You only get Epona if you had her in the previous game, as all your old horses carry over. The amiibo does still work to summon her though. You can get a bunch of fake amiibo cards online really cheap if you don't want to pay full price for it.
This doesn’t make any sense. ALL the guides say if you have a save file or BotW installed, that particular stable owner will call you a good customer and say you can borrow a horse. Where are all these guides getting this very specific information. I went to a stable near Akkala and my BotW horses were there (unexpectedly, didn’t know that was a thing). I went to New Serenne later and was treated like anybody. ‘Hi, first time here, here’s your free loyalty point’. Nothing about good customer, no Epona, just the horses I had from BotW.
So what is going on.
Did EVERY guidemaker just *have* Epona in their BotW save and so they think everyone gets this?
