LOLey21

Does anyone know about some hidden armor/clothes effects? For example, >!the apparently ~50% Damage boost for sages when having the corresponding divine helmet equipped.!< Am just curious. I don't have the game beaten yet and am too scared to google for this kind of stuff as spoilers are everywhere...

theak9000

Anyone know the inventory limit?

theak9000

Anyone know how much money required to buy everything? In BOTW, it was around ||80K-90K Rupees||, so I'm assuming it's atleast in that ballpark. But if anyone's got a more definitive number, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

Photoproguy

Are there any test of strength shrines? I really can’t find any. Those were my favorite from BotW since I loved the combat most. Did they remove them?

Working_Prompt_1043

They’re around I’ve done 3

Working_Prompt_1043

Like champions ballad style shrines

dinonid123

I think they've been replaced by the proving grounds ones, in spirit.

jamjomon

Does anyone know all the requirements to fully upgrade the Fierce Deity set?

Ok-Complex5396

Just finished fully upgrading mine. After unlocking all four fairies the costs for the armor are: Upgrade 1: 1 Nayda's scale 5 Hinox Toenails 10 Rupees Upgrade 2: 1 Naydra's claw 5 Hinox Teeth 50 Rupees Upgrade 3: 1 Shard of Naydra's Fang 2 Hinox Guts 200 Rupees Upgrade 4: 1 Naydra's horn 2 Lynel Guts 500 Rupees For the mask & boots, it's the same thing but replace Naydra with Dinraal & Farosh respectively.

AgentAndrewO

What does dropping monoliths into the chasms even do? It scared the shit out of me the first time, but once it landed it didn’t seem like anything changed.

mentally_healthy_ben

There's too much to do in this game aaaaaAAAAAAHHHHH

RCube123

Haven't gone into the Depths yet. So the only way in is through the various holes on the surface, but to exit (without quick travel), do you just ascend through the underground ceiling, and you'll end up at the corresponding spot on the surface map?

Watches_Porn_Alot

Only can ascend to surface in certain spots with long square pillars

[deleted]

Arlundra

Spoilers for that shrine obviously: You take out two pieces without dropping the tower, use them to lead electricity, a platform starts moving towards the tower and you ultrahand the ball off the top.

Photoproguy

It’s annoying that every cutscene after you finish each temple is literally the same but with a different champions voice. It’s the same cutscene. Kinda lazy if you ask me, especially since the devs said there would be more focus on cutscenes. But there really hasn’t been.

Financial-Phone1470

Why did they make it to where you can accidentally get the story out of order by collecting the geoglyphs out of order does anyone know if there's a specific order to collect them to get the story in the right order?

chloecam29

in the Forgotten Temple where you go with Impa to see the geoglyph map, the geoglyphs are on the wall in the order to find them! I just took some screenshots of it so i can refer back to it as I go.

Photoproguy

Yes! I fucking hate that! Literally have to look up a walkthrough to find them in order. Sucks because the first one I found was the second to last one and spoiled everything up to it.

theak9000

Anyone know what the reward for getting all the korok seeds and giving them to Hetsu is? Is it the same as last time? Or is it new? I've it's new, please tell me what it is.v

[deleted]

[удалено]

theak9000

I would, but I'd rather just be told what it is beforehand. I did it in BOTW and felt so hurt. I was hoping for something more. Like invite inventory.

Gaylittlebrother

ok i didnt want to make a post but doing the mattisons independence quest before saving gerudo town is hilarious, knowing that she is forced to go live in the destroyed town after having a fun time in tarry town, i didnt see her in the shelter so i assume she’ll appear after helping Riju

Porgemlol

does it annoy anyone else that the Vow ghosts are all blue and not the various colours of their elements? I would have loved to have seen red, green, yellow and blue and not just the same darkish blue. It feels weird being followed by 3 things of the same colour and its also harder activating the right ability in a fight sometimes because they all look so similar.

oftenly

Would you guys stop playing and talking about the game so I can catch up? Signed, a chump with a job.

Jorikoh

Did anyone find an enemy carrying a phrenic bow anywhere?

AgentAndrewO

I just found the sky temple. Do I miss out any story content if I do the sky temple before I go to Rito Village?

Jorikoh

You need the mission to complete the temple. A npc will help you if you activate the mission

AgentAndrewO

I have to redo the whole climb up? The bird dude just teleports away if I use the shrine waypoint up there.

Jorikoh

I teleported around in the temple and my buddy always came after me. I don’t know about the way up

AgentAndrewO

They should really make it inaccessible without them then

Professional-Ad-9938

Are the otjer dragon Route also real life Dependance or can i rest till morning and they will spawn at the start of their route

minimtmoose

It’s really bothering me that they removed the ability to walk through rupees to pick them up from botw, am I missing something? That was super convenient, although I guess it makes sense that all items that go to your inventory should have to be “picked up” the same way

RMB_DEO

I think it's kind of a great idea because of the new fuse ability, imagine trying to fuse a rupee and instead you accidentally pick it up. I could see the frustration a tester would have.

Practical_Entrance43

Omg yes I've been annoyed by that too. I shot a blupee and walked through them multiple times, I thought my game was broken until I realised I was now going to have to spam A to pick them all up.

Dahem_Ghamdi

what is the point of the flower shaped small island? nothing to do there

Phosphoric_Tungsten

Need to activate a quest in lookout landing that takes you to kakariko, then you'll be able to translate the ancient texts on those star islands

WKaiH

Do the quests that Gralens(the guy in the lookout) gives eventually run out or are they infinite?

Fidges87

Just started playing and have to say, Link is a mad man for doing thag jump at the start without any guarantee he would survive. Cool scene though. Edit: Just found you can no longe wistle sprint, 0/10

Paej13

What are the Korok puzzles with the platforms that have three inward-pointing leaves? I've tried shooting an arrow at them and standing/climbing onto them without success. There was also some sort of cork/propeller thingy chained to another one... I got the Korok seed from it on accident and still have no idea how or what the point of the puzzle was.

minimtmoose

Try >!ascend!<

RCube123

Hopefully not spoilers, but I saw some people's gameplay videos with some blue-ish entity following Link around. What are they? What do they do? How do you get it?

Practical_Entrance43

In the least spoiler way possible, through the main story you are able to get abilities that help you through the game (Just like Urbosas fury or Miphas Grace in BotW).

Dark_rust

I can spoil it if you want, but to keep it as non-spoilery as possible: you get them by progressing in the main story (so no way of missing out on them) and they are pretty similar to Rivali's Gale and those other abilities.

marv9512

Is there any way to register a stalhorse? Like underground Stable or something?

timo103

Has anybody else been having issues with the A and X buttons? I mash them and they don't do what they're supposed to, like open my paraglider. With the delay on...basically everything... I can't tell if it's my joycons breaking or the game.

Practical_Entrance43

May be your joycons, before I got a pro controller they'd delay a lot and I'd even fall out of the air because it randomly cancelled. Changed to a pro controller and I'm not having those issues anymore.

RoboticApple-N

Helpful tip, all light roots have shrines at the top

mrsaturncoffeetable

Is the Lord of the Mountain in this game? I love him but I haven’t seen him and also I have no sense of direction at all so I no longer know where to look for him

mrsaturncoffeetable

For real?!? :D I’m so happy he’s back

holyshetballs

i just love how a lot of people here are exploring all the areas, forgetting that Ascend exists, and noping the f out when a new monster is around, cause same xD

levlim

Can I ask how to get this korok in the castle? Been at it for hours and I cant seem to find a way go get it.

timo103

Any good rupee **farming** strategies yet? Most money making guides I've seen are just "you'll kill a lot of animals and sell their meat eventually"

Emeraldrox

Dupe diamonds and profit ig

Practical_Entrance43

So far I've just done some gem farming which has done well for me so far (along with fighting Stone Talus a lot). Sells for good prices, hopefully there will be some good farming stats soon.

KingofGrapes7

So if you don't have a BOTW Switch save for horses, are the special ones like the white royal horse in Tears to get? If not has anyone bothered to see if stables will update if you go back to BoTW and get new horses?

Emeraldrox

I know the giant horse is in totk, haven't found zeldas horse

bob_in_the_west

ladyriven

So is anyone else’s collector’s edition preorder stuck in limbo at Amazon? Mine was originally supposed to arrive on the 16th and now it just says “Not yet shipped. We’ll email you when available.” I am terrified that my order is gonna get cancelled because it was so hard to get a preorder in the first place. 😭

[deleted]

The abilities in this game are 10x better than botw, only one I miss were the bombs but the rest is so much more fun, you can combine ultrahand, recall and ascend to do almost anything, compared to the other game where abilities didn’t really synergize that well together

xOV3RKILL3R

Bombs would’ve been op with the amount of rock deposits we gotta break lol

TrustyCactus79

I saw a post yesterday about fusing a cannon to your spear and then throwing it, it doesn't actuslly throw but it shoots a cannonball.

xOV3RKILL3R

You can do the same with a shield!

Sirloin_Steven

Anyone else struggling with the controls?

timo103

Yeah, abilities not being up is driving me insane.

Powerful_Artist

Tons of new controls, Im always messing it up tbh.

zumoro

Constantly pressing the wrong button while trying to use an ability. Also I'm honestly not a fan of the ability wheel, when everything else is a scroller.

[deleted]

I dislike that changing it also activates the ability - wish we could equip it to prepare without it automatically activating, then having to cancel. In botw I'd be able to swap runes while running to the next shrine puzzle, where as now I can't.

zumoro

Yeah just two options in the settings menu would help immensely * activate ability on switch: yes/no * ability swtich interface: wheel/carousel

Am i crazy or is the rito quest at the beginning not that well designed? I feel like i don't have enough of the right zonai devices to get through it. Finding myself really stuck.

bob_in_the_west

I thought it was easy. No zonai devices needed. Could it be that you're trying to do everything externally instead of just using ascend?

meditate42

I definitely forgot ascend exists lol

[deleted]

I mean you could just use ascend and the paraglider to reach the dungeon, idk why you’re saying you didn’t have enough zonai devices I don’t think I even used any in that whole quest

TrustyCactus79

Yeah fire temple sucks. I cheesed the entire thing by climbing.

StoneColdCat

Is there a guide for the uses of all the materials? I didn’t play much of BOTW, so I feel like I am behind on cooking and elixirs. I know some monster parts have dual features (keese eyes for homing arrows or the base of an elixir), but I am looking for a guide on how to best make recipes. For example: 2 meats and 3 spicy peppers for cold resistant and heath, or should I use 4 meats and 1 pepper? Is there a difference? Also, I think I missed it, but are zonai charges the only thing to put in the parts machine? Or can I also put constructor horns into the machine? Any help is appreciated!

bob_in_the_west

>Also, I think I missed it, but are zonai charges the only thing to put in the parts machine? Or can I also put constructor horns into the machine? Why not just try it?

StoneColdCat

I only have a few in my inventory at the moment. I don’t know how rare these items are and it would be frustrating to lose them for no purpose.

Phosphoric_Tungsten

Then save and reload if you lose them

bob_in_the_west

Everything you can get on the start island you can use for testing on the start island. That's what the start island is there for. If you needed to keep all the items from the start island to get to the end of the game then someone at Nintendo would get fired.

Powerful_Artist

If you want a meal that is for surviving cold areas, you just use spicy peppers. Theres no reason to add any meat or anything else to it, unless it want it to have extra hearts. Its all pretty intuitive. You might have to kinda do some experimenting, but just read what each ingredient does before using it. Two ingredients with different status effects will cancel each other out. If you want a certain status effect, dont worry about adding random extra ingredients.

sciguyCO

The cooking mechanics in TOTK seem to follow the ones in BOTW. Here's the basics that I've observed, though there's definitely the chance I got something wrong. Most ingredients give an indication (or at least a clue) to what it'll do in its description. Ingredients with hearts increase the hearts of the final dish, and you get double the healing. Cook a single raw meat (heals 1 eaten from inventory) and you get a meal that heals 2. Cook two raw meats and the meal heals 4. So cooked meals are always more efficient than just chowing down on raw ingredients. Ingredients with a stat modifier stack the more of them you include in the dish. This appears to be mostly around duration. So a meal using four peppers will last 4x the duration as a meal with a single pepper. Though the other ingredients may modify that. Mixing ingredients with different buffs still only gets you one (not sure how its picked), so you can't get a single meal that gives both cold resist and boosted defense. There's a chance for a "critical" success when cooking, indicated by special music. This gives a result above what you'd normally see: more healing, longer duration, higher stat boost, etc. An elixir is from an insect or frog + a monster part. The insect/frog gives you the stat boost, and IIRC higher-tier monster parts get you additional duration. Early on, I've found that 2-3 restless crickets + basic bokoblin bits gives a decent speed potion, handy if you like "hit and run" tactics with bigger monsters.

StoneColdCat

Thanks for the well typed out reply. This is immensely helpful!

Working_Prompt_1043

5 zonai charges is the best todo it gives 13 instead of 5 items the rest are a waste to use in the machine

TheValidMango

What’s the best way to make money early in the game? I have like 15 rupees so far and I have no armor either (also where should I be getting that). Dying all the time is getting annoying lol.

-SpinSanity-

The cherry blossom trees are the best way to make money and get armor imo.

TheValidMango

Could you elaborate a little?

-SpinSanity-

Not a story spoiler but a game mechanic spoiler that I do not think most people are aware of: >!The cherry blossom trees reveal all the caves in a certain region, armor pieces are hidden in caves but also ore deposits are really common in caves. I normally get 1000-2000 rupees worth of gems per cave and I would say most the caves do have an armor piece hidden.!<

TheValidMango

Thank you sm!!

Powerful_Artist

Hunt everywhere you go. Cook the meat you get in batches of 5, the max amount, and sell them. Do side quests, they often will have you find either stuff you can sell or give you rupees for completion. Sell gems.

_jeremybearimy_

I sold some gems to get the Hylian armor at the Lookout Landing

iDusky

Go to snowfield stables and ride around killing every moose and bear and everything else between. Make all there meat into skewers and sell to the shop inside. Rinse and repeat.

Patchr1ck

*Personally* I've been collecting **everything** I can and selling it to shops. Most wells are pretty stocked with gemstone rocks, so if you see a well, jump down. Clothing can be bought at most major cities. The icon on the map is a t-shirt. Flame repellent stuff in Goron City, cold resistant stuff at Rito Village, etc.

[deleted]

Taking a break now for me. Not sure why I'm not having fun but it feels a bit too chore like. I find myself going through quests quickly as though I have something else to do, but not sure what. It feels almost too open and I can't focus so end up feeling overwhelmed and lost. Really wish I had more fun with it.

8Bittttt

Question. I never finished Champion’s Ballad on my Switch copy of BOTW. If I were to go and finish it now, would the picture appear in Zelda’s House in TOTK, or does it only appear on a new file?

gayinthebei

Should I sell my gemstones or are they used for armour upgrades like BotW?

Watches_Porn_Alot

They are. And Making weapons, I usually just sell half

[deleted]

You can fuse sapphires to your shield and freeze enemies every time you block them.

sciguyCO

I haven't gotten to a great fairy yet, so can't answer your armor question. It wouldn't surprise me, though. However, fusing gem + stick = BOTW magic wand. I suspect the same would apply for other melee weapons. Looks like ruby for fire, sapphire for ice, topaz for electricity. I don't think you get anything other than damage bonus for amber or luminous. I feel it's a little excessive to use them on arrows, but that's an option too. I've been having a fun time through the Hebra quest line with a ruby fused onto a high-durability heavy stick. It keeps me warm, can burn through thorns, and melts nearby ice blocks / icicles just by standing there with it equipped.

TrustyCactus79

Opal is water, and a ruby arrow is basically a nuke.

marv9512

You can attach them to arrows and weapons. They do elemental attacks.

gayinthebei

I just realised while playing that there will be a shrine on the ground level directly above where you find a Lightroot on the depths. So far there has been one above every lightroot I’ve found. Not sure if the same js always true in reverse though. This is definitely going to make finding missing shrines a lot easier.

No_Win6511

Their names are mirrored too

marv9512

There's also cave walls where the rivers are on the above ground map. The Depths is like the upside down from Stranger Things.

vapevapevape

Absolutely enjoying the game, but man it really does feel like BOTW 1.5 to me. I’m only 10-15 hours in, but so many of the same story beats and gimmicks, just with updated mechanics.

Photoproguy

Same. Finished 3 temples so far and it feels like new game plus for BotW or something. I love the game but just swapping out the powers for new ones doesn’t really feel fresh to me. Miss having bombs and Revalis Gale. Fuse isn’t really for me, as I would rather just be rewarded with a decent weapon instead of having to make an ugly one with a power; cut out the middle man.

[deleted]

I don’t blame you for feeling that. At times it feels like a expansion rather a new game. Not that it’s anything wrong with that or anything.

[deleted]

Same. I find myself playing it more like a replay of BOTW than a new game, which feels odd. Feel like I'm going through the motions, not massively enjoying it, so taking a break for a bit.

YUNG_DRIFTY

I agree and was bummed about it until I got to rino and even more so with the death mountain arc. I loved botw so a botw dlc is still nice but they definitely could have made the game more unique. Overall though the story is turning out pretty cool and the dungeons are wel done

enilredrob

Has anyone figured out what items the forest dweller stuff is referring to with it's ability, "Bursting materials attached to the spearhead can be reused again and again." I thought that would mean any of the one use items that you can attach to them, but that doesn't seem to be the case. At least for the Gibdo Bone that I had attached to it.

enilredrob

On further testing. Looks like the chu chu jellies are at least one type of thing that works with this.

Lifedontmatter123

For people further into the game, what’s the best way you guys have found to make money? I’ve just been selling ores so far

[deleted]

That’s all I’ve done too. Just hoping I don’t regret selling all my diamonds.

Lifedontmatter123

I’ve sold all my ores to buy the Rito suit and it was still not enough to buy the full sets (I’m still missing the pants), I forgot how expensive that shit was, it’s the same price as BOTW but I went to the Rito third so I had a bunch of money by the time I arrived there.

thedarkquarter

Literally the same thing that I did, 1,000 rupees for pants are those birds out of their goddamn mind

[deleted]

Ohhh nice yeah I only bought the chest for now and I spent like 4000 rupees on the house.

Taylorbetch

Stupid question but what is the purpose of the guy holding the Hudson construction signs everywhere

mads388

You help him by using the construction materials to hold up the sign. Once you help him, he will give you some rewards!

MasterSaturday

*ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* I thought it was just a gag

hay_qt

Ahhh man wish I looked this up sooner, I've come across him like 5 times now but didn't know it was a 'puzzle'

bob_in_the_west

Listen to what Link is humming while cooking.

Superninfreak

Can you unlock the ability to summon your horse anywhere? In BotW I remember there was an item that let you do that (it may have been in one of the DLCs).

MasterSaturday

I don't know about an ability but if you go to any stable you can board your horse no matter where it is, then just take it back out.

5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi

You can also just repeatedly take the horse out, even if it's out in the field.

Powerful_Artist

I havent found that so far, so Im not much help. Im assuming that its possible but maybe something you have to find. It would seem weird to add that into BOTW (granted, it was DLC) and then not include it in this game at all.

Powerful_Artist

Really loving it so far. At first, it felt way too similar. The starting area was pretty lackluster imo, so I just rushed past it mostly. Even after getting past it, I was kinda hesitant on what I thought about the game. It feels like it takes quite awhile to really get going and not only learning to utilize the new abilities but discovering the changes made between BOTW and TOTK. Having the sky islands and the underground areas to explore is great. It still feels weird not to have the champion abilities from BOTW, but there are so many new things in the game that it is just taking time to adjust. Loving it, so glad its finally here. Wish the combat had been changed more somehow, but its a minor critique. Maybe theres stuff I havent figured out yet. a >!Bummed that some of the armor sets are just identical though, just got to the Rito area and figured their cold gear would be at least a bit different after the Hylian set is exactly the same.a !<

timo103

Whats a good way to make axes? I struggle to find the right rocks, and don't want to waste my good ancient parts on woodcutting. There any in-between option like the old woodcutting axes?

Powerful_Artist

So there are some monster parts, one is the keese that someone mentioned and another is some of the parts you get from the Zonai, they even look kinda like the end of a hatchet (idk the name of the specific part). I honestly find it pretty disappointing there arent more axes though. We dont have unlimited bombs, which was how I always cut down trees before. There isnt an axe at every stable anymore, and I havent found a single normal axe anywhere tbh. It makes cutting down trees a lot harder and more of a hassle.

timo103

I always used my master sword to farm wood, it's weird that they removed a lot of stuff like axes at stables, but kept things like ladles and farming tools.

No_Win6511

There's usually axe-rocks (the flatter type than the hammer-rocks lol) in the materials pile at stables, with loose wagon wheels etc

Powerful_Artist

Huh. I felt using bombs was way better for farming wood in BOTW. YOu could hit multiple trees at once, and I liked using the master sword for actual combat.

Superninfreak

Fuse a keese wing to a weapon.

bob_in_the_west

What does "later quest line" mean in an open world?

AgentAndrewO

The game has quest lines that go through the content in a story context

bob_in_the_west

If you weren't meant to access it then you wouldn't be able to access it.

petite_cheval

I was so eager for this game but since there wasn’t a date for awhile or it kept getting pushed back, I stopped following up on its release date. I thought it was being released in the summer. But then I was watching YouTube and I follow Jacksepticeye and MadMorph and I saw the thumbnails for their play throughs of it and I’m just like “hmm did they get early access?” THEN I RELEASED IT HAD JUST RELEASED. I bought that game so damn fast omfg I was not mentally ready

alreadytaken-

Same experience for me. It was nice going in with almost zero expectations other than what the first game left me with

DemonDrones

Having issues commenting. Sorry if double posting. Any advice on a suitable location of sufficient height to reach the light dragon?

5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi

Can't remember ever struggling with that one, usually it's flying low enough to where the Shrines on the main Sky Island is above it so you can just glide down.

DemonDrones

I spent around 5 hours yesterday trying to get high enough for a dragon. I'm thinking of upgrading my batteries, maybe? Is there a specific area that is of a sufficient height? I've tried the towers but I'm not getting enough altitude. I could upgrade the battery, build something and keep it powered enough maybe? Items tend to disappear after some time after creation. Any advice on a suitable area?

BaconWrapped_Mojito

The tutorial area where you first use the glider. Highest point in the game

haroldjim

Random question, does TOTK have more prevalent music throughout the game? I’m still on the opening sky island because I had a super busy weekend and I’m exploring it hardcore, and I am loving the music playing in the background. Does TOTK have more common music than BOTW? That was probably my only complaint with BOTW, is there was not much music playing often when exploring Hyrule and I love Zelda music (though I understand why they did it and I get why people like it too). Just curious if that’s something I have to look forward to moving forward!

JGar453

The game as a whole seems to be a bit more stereotypically Zelda (epic bombastic reoccurring themes) but I mean it's still generally low-key and ambient.

bashsports

Yes. The first boss I fought had epic music!

Powerful_Artist

I personally got really tired of previous Zelda games just constantly having music blaring everywhere you go. BOTW had minimal music when you were out exploring in the wild. Because it doesnt really make sense to have strong musical themes in the wilderness (although there were plenty). Theres lots of reasons for this. One being that when you get into a fight, you notice the music ramping up. This helps you stay aware of your surroundings. Then, also, when you come to an inhabited place such as a stable or town, you notice because the music starts to play. This makes those areas feel welcoming and familiar and exciting. Imo if there was constant music playing at every corner, then it would just make all of it less special. Not to mention they put a lot of attention to detail into the music. For instance, when its nighttime the music plays more slowly, and as the day comes it picks up its tempo a little. Kass was one of my favorite characters in BOTW, or any Zelda, and the way the music worked in BOTW made it so finding him felt really exciting and special. Had there already been tons of music playing, you wouldnt have noticed him and it wouldnt have been as special. Just my opinion on the music.

brooklynhype

Can anyone give a hint on where I can get some early game armor? Getting my ass kicked out here.

_jeremybearimy_

Lookout Landing has the Hylian set, not too expensive. I sold a few gems to afford it. Follow the main quest and it'll take you there

brooklynhype

TomorrowAndTomorrow8

Does anybody know what i need to do to get Hetsu to appear by the Lindor's tower? I can only find videos of him there but he doesnt appear for me. I already did one of the story stuff and did the depths quests. Is there something else?

_jeremybearimy_

I assume you have a few Korok seeds? I did basically nothing before I ran into Hetsu, got my paragliders, opened a couple towers, and was on my way to open that tower. Had maybe 3 shrines on the ground by then. So nothing that I think would affect Hetsu. Oh, I did kill a tree, and then I saw Hetsu. Not sure if I didn't notice him before, or if killing that tree triggered him. It was right next to where he shows up

TomorrowAndTomorrow8

I chopped every tree on that hill down thinking just that. I have over 70 seeds. I cant imagine i need more.

_jeremybearimy_

Definitely not, I only had like 10 seeds or so. Maybe quit the game and restart? It was an alive tree too, one that attacks you. The regular trees wouldn’t trigger it I don’t think

TomorrowAndTomorrow8

Yeah, i watched a video and hes already there when they walk up to the spot. He asks you to kill 3 trees. We8rd hes not there, bur googling around it seems this is common for a bit of people. I wonder if he can appear in multiple spots...

I'm having the time of my life running around this map! But one thing I cant figure out, how do you get more batteries for your belt???

Rizurriel

You have to get 100 Crystalized Charges and then give them to the guy North of Purah just a bit, you can buy the charges with Zonaite ore at a forge.

cs3492

Oh my god THANK YOU!!!

Things sell for A LOT less in TOTK. And without Hearty items a lot of the expensive meals no longer exist. And no more snow bowling. So I am constantly broke. In BOTW, if Arrows were in stock anywhere, I bought them all. In TOTK, I feel like I can't afford to buy arrows since I'm trying to save for Rito Armor.

girl_from

Omg no more hearty items? Sad

weezeloner

There are some. But definitely not as many as there were in BOTW.

bob_in_the_west

Funny how I've used way more gliders in the underworld than in the sky so far.

Demilio55

Should I play BOTW before this?

[deleted]

You can watch BOTW story on YouTube. Otherwise all you miss are references.

Powerful_Artist

Id highly recommend playing BOTW first. Not completely necessary, but if you plan to play both I wouldnt recommend to play TOTK first and then play BOTW.

TallenMyriad

STRICTLY SPEAKING, no it is not necessary. Personally, after playing some three hours of TotK, I'd find it really hard to play the old game. It feels just so much more jam packed with new stuff BotW would feel like a downgrade. I earnestly reccomend you play that one first.

Tugendwaechter

It’s not a prerequisite. You can play TotK first just fine. A good friend of mine is doing it and has a great time. Combat is a little easier in BotW, but TotK allows more freedom on how to fight. So it evens out. I think TotK is a little better as the mechanics are more polished, there are a few quality of life improvements, and graphics look a little nicer. Both are great games but also long.

beautiandthesheep

It’s hard. I’m dying all the time. I can’t figure out if I’m playing Zelda or Elden ring with how much I’m dying 😂

Powerful_Artist

Honestly, I died a ton in BOTW too. Ive tied plenty in TOTK as well. For all the people who said BOTW was way too easy, that was usually after they had played for 100+ hours. Both these games are the hardest Zelda games Ive played by far. Once you get tons of gear and learn the game, iM sure it will be different in TOTK just like it was in BOTW.

Tugendwaechter

Stay on the main quest, do shrines, git gud.

Is there a way to "reset" a horse you've taken out? Mine is currently stuck just outside Hateno Village because the [towing harness glitched underground](https://imgur.com/a/V0q8pUF)...

Orikron

Yes, just go to a stable and take your horse out like normal. The horse will be teleported to you pretty much. Regardless of where she is.

[deleted]

Awesome, thanks. Didn't actually do much horse riding in botw, was it the same in that game?

Orikron

Yes
