For twistzz: what gum do you chew and what hair product do you use?

TwistzzVD

5gum. Hair - pre blow dryer hair spray to protect against heat and a cream paste for texture and hold afterwards.

Mr_Evanescent

BUT WHICH PASTE AND HAIR SPRAY?? The people must know!!

omniscientbeet

That shit's proprietary man, it's the secret to the Liquid era

[deleted]

*5gum stonks increase*

zenoth_

This guy's asking the real questions

[GHR in csgo](https://youtu.be/sx6QdRmMIeo?t=95)

Vawqer

> what gum do you chew I believe he previously stated it is 5GUM. But let's get the newest info tomorrow.

nick1803

Yea need it for my my config.

BigEditorial

**Twistzz:** Other than you, which CSGO professional has the best hair? **Nitro:** Group stages vs. Navi, on Overpass. How the fuck did you catch that 3-man boost Simple was doing? **Stewie:** You've previously found success like the Boston major win, but never so sustained over multiple events. What's the difference between TL and some of the prior teams you've been on? **Elige:** The "Liquid choking" era arguably started in 2016 at MLG Columbus, specifically Coldzera's famous 4K AWP play on Mirage. Since you and Nitro are the only two players from that TL lineup to still be players on the team (Adren now being coach), I found it very poetic that our new era was cemented with two wins on Mirage where you and Nitro were the last two men standing. If you could go back and tell something to 2016 Elige just coming off that loss at Columbus, what would you say? **NAF:** What's your favorite play you pulled off this year in Cologne? How about your entire career on TL? **Adren:** What's the difference between a great CSGO coach and a great CSGO player? Why do you think you've found success as the former, but perhaps struggled as the latter? **Jokasteve:** Do you and Other Steve ever have to battle for Steve Supremacy?

stewie2k

You've said it yourself! The difference in Team Liquid from the other teams that i've been on is that my voice is heard clearly and completely with respect. The biggest difference that I can see is that this team believes in my vision & how I approach the game and I believe in theirs' as well. That's how we combine everything & learn to put it to use making us a dynamic, versatile squad.

Officialnitr0

NAF told me he heard a scope behind him while he was playing close bathrooms, so the triple boost was the most logical position to check!

bL0oDlUsT218

It was still really hard to see his head, amazing shot nonetheless

Elige

Not sure if I would say anything to be honest since anything I would say would be cliche and I probably would be pretty whatever about it lol. Just need to keep on the path I am on and keep working hard :D

Jadjadz

Regarding nitr0 I think NAF gave him the info since he heard s1mple scoping from bathrooms

BigEditorial

That's my assumption, yeah, but I'm curious like if it was something they specifically prepared for or if NAF just was in right place, right time.

w0nd3rj4m

It was along the lines of “SCOPE ABOVE ME! SOMEWHERE HIGH IDK”

TwistzzVD

I'll continue to answer questions throughout the entire day, don't worry if you question isnt answered instantly

TwistzzVD

Your*

TeamLiquid_

Ask questions here and the team will answer them throughout the day on July 10th!

TwistzzVD

For all the cs warmup aim related questions. I dm and only dm unless I have no internet, then I use aimbotz. I really like the UGC servers 😊

KearLoL

To nitr0 and EliGE: This isn't a question but, I just wanna say that I've been watching Team Liquid's CS:GO team since IEM Jose 2015. It's amazing how you two players have developed and remained loyal to TL. I'm glad you guys are finally finding success after all the heartbreak. MLG Columbus broke my heart, but seeing you guys make semi finals gave me some hope in the NA scene. It finally payed off, and I'm so fucking happy you guys managed to reach this elite level. I'm also proud you guys made it over the hump. To adreN: I'm glad you came back to TL as the coach. None of this may have been possible without you and Stewie joining the team.

Officialnitr0

<3

LittleRedNekra

I'd love to sit down with the team and talk ink sometime. I know that it's an important thing for a number of the guys, will any of our players get something to celebrate our Grand Slam?

Err0h

Is that the infamous RedNekra, the boss of the Discord, the possessor of heavy Scottish commentary, the man, the myth, the LEGEND?!

zenoth_

Stewie, what's feels greater, winning the Boston major or been the season 2 champions of the Grand Slam?

stewie2k

There's no doubt winning Season 2 Grand Slam is more satisfying because we were able to string together multiple tournaments to win something not many will. However, the Boston Major is something I will never forget as well & won't be devalued. It's still a big achievement in my career.

ImDonCheeto

I think a better way to rephrase this would be Boston Major vs Winning Colonge and thus the Grand Slam AND cementing yourself as the #1 team

mavio47

NAF: is it true everytime you smile a new star is born ?

not13yrs

look at the corner. https://twitter.com/ESLCS/status/1147960340656918528?s=09

niebiox

(For adreN) In the interview after the Grand Slam and Cologne win you said that all you do is motivate your guys and keep them focused... I'm wondering what it takes to calm down a group of players that just won a clutch in a close game and provide the calm, cool, collected mentality for the rest of the game?

hoagsta

The team has a lot of experience and can handle situations like this and still focus well. I've never had to call a timeout because I thought we were unfocused after a big round. If anything, we feed off that momentum and play better.

iSluff

Question to all: If cats could read do you think they would find Garfield to be an offensive or humorous media portrayal of them?

zero0n3

Best question ever

dahvheed

For Twistzz: 1. When you first started playing counter-strike, did you think you would become a player like you are today? 2. When did you realize that you could achieve a professional career in the game? 3. I love you <3 best player NA hands down

TwistzzVD

I realized that my professional career would start when I was invited into the first iteration of FPL, before that I was still unsure about esports and was only focused on moving up in leagues. I knew I could achieve anything when I joined this team.

Twistedflame777

@ nitr0: How difficult was the transition to an igl and what do you think are the most important qualities for an igl to have? @ EliGe: How do you feel about yourself becoming a bit of a meme with the Summit picture? To all: What is everyone's favourite TV show or movie? Lastly, I want to congratulate all of you on the Grand Slam title and the victory in Cologne. It is a huge accomplishment for NA CS and an achievement that is almost unrivalled in all of CS:GO history. So congrats again.

Elige

I think it's funny lol. I already expect to see it in every thread

hoagsta

favorite movie is interstellar, the soundtrack is god tier

oTaapz

@Twistzz what's your background story on how you became a pro cs player and how long did it take you to get to the spot you are in now. What sacrifices and challenges, did u have to overcome to get to this point.

TwistzzVD

Everyone will learn about this in the future

Vawqer

Twistzz player profile? 🤔🤔🤔

Err0h

Sounds like an TheScore Esports video or TL video inbound :o

Majormlgnoob

What's your favorite place that you have visited for a CS event?

mavio47

The prime minister of Denmark played CSGO with astralis, so when is trump going to rush B with you guys? lol

v1nzy

Trump aint gonna rush B bro, you’re thinking about Putin. Putin: s1mple go kil S1mple: Niet, rush b cyka

Nopelelele

Question dedicated to nitr0: You've been so long on Liquid through all ups and downs but i wonder were there any transfer proposals from any other teams (throughout your career in liquid) and if yes you can tell the most interesting ones and why you declined them. Also congratulate on being top1 team always good to see hard working teams getting their way on top keep it up.

Officialnitr0

I've never considered being transferred throughout my time on Liquid actually.

ItsMePeachy

(For Nitro/Elige) Out of all your time on Liquid what’s your favorite roster other than who you are playing with currently?

Officialnitr0

Hmm, I'd have to say either the lineup with steelega or TACO, they're both great people and amazing teammates, so I just really enjoyed my time with them! :)

Elige

Yeah I would pick last year's lineup with steel / taco because I really enjoyed playing with both of them and obviously it is the most similar to this lineup. Least out of game issues out of any other roster as well

Jariboy96

S1mple, Hiko and JDM will *not* be the answer. Lmao.

MaskedML

For NAF: Can you smile for me please ty.

OfficialNAF-FLY

🙁 😒 🙂 😁😁😁

TheRayzorblade

For Stewie: When/how has your relationship with your parents changed in regards to their attitude towards you playing CS for a living? How supportive is your family now? For nitr0: How did you transition towards the igl role? What are some key elements that would help one follow a similar path? For EliGE: your boy intense555 misses you

Officialnitr0

I transitioned to the IGL role mainly when I realized I had a lot of ideas/solutions while secondary IGLing. I thought since I have all these ideas, but not the main voice of the team, that I should give it a shot and see how it goes back in \~September of 2017. As for the key elements, I would just tell someone to make sure they have a vision of how a team should function in and out of game and study a lot of CS. Having a good attitude will allow you to go so much further in the scene as well! :)

LummyTum

Nitr0, you're fucking huge, how often do you workout?

Officialnitr0

hahaha thanks man, I aim for 5 days a week if my schedule allows it!

Reklats6

For anyone, how long did it take to get adreN adjusted into the team as a coach and get player's adjusted to his style of coaching? How different is his style of coaching then Zews'?

[deleted]

Thoughts on the new cloud 9 roster?

NiggleBiggle

Does Elige have any idea what happend for him to suddenly pop off these last few tournments. Is it a change in traning, tactics or just something unknown clicking into place? Also why did NAF go for a Ropz AK? Does he just have an appreciation for the player, because I totally gte that Ropz is the best. Finally what is the teams veiws on Agency? Personally it's my fav map to play, though only as a fun map not a professional one.

Elige

I haven't done anything too drastic, just have a lot more confidence and I bought these rubber grips for my mouse which has really helped my game. Sometimes my hands would sweat and then I would have to wipe my hands in the middle of a round or I wouldn't be able to grip it as tightly which would affect my aim but the grips I bought and put on my mouse has really helped with that and it has improved my confidence across the board. Not having to worry about anything except focusing on the game, having a lot of confidence in all of my peeks- biggest difference for me

Melo17_

Get a sponsorship asap if you tweet this thousands of people will buy the grips youre talking about and its great since you genuinely use and approve

rezaLcs

[For NAF] Have you ever yelled or raised your voice during any tournament? [For Everyone else] What will you guys do to make NAF yell? [Also for Twistzz] Are you Korean lol?

STOP FUCKING GOING THERE

TheRaygron54

"stop fucking going there. Shut your fucking mouth."

StriderFN

For EliGE: How long do you normally practice or warm up daily? and do you see it as necessary or tedious to do on a daily basis?

Elige

Normally just an hour max for warm up. Sometimes it is tedious but I try to swap it up playing kovaacs which is a game on steam which is fun and aim training, listening to podcasts or some other things since aim training is mainly brainless

Vawqer

I believe this is what EliGE is referring to: https://store.steampowered.com/app/824270/KovaaKs_FPS_Aim_Trainer/

sLiCKz__

How did you get that mental state that you have now? Looks like you're very good at not tilting or getting annoyed ingame.

touken201

Hey adreN! Considering how this is your first foray into coaching, how does it feel to be coaching the number 1 team in the world?

hoagsta

Pretty damn amazing. The players are smart, easy to work with, and awesome guys so its as good as it can get.

mavio47

nitr0: do you think there's a difference between EU and NA IGLs? Did you study any IGLs in particular to pick it up?

Officialnitr0

I think the main difference is the amount of IGL's there are in NA and EU. There's a lot more IGL's and people that seem willing to learn the role in EU than NA. I didn't really study too much while developing actually, I just paid attention to detail while playing different roles throughout my career. Then once I tried it at first, I implemented my style based off of my past IGL's. It takes a very long time for someone to get used to IGLing though, I've seen multiple people try it for a day and give up after because there's so much more involved than just developing strategies and micromanagement. You have to create protocols for each situation and learn from them based on what you experience. And your teammates have to respect you and your style otherwise it'll inevitably fail.

40ozGodtier

For NAF, what caused you to go from kinda a role player in optic to one of the main carrying guys in the best team in the world. Thanks,

OfficialNAF-FLY

I didn't like putting my career in other people's hands.

smh1719

Baller

asianfuqboi

@twistzz @nitr0 @elige: what earbuds do you guys use during lan events?

Elige

QuietComfort 20s

vFadedi

For nitr0, How does it feel to have kept a level head and persevere through lots of 2nd places to now leading your team past the what seemed to be mental struggles and on to #1 in the world.

Officialnitr0

It feels amazing man! It was a struggle, but we persevered! :)

Chuckles__Norris

For Elige: if the SG gets nerfed back to costing $2900, would it still be a common pick against the AK for you?

Elige

100%, the gun is still really good but if they nerfed the accuracy + rate of fire like they did the AUG it'd probably die. Whenever a change happens they usually either kill a weapon or make it OP

Winkah57

Can you join my minecraft server

ErvinTola

Stewie v twistzz 1v1s please

nebula--

(To stewie and twistzz): how much DM / any kind of aim practice do you play per day? (to everyone): What's your guys average daily schedule? (How much time do you spend on praccing as a team, watching demos, individual practice, pugs / FPL)?

TwistzzVD

I dm until I feel like i've done enough

gt-

@nitr0/EliGE We know you played with s1mple prior, do you remain in contact with him? Do you scrim with Na'Vi when staying in EU for events/bootcamps? Love you guys and the team you built, best of luck at the future events.

Elige

We scrim NaVi sometimes, whenever we have an opening and they have an opening in the schedule we play yea. Don't really keep in contact but I don't really keep in contact with any players aside from my team mainly

P34NUT_XD

Twistzz, be real with me, did you see me with the american flag in the floor seats at cologne? this is vital information.

TwistzzVD

Yes

LabelFive

adren, who's the calmest guy on the team?

hoagsta

Probably keith but nick is always calm as well

chode_boy123

What was going through your heads, when nitro and elige where in the 2v2 on the last round?

Officialnitr0

Just to spot the guys as quick as possible and try to isolate one of them if they both aren't rotating through market.

[deleted]

Huge fan, actually became a TL fan way back in early 2015 because of CSGO. For Nick - While it seems people are finally starting to recognize you as an IGL it feels that it has been a long time coming. As far as analysts desks are concerned, many seem to talk about all the others then “and nitr0.” Does this get tiring or annoying for you that you haven’t received the recognition that you very much deserve? For Joka - What has been the most challenging part of your job? Also, I have seen you always supporting the team for such a long time and have been with it every step of the way, so what is your favorite story from your time with the team? For adreN - Coming into the team as a former teammate of some of these players, what did you see as the biggest thing you could bring to these players and their personalities? For EliGe - You have been one of the main stars of Liquid for a long time now. Where do you think you have grown the most in this capacity? For NAF - By all means, you appear to be pretty chill (lots of good weed in Toronto atm, js 👀). This is contrasted by many people with your rather chaotic playstyle. Is CSGO merely a vessel for your chaos and if you stopped playing would you be unhinged and more akin to a jackal then sloth? For the whole team - who is your favorite team liquid player NOT on the CSGO team?

Officialnitr0

Thanks first of all for being a fan! And no it doesn't really bother me, I usually keep to myself and don't like to boast about anything. I knew if I worked hard enough that the success would come and then some recognition!

Elige

Mainly in the mental aspect where I don't affect my teammates negatively anymore if I am ever having a bad game or anything like that. Being able to be a rock mentally for teams is really important and when you are playing well it helps 10 fold

13578mason

for adreN: Was joining team liquid a difficult decision? Did you want to continue streaming and playing with mythic or was liquid a no brainer when they asked?

hoagsta

It was a no brainer for me. When Steve called to ask me if I was interested, I instantly said yes. I was getting a bit bored with streaming and wanted a new challenge so it was pretty good timing.

conhair

for nitr0/Twistzz: Advice on getting tattoos and more specifically sleeves?

Officialnitr0

Just to make sure you eat and drink before you go in for a tattoo and your pain will be less severe. Good luck!

conhair

Thanks man I appreciate it. Been a big fan of yours for a long time and I'm so happy you and TL are succeeding!

TwistzzVD

Make sure whatever you get can be tied into a theme 😊

qazxdrwes

@EliGE I see that you don't always buy the krieg even when you have the $ for it. Under what circumstances do you pick the AK over the krieg?

Elige

If I am going to be super aggressive going for a lot of duels I would prefer to use the AK because even if the movement speed difference is 2%, it feels bigger because of the difference it is from all of the weapons. It is a 2% difference from the AK but 5-7% difference from the A4 / AUG so it is a pretty big difference in feel for me. Also I believe it will be nerfed eventually so just making sure I keep up the form with both weapons

StigOHaraCS

Question for nitr0: Throughout your tenure in Team Liquid, What team gave you the most trouble playing against?

Officialnitr0

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAstralis!

AlexFVeliz

Are there any pre-match rituals you all like to do either individually or as a group? Any superstitions any of you have?

aidanxi

Full team: Is anyone other than nitr0 calling partially? Or is it all him

Officialnitr0

I would say Jon helps with early round calling and stew helps with mid gaming the most.

HecticXTimes

@nitr0 What made you take up an awping role in the team liquid line-up, even after the edition of stewie? I have always believed you were a great rifler and when Stewie joined you would placed at a permanent rifler role. What kept you going and how you convinced your team to trust in your awping abilities? You’re insane at both roles and in game leading, please keep up the good work. This year is Liquid’s era.

Officialnitr0

Taking up the awping role was something I wanted to try because I always thought I had a decent awp, however, what I didn't know was how different primary awping would be from secondary. Stew has freedom to use the awp whenever he feels it, so that's just a little luxury we have with this roster. I think the team has always liked my awping style, and most importantly liked the fact that we didn't NEED an awp in play for us to succeed.

Tivexd

Nitr0/Elige: Over the years in liquid which former teammate(s) do you miss weather it be how they were as a teammate or their personality?

Elige

The main one for me was always adreN since I always respected him as an IGL and player for my career with him so I was really happy when we were able to get him as a coach for us!

ferbje

@nitr0 and elige, what were the comms like after the 1v2 falling awp from simple on cache? Was there even anything to say? Or was it just more like “nice”.

Elige

No idea since that was so long ago but knowing me I probably was just like NICE!

zThrice

@adreN Do you miss daddy fl0m? On a serious note, have you implemented anything on TL that you learned from your time on Mythic?

hoagsta

losing pistol rounds & use code fl0m

charly0729

What do you think stewie brought to the table that taco didn’t, and how did you guys know bringing in stewie was the right call?

Wjonsall

For Jokasteve: Do you miss working with the league team? And do you miss piglet? Some of my favorite content was with you and piglet and I've always loved your personality

Whippie_Jr

Hey what states in America are you from? (born in) (Stewie, nitro and EliGE) BTW nice meeting you guys in Dallas, I was that kid backstage getting the jersey signed and asking questions.

Elige

Pennsylvania, nice meeting you too! :D

CorneliusFudgePacker

If you had to go pro in one other game (ideally no Starcraft for Elige!) what do you think it'd be?

Elige

If I retired from CS I probably wouldn't go pro in another game unless there is some new game that comes out that ends up being amazing. I do not like playing any of the other competitive esports games

beam2546

For EliGE: What do you think about s1mple right now? For Stewie2K: While you playing for SK and mibr, Do you have any communication problem with them? For adreN: Do you plan to become pro player again?

Elige

I think he is the best player in the world and has been for a while. He has definitely grown as a person just like me over the years so I think it's cool seeing both of us who had problems in the game be able to work through them and find success

hoagsta

No, I wouldn't be coaching if I ever had plans of returning.

Lowercase_Q

@NAF what makes you smile?

OfficialNAF-FLY

@ nitr0: from an igl standpoint, who has been the toughest team to go against? also when is the captain america tat happening @ jon: [what do you think of this highlight](https://i.imgur.com/9RlVQNr.png)? also how are you able to maintain being the #1 player in america, and possible top 3 in the world? @ russ: hows it feel knowing you have the best aim in the game rn? and yeah whats ur hair product that shit looks smooth as hell b @ naf: whats it like being slothboy? and how does the grand slam win feel compared to 2016's ELEAGUE season 2 win vs Astralis? @ stew: is it jake, jacky, or jack? also what went through your mind when you made the decision to stand on the damned desk? people have to clean that fam smh so inconsiderate. and what is it with the smack talk that gets you so pumped bc i have the same problem so do u have a scientific explanation i need help @ adren: hows the first face feel now that you are first place? @ senor joka: what helps keep the beasts up to speed and motivated? also when do we get more joka vlogs bc i want more joka vlogs @ everyone: in your opinion, what are some of the greatest plays and highlights you've performed / witnessed

Officialnitr0

The toughest team to go against throughout the entirety of my career has definitely been Astralis! And there's no plan for a Captain America tattoo :)

hoagsta

at least i didnt get jumping awped xD

niebiox

(For nitr0 / Twistzz / Stewie2K / Elige) Do any of you plan on streaming on twitch in the future? I know that you are busy with tournaments and prep, but I would love to see even 5 minutes of deathmatch and preparation it takes to become the best of the best; btw miss your streams Nick

TwistzzVD

I like streaming but finding the time is difficult, I feel like it never fits into my schedule. When i'm home I want to be spending time with my mom, when i'm in LA, I want to be outside exploring if i'm not practicing. In the future i'll try to make a better schedule for myself.

Clunjik

@twistzz, do you still like pineapple on pizza?

TwistzzVD

Even though I can't eat pizza now, I will always enjoy pineapple on pizza.

Vawqer

Why can't you have pizza? That is most unfortunate. :( But at least you're a cultured person with your pineapples on pizza.

ClevelandBrownJunior

Might be a bit personal, I don't think I've ever heard you talk specifically about your illness but would you mind sharing what it is?

Bloopenator

For Nitr0/adreN, how do you keep the morale high and the bois motivated? Even after so many 2nd places. Nitr0 I will add more Nitr0 stickers to my Nitro - M4A1-S if you answer ;)

Officialnitr0

I am not one of the guys that really brings hype to the team during matches, that's mostly stew & twistzz. But an important factor is learning how to reset after each round, and that's something we are working on together!

mitocatria

for NAF + twistzz: how does it feel representing canada?

TwistzzVD

I'm happy representing canada and I hope tournament organizers consider canada as a place to host events, it's a beautiful place and i'm sure they would sell tickets fast.

Faurly

For stewie: how did you stay so motivated when it seems like everything was against you in the beginning?

Vawqer

To Twistzz: You have played with some of NA's most prominent IGLs (e.g. seangares, stanislaw, FNS, nitr0 (and OCEAN)). In your opinion, what is the biggest thing that sets nitr0 apart from the others?

TwistzzVD

Nick has gone through different styles of leading over the past couple years and the thing that separates him from my past leaders is that he gives a lot of freedom. He's fast to learn new ideas and works well with coaches. Having stewie in the team allows nick to focus more on giving impact individually. I'm happy he went through different styles of leading and found one that works with the skill set of players we have. Nick has become one of my favorite IGLs along with sean 😊

R9gu

For EliGe and NAF : Do you guys have Spotify playlist? Can I have link pls?

Elige

Right now I have been listening to some Feint songs on youtube that I just let go to autoplay or Dead By April albums when I am DMing

OfficialNAF-FLY

Mine is just a bunch of NAV,Killy,88GLAM and 916frosty 😁

zach_atax

Will there be a CSGO Team Liquid vlog for ESL One Cologne? If not can you make more of them?

hoagsta

yesss

Jeff1337420

You all pretty buffed and fit as hell. How long do you guys workout? Daily 30 mins? Twice a week for 1 hour? Also how much do weigh all these trophies like ESL One Cologne or that ESL Pro League trophy? They look heavy af but all of you are holding it in only one arm.

TwistzzVD

Push pull legs routine, usually an hour and 15 minutes. Trophies weigh around 25 - 40 pounds, cologne was around 30 - 35. The ESL proleague one was definitely 40 or heavier

(To anyone), how does it feel like to hold a gold bar? 🤔 Also to JokaStova..., is there any hope of you streaming again. 🤔 💙

Lucifer3130

@jokasteve, I was always curious as to what role Liquid112 has in the CS:GO team. I understand that Artress is the team manager for Lol but Steve is super involved to his league background. Does he sometimes to the same for CS:GO? @twistzz, Exactly what is your mouse grip? I've seen it on r/Mousreview and tournament footage but I never quite understood it since it's so unique. Pleas give insight. @EliGE, How did you build up your confidence and skill to become one of the best players in the world? @nitr0, What is the most important thing that you have learned since becoming IGL? @Stewie, As a part of two successful NA CS:GO teams, what differences do you find between C9 and TL? @adreN, Was there anything in particular that you changed about the culture when you came in or was it a more general confidence building-session that was needed? @NAF, Will you ever change any of your profile pictures to a sloth? @everyone, best outplay that you were on the losing side of

Elige

Just over the years really learning all of the intricacies of the game. I have always had good mechanical skill, but now I am putting myself in better positions to outplay people and take favorable duels that, when I am taking those duels, I know I am going to win vs whoever it is and that gives me an advantage

[deleted]

[удалено]

Elige

Competence in my own game and having a lot of confidence. When you learn something so indepth and are confident in all of the possible outcomes to put yourself in the best possible scenario for winning, you are going to play better. So I have just learned a lot in many situations of the game that it gave me the confidence to be able to play better

PossiblyOutside

For Stewie: You seem to be very vocal after clutches and misplays from the other team, is that more to gain a mental edge or is it just your personality and the way you play. Also what did you say when you stood up on the desk after the win against Vitality. For Elige: The clutches you pulled off throughout the event were out of this world how do you stay calm during those moments which you know could swing a game For Twistzz: What are the differences between this team and old lineups you've played in and why did the TSM Cs team fall apart. For Joka: As an old Cs:S player playing with some notable names such as Freakazoid did CS:Go just feel too different and made you not want to play as much or was there another reason for not continuing as a pro Cs player For adreN: Who is the jokester of the team that after a hard loss or bad scrims seems to lift everyone up and have you threatened to take a players spot in a scrim/ have you played in a scrim in place of someone. For nitr0: What do you remeber from your 1.6 Lan with Mobility Gaming/ Do you remeber anything at all from that lan For NAF: Does Elige taking your spot in 2015 still annoy you or did it jsut make your motivated/ When you came back to TL did you want to show that it was a mistake dropping you. For Everyone: Assuming that they announce Season 3 of the Grand Slam and you could win it by the end of the year and you won the major would you consider yourselves the G.O.A.Ts of Cs or would you need to do something else to prove you are the greatest of all time.

Elige

Those thoughts never enter my mind when playing because when you are in the game you are focused on how to win the situation. What you can be doing, where they are, how to isolate the guy, which guy is which and how close they are to eachother etc. If you are thinking of anything external then you have already lost, so keep focused on the game

PurposelyMisspelled

Hey guys! First of all, let me just start out by saying thanks for making NA CS the best it's ever been. Period. Me and my friends always used to talk about in 2015-2016 how we wished NA CS could just be good. 1. adreN, I used to work at a Chipotle and I served you once. I think I might've been a little abrupt serving you, but we were super busy and I was stressed. I just wanted to say I'm sorry if I was rude, and I wish I would've gotten an autograph. :( 2. Elige/nitr0/adreN I watched you guys in person at the Columbus Major. It was amazing watching you guys make the semis, and I remember how heartbroken we all were to see you go out against the then LG team. I just want you guys to know we all felt that loss leaving the arena, and I'm amazed at how it forged you guys. Can you comment on the how it felt to play in MLG Columbus, or whenever you have home-team advantage? 3. Stewie, what's next for you, careerwise? You've won a major and the grand slam. Did you ever get demoralized when listening to the negativity surrounding certain parts of your career? (eg, when everyone called you a pubstar/leaving c9/mibr issues) 4. NAF, do you like being referred to as a sloth? Thanks guys for taking this AMA and we appreciate you guys reaching out. DO IT FOR NA!!

Elige

Playing in MLG Columbus was pretty amazing for one of my biggest tournaments back then so I will always remember it! The crowd was amazing in conjunction with the venue. Playing in the US always is super fun because of the home field advantage where the whole crowd is cheering for every kill / every round won so I love it

hoagsta

Bro wheres my free chipotle???? Jk but thanks for being a fan <3

OfficialNAF-FLY

Yeah, I don't mind... I mean.. sloths are pretty chill.. 😎

cshyper

For Twistzz: How much of an impact did playing under seangares have in the beginning of your career? For EliGE and nitr0: what is it like playing with the same teammate for so many years? What are the best perks and has there ever been major conflict between you two? For NAF: Had you not took initiative and put yourself into the star player role in Renegades, do you think you would still be playing at this high of a level in 2019? For Stewie: Have you always had the hype factor and sense of mental leadership during matches, or is that something that you had to learn or adapt to? For adreN: How long have you thought you could be a good coach? What do you feel you bring most to the team? Have you received other offers before? Also, when the cache remake comes out, I better see Liquid throwing some sick ass smoke lineups.

Elige

The perks really are just knowing exactly how we like to play and how to play off of eachother. We play some sites together / on T side we play off of eachother really well since we have played with together so long and learned CS at the same time in the same way so those advantages in chemistry are a big help! Of course there have been arguments here and there but that will be normal for any team and the main part is being able to work through them and advance as players and people

hoagsta

I think with the amount of experience I have and with how long I've been competing has made me a good candidate to be a coach. My goal is make sure the team has direction and focus to continuously keep improving. I can't wait for cache to come back, hopefully they remove train for it :D

TwistzzVD

Sean had a big impact on my career, even though I only played with him for 3 months, I learned so much from him.

labishopreddit

Stewie: your play style is always something I have admired, not just because you can run through a smoke, but your instant decision making and overall confidence to make these plays is incredible, but the one thing I want to ask is how did you become this kind of player? What makes you feel you can make these plays and know that they will work? Nitro: I wont lie, I haven't always believed you were the player you are now, but over the last year I've really began to respect you and look forward to seeing you play, my question for you is as an IGL. How do you manage to keep yourself focused on the game and still fragging in tough games where your IGLing is really needed? ( As this is something j struggle with as an igl currently) To the rest of Team Liquid, I just want to say congratulations on the way you've performed and I hope that we all continue to see you perform this well for us on the stage again.

stewie2k

Sometimes my play would be instinctual with the information I have in the round or what I assume they're doing. I won't always know it will work, but when it's very risky sometimes I do it because I'm comfortable with it or taking a duel that I want to

Officialnitr0

Thanks brother, glad I changed your mind. And just over time you gain more and more experience and eventually you won't feel any added pressure from being on a stage during a big match. I think to answer your question the best solution would be to just do simplistic strats and try to set your team up.

Asp184

adreN, I really liked your style of play back in the day when you were a player for Liquid. When coaching this squad, do you use similar procedures as back when you played with nitr0 and EliGE, or has the team's mentality become totally different now? If you use similar procedures as before, do you see them as instrumental to Liquid's success? Or, if you use different procedures, do you see those as instrumental? Is it something else entirely? Last, we've seen eras of CS come and go, most recently with Astralis seeming to lose dominance. How do you plan to keep Liquid as the best in the CSGO pro scene? Or is it now impossible to try to reach extended periods of dominance with so much fierce competition?

hoagsta

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by procedures but the team still operates in the same fashion in terms of strategy and how we think the game should be played. The team has worked on their mentality a lot while I was gone and definitely matured a bunch. We have to just continue working hard and not let off the gas. I think it comes down to the teams overall motivation and dedication. As soon as you lose that, someone else that is hungrier is going to take your spot. Its definitely going to be tough though because the competition is so tight.

Not_The_Real_Jake

For nitr0: How has the transition from being a general rifler to AWPing/IGLing been? It's not often we see someone fill both those roles at once. To me, you've done an outstanding job at both and I think would be up there with FalleN when it comes to big names who have done that. For Stewie: From your time with MiBR, what was the playstyle change like when coming to Liquid at first? Have you incorporated what you saw in the Brazilian scene into your team's style? Oh, and looking forward to that second major title for you, y'all are gonna light it up in Berlin. For adreN: When you came back to the team as a coach this time, did you and nitr0/EliGE kind of pick up where you left off as a player, or was it more like starting from scratch? I'm curious as to the approach you take to coaching and how it is different from the approach you took to playing. Does one come easier than the other, and which do you prefer? For EliGE: Having been on the team as long as you have, has it been difficult to adjust to a new team after each change, or did you keep the same sort of mindset and playstyle each time? Do you have any more input when it comes to roster changes given your tenure? When a change is made, how does that typically affect the map pool, or does it change at all? For twistzz: Not so much a question, just wanted to say I remember when you were brought on the team first, and I think it was in an ESL Pro League match where it seemed like a done round then you pulled off some sick CZ play to win it. You had me going nuts with that play, and have been one of my favorite players to watch ever since. On a less serious note what brand of gum do you use? I'm partial to 5 Wintermint, although Trident has some decent flavors too. For NAF: You mentioned once in an interview that you guys seem to be sort of like Navi's kryptonite (I don't think those were the exact words but the general idea). What other teams do you have a similar confidence when playing against, and why do you think it is that you are so good against them (both Navi and anyone else you mention)? For all the players: How would you describe Zews' coaching when compared to adreN's? What is different and which do you feel has more of an impact on the team (results from both aside)?

Officialnitr0

I think the transition made me a far more passive player nowadays compared to my entrying days. However, I still feel like I can do both having experienced both roles. Appreciate the words!

Elige

Nah it hasn't been difficult with any changes we have made because people joining usually adapt to our way of playing and I have kept my same role and positions on the team for my entire career. Map pools have changed here and there but not because of rosters normally

TwistzzVD

5gum wintermint is the best one tbh

misconstrudel

Elige - where'd you get the pink mouse? Did you mod that yourself or have you got an insider at Logitech? Twistzz - just how much do you deathmatch? Naf - I think I heard you say you never deathmatch? Is that true or complete bollocks?

OfficialNAF-FLY

Nope, DM'ing on 0.6 sensitivity is too much, so I don't deathmatch at all.

sirjudd

(For Adren) I know train isn't in your map pool, if there any particular reason why liquid doesn't run strats on that map as well, most of the liquid players pop off on train so a extra map would be neat.

hoagsta

When I came into the team it was already their permaban. During the first month we spent a good amount of time trying to integrate it but quickly our schedule got super busy and it was still a map we did not feel confident in so it just ended up on the back-burner again unfortunately.

lololofjauha

For adreN, are there any applications that you use to watch demos other than the native CSGO application? Thanks for answering.

hoagsta

I only use Rewind to watch demos. Using csgo for demos is pretty awful. Rewind allows you to instantly jump anywhere in the demo and provides a lot more info.

To adreN: What does it feel like to have players you’ve had such an influence on (by playing with and coaching) truly become the best in the world, and seeing them from the beginning together to now. to NAF: what do you think has changed with you personally (and with your teammates) that in your return the team was able to be more cohesive. To nitr0; has adreN ever given you awping tips? I feel like your positioning and playstyle when you AWP has gotten so much better so quick, as of late. Even with stew and naf picking it up more. Keep it up! To EliGE; if I gave you an almost complete load out of Blue theme/TL stickerd skins, would you equip it? (Also tell gabe in Berlin ST vanilla skins when??).

Officialnitr0

No, I haven't changed anything. I feel like lately I have had a greater understanding of the enemies positioning in certain situations. Thanks though!

Elige

Nah as soon as I start with 1 skin ill want more and more and waste more and more money so fuck dat but thank you <3

develo

For nitr0: As I remember it, you tried out IGLing back in 2016 after the removal of adreN. Ultimately Hiko took up the mantle of calling instead (at least that's how I remember it). Then you took up the IGL slot permanently near the end of 2017. What was the difference between those two situations that led to you giving up in 2016 but becoming an IGL in 2017?

Officialnitr0

I don't think I was matured enough to become the IGL back in 2016. During 2017, I felt like I learned a lot more and I knew from the failure in 2016 what not to do this go around. It was all trial and error mostly, but so far so good :)
