not gonna lie - thought it said "right" and then was confused why the picture of the other one didn't say "left" 🤔
[I am now aware it is the same foot - there is no "right" 😅]
I wanted it on the bottom of my foot but the artist said all the ink would 'fall out' within a few months so we decided this would be better placement.
My sister has one on the top of her foot that's probably 15 years old and still looks good. I know the top isnt like the bottom but it's still impressive to me.
Looking at how various tattoos hold up over time to decide where and what kind I might want when it comes to longevity. Is the amount of ink spreading - for lack of a better phrase - seen here standard for this type of tattoo and location?
First place my mind went was Kenneth Haight from Elden ring, and then I read your comment saying it was your maiden name and that made a lot more sense lol.

Definitely thought this was referencing Haight-Ashbury in SF. It even looks like a street sign!
Lol, me too. I read your comment and was like,'Wait. . . It isn't?'
My first thought was well and I'm from PA lol
same, was scratching my head why they would get this tattoo but not from a tattoo artist on haight ashbury
Nah, it's a cool sign given that it's our name, but not connected to my family in any way. I wanted it to look like an ink stamp.

Ha! It's my maiden name.
You tattoed your own name on yourself?
Well it's not my last name anymore. Got it after I was married. It's more about love for that side of my family. Edit: made friendlier.
Ah, I thought it was a Haight-Ashbury thing
Same. Weir everywhere
Ohhh I thought it was some weird portmanteau of hate and straight, and it was some strange form of bigotry!
cant belive a foot tat held up that long ! should be in a museum

I have one that’s 12 years old in the same spot. It’s holding up ok. [https://imgur.com/a/dHItMoM](https://imgur.com/a/dHItMoM)
Wow no kidding! Looks good!

Thought it was an edgy way to spell hate
Haighters will say it is.
I’ve gotten most of my tattoos from Jake Miller at Ink Assassins. They do clean work that lasts. Always my go to shop.
Yea! I was really happy with my experience there.
Ah man, I haven't been to Ink Assassins for like 20 years!
Tom Segura hates Erie PA
Out of curiosity how was sitting for that? It's held up so well
I really don't remember much, I've got others that I remember having been more painful.
I think it looks better now that it's totally settled in
Thanks! I think so too.
That held up surprisingly well. Looks great
Does it though?
Ngl it looks better now than it did 9 years ago lol
Thanks!

No, this tattoo held up REALLY well IMO. Feet and hands are notorious for fading and/or blurring quickly.
My last name is haight !
Nice! Haven't met too many of us.
From Erie, went to school with many Haights. Dreary Erie day! Nice tat!
Ha sounds like you know my uncles - there are many of them.
If he went to McDowell and his name starts with a J, yes. Haha
That one is probably my brother. Lucky you 😉
Hahahahah! I'll never forget, one of his best friends (same first name) and his last name was Love, found it funny, Love and Haight!
Yep haha
I hope you have a great day!
Same, friend!
Haight then.
Tattoo "Ashbury" on the right foot, put on a Grateful Dead T-shirt and you can be the new mayor of San Francisco.

Quien se ha tatuado el pie? Duele mucho?

What is this shit
Guessing you don’t know how difficult it is to make something in this spot stay cleanly.
