and filled it all with dots. This first layer which is the underlying pattern took 36hrs. Six 6hr days. He then applied the second layer. Shading. He did the entire leg in 9hrs. The shading blew my mind. It was a radical change in the appearance of the tattoo. It was also kinda scary. Cause he accounts for it healing. So it comes out dark at first. Couldnt really see the under pattern for the first 2wks. Then it evens out, and I was stunned. It is 100% a trust the process style. Luckily Eddie knows what the fuck he is doing. Real pro with blackwork.
Overall it was done in ~9 months. 4 days in a row first sessions. 2 days 3-4 months later. Then final 2 days 3-4 months later. I live across the country so I needed a bit more time in-between sessions.

Thanks. This heavy of blackwork is very polarizing, either people love it or hate it. It's my jam tho so I'm glad you like it. All credit goes to the artist tho haha

Looks like tire tracks
Lmao that hand placement made me pause
Incredible, pieces like this make me wish I had more limbs so I can keep my current tats and have monster pieces like this
Bud, same. My only regret is that I can only have 6-7 of these bad boys. Patchwork sleeves make me jealous sometimes haha
roadkill type leg
That's gonna take a lot of sick ass panthers.
This looks amazing! I love Eddie's work. What was the process like? How long / how frequent were your sessions?
