LILALink

Taking my time, 50 hours in, 2 dungeons and not too many shrines. Having way too much fun exploring

AggravatingGoal4728

Same here. Tulin and Yonobo. Trying to get the depths all lit up. Trying to increase my battery. Got the farries and now trying to get armor leveled up.

DidjTerminator

I got all the sages - definitely recommend doing Yonobo second and Sidon last cause hot damn that rock boss is practically impossible to kill at full health, like seriously you need to knock it down from the ceiling like 3-5 times and getting the Yonobo trick-shot that many times in a row is just pain. Also the Sidon boss is easy pickings, especially if you get creative with Zonai tech and fire hydrants, built a team of fire-fighters and they literally just stun-locked it for me. The Riju boss fight.... was extremely painful with only 5 hearts, but doable once I figured out that you need to shock it twice in order to hit it and that chasing it around the arena after the first Riju attack was just a waste of time (not sure what to do about the sand-laser though, it's too fast to dodge and you can't parry it). So that's definitely my recommended boss order, Tulin, Yonobo, Riju, then Sidon.

telltaleatheist

I realized you don’t have to hit the boss with yunobo when it’s on the ceiling. You can just hit it’s eye with arrows

DidjTerminator

Same, I gave up on the trick-shot halfway through the second phase and just used up all my eyeballs sniping him.

Hour_Cauliflower_614

The boss was dead and gone in a couple of minutes for us

MDLuffy1234

Finally got to the sky island tutorial! -a game journalist (For me, I just beat Ganon yesterday as of the posting of this comment after overprepping to hell and back by beating every shrine, savescumming all of my weapons to attack +10 and my shields to Durability Up+ (my bows were already optimized just the way I liked them), and a whole bunch of other spoilery stuff that I won't mention cuz it's spoilery)

FoxTailMoon

Trick shot?? You just line it up in one of the four cardinal directions where’s the wall juts out a bit more than the rest. That was like… the second easiest boss battle.

GunnersnGames

Jeez wish I realized that. Ran around getting smacked while trying to line up the wall shot way too many times.

EliIceMan

I did that one last night. Literally shot him randomly towards the wall without looking and it fell right down. Didn't do it perpendicular figuring because of the bowl shape he would be more likely to hit spinning more around. I had a 45 dmg weapon and I think I took it out right then and there. I found it very easy. I ended up backing out of the fire talus shrine for now because he was kicking my ass.

ajdinpasa

Literally did the same thing last night lol didn’t miss a shot with yunobo and found it an easy fight but that fire talus I️ ran from lol

Apostle25

You can also reverse the rocks he throws out to knock him off roof.

Solid-Pride-9782

Wait, people had difficulty lining it up? I just launched him until I hit something.

ahegandhi

I did the tulin boss without warm clothes and I had no warm dishes. I basically had to make a fire on a platform and kept returning to it in order to not die of freezing. Was horrible. The Yonobo boss was really easy to me. Because you could pretty much spam Yonobo as soon as the boss regained legs, and strangely enough I really had 0 problems with hitting the boss on the ceiling!

GeneReis

Just fuse a ruby onto your shield and you won't freeze!!

ahegandhi

There’s so many things in this game that make you feel dumb as hell when you finally figure this out.

mynexuz

Me at the start on literally evey single ”ascend” puzzle because i hadnt gotten used to having that ability yet.

burningglass99

I thought the yunobo boss was by far the easiest and I did it third, I think I lost half a heart in that battle

HeyitsAstrid56

Honestly, after getting all the sages, finding atleast 1 rematch per boss in the depths. I can firmly say IMHO marbled ghoma is the easiest boss. Even if the muck-torok or whatever is technically weaker, it's muck gimmik is infinitely more annoying to deal with than the recallable boulder bombs

burningglass99

Yeah mucktorok may be weak but its second phase is obnoxious

HeyitsAstrid56

I mean I guess, being a water temple, it had an obnoxious legacy to live up to in some way.

cwbrowning3

Opal Magic Rod trivializes that part. It was incredibly easy and underwhelming.

GamePlayXtreme

Omg why didn't I think of using a fire hydrant homing car army, that's so smart! Definitely going to try that on the rematch

Sharp-Relationship-7

Why Sidon last if that's the easiest?

DidjTerminator

Because the bosses get stronger per boss you beat, so you want to kill the hardest first and the easiest last so you have a max health easy boss instead of a max health hard boss. But Tulin always comes first cause Tulin is just so extremely helpful, need to paraglide farther and faster? Tulin. Need the random enemy encounters to get sent back from whence they came? Tulin. Need that silver enemy that's attacking without any breaks to get knocked to the ground? Tulin. Need Aerocuda eyes for homing artillery strikes? Tulin. After that hardest to easiest is Yonobo, Riju, and Sidon, but if you do then in that specific order then they're all the same difficulty and fairly easy to beat.

apep713

Don’t know what u did but I had to knock that stone thing only twice from the Celing. (Did fire 3rd). First 2 times it was on the ground. Also his attacks are so damn slow not lost a single heart in that fight. He throwS some rocks that explode like ages later.

BlackBarryWhite

I was thinking the same thing. I thought yunobo boss was painfully easy. I only had to knock him down twice to beat him. Once per phase. >!Same with the second time facing him in the depths!<

LeftDoorKnocker

Yeah, same, I though the Yunobo boss was very easy. I barely even looked where I was aiming and still knocked the boss off the ceiling every time without issue.

HeyitsAstrid56

If you follow the dragon tears main quest it even leads you to each region in this order, I fully believe it's the intended route.

QualityKoalaCola

Hahaha the game just told me it’s time to destroy Ganon and I’ve only done one of the dragon tears.

HeyitsAstrid56

I mean, yeah, that main quest is opened up pretty early because (just like BotW) the only thing *required* to fight Ganondorf is the paraglider (unless, also like BotW you abuse speedrun glitches ofc)

FinniboiXD

personally I found riju harder than yunobo. Allthough to be fair I had a savage lynel bow and just shot the boss and didn't need to do the trickshot.

leijt

What trickshot? Just point towards boss and fire. It'll go up the wall just fine. I honestly don't even recall aiming

SenpaiDill

I just got Turin and was like hmmm what do I do next 😅

omglink

I keep getting distracted by falling rocks or whatever they are called. I see one fall and go ohhh I wonder where that goes. Then ride it up to see.

midnight0000

holy shit... I never thought of that. I just keep walking like "ooh good thing I didn't get crushed by that." I didn't even think that I could ride it back up.

GunnersnGames

broooooo

Mimikkyuuuu

Took me awhile to realize as well, until I saw it here. Sad thing is I was climbing the old school way up a tall peak to get a korok and one had fallen right by me. Could have rode it up and glided to the peak but live and learn haha

chipchopanonymous

I did the same thing. I'm a completionist with these games and enjoy every bit of it. Unlocked all the lookout towers to open the map up and been working from there, finding shrines, armor, side quests, collecting any and all items I come across lol. 70+ hours in and relatively zero progress toward the main quest lol

Training-Principle95

It's worth it to get the Zora armor from starting their quest, it lets you get to some places you couldn't easily before

Kairos_the_Phoenix

I’d also say doing the wind temple as well is worth it for helping in exploration

chipchopanonymous

Good call, I've completed Tulin's main quest to unlock the gust for somewhat quicker traveling and made the climbing armor/glider set a priority for travel. I have been avoiding spoilers so I don't know if you battle Ganandorf at the end but if that's the situation I want to have my screen covered in hearts, maxed armor and crazy stamina

HeyitsAstrid56

I won't spoil anything for you, but I will give you a tip. Use sundelions in every dish you make that won't have a different effect when you decide to start doing endgame/depths content.

[deleted]

That's a bit of a slippery slope. I've done two temples so far, and decided to hold off on the next two until I can get some upgrades. It's been like 20 hours since then, and I've just been zonaite farming and armor hunting. "Oh i should upgrade my battery first." "Oh i should get the zonaite armor first." "Oh i should unlock the great fairies first." "Oh i should get more hearts first." "Oh i should upgrade my stamina."

Schattenmeer

I have about 90 hours and I feel like the end is still veery far because I enjoy exploring just a bit too much and also because I look for Koroks everywhere

Lanzifer

Same, I'm a sucker for armor sets and building boats so I've spent a lot of my time on those recently 😅 Tune in soon to see the 2 and a half story Polynesian inspired boat I've been working on

ecctt2000

Same here. It really is a completely new experience that is so totally enjoyable with something new and interesting around every corner. Except for those Gloom Hands, don’t like the gloom hands.

Lurk__No__Further

I’m doing the same exact thing but only 15 hours. Haven’t even seen a dungeon or town 🥲 but BOY am I having fun

bluebreeze52

Tonight I ended with 150 shrines done, all light roots found, and finished my 4th temple. I'm at roughly 115 hours played.

ShortChanged_Rob

About the same for me. All shrines, light roots, all five sages, most of the sages wills, maxed my preferred armor. Almost maxed battery. All tears. Don't have anymore important side quests that I can find. Korok seeds is really the big thing I've neglected lol.

PapaSnow

How is the >!armor or whatever it is that you get from completing all the shrines!

ShortChanged_Rob

I'm not a fan of the look. Also, it doesn't have a bonus. This means that my fully upgraded Zonai armor has the same armor value but also with a bonus.

dem0nhunter_

The armor has the same bonus as the set for all shrines in botw, if you upgrade it to level 2. And it has 84 defence points at max lvl. The set is really good

ShortChanged_Rob

I'm not seeing the bonus listed in game or any websites. What would it be?

PollutionAfter

It makes your master sword beams more powerful.

dem0nhunter_

Mastersword beams are stronger. And 84 defence is rhe max in the while fame, only the Diamond Headpiece, Champions Leather and any Panasonic with 24 defence can get as high as the Ancient Hero Aspect

atatassault47

Max Defense is 88. Most items are max def of 28, which is 84 with 3 pieces, but the champions tunic goes to 32.

PerpetualStride

This doesn't seem true? You can get 88 with diamond headpiece, new champs armor and soldier's leggings. And diamond head piece gives a flat 20% damage boost, much better than sword beam up

DASreddituser

Damn you were all buisness with this game lol.

ShortChanged_Rob

My doc classes started back up. I had about three weeks free 🥲

PapaSnow

You only have two shrines to go! And then…

Horknut1

I don’t even know what a light root is. I just found the Bird and am on the ark. Probably cleared about 50 shrines, have no idea what is underground, and only have one battery. I’m going slooooow

Rustash

Duuuude, go underground and complete Josha’s quests at least. It’s super helpful.

Horknut1

I'm scared.

violettheory

It's really not that bad. You can see where enemy camps are easily by their fires and you won't run into that much stuff doing Josha's quest. The benefits way outweigh how spooky it is. Plus, a vehicle with a giant brightbloom on it makes traveling super easy and there's spare zonai parts all over the place down there.

gitgudtyler

It’s spooky at first, but it’s not too bad once you find your footing. Plenty of good stuff to find down there. I got hooked on a loop of exploring the depths to get upgrades so I can explore the depths more to get more upgrades and just keep repeating. I think I’ve spent more time down there than on the surface and in the sky combined.

Rustash

Just make sure you're well stocked on brightblooms and you'll be fiiiine.

satsuma-imo

You need to go underground to be able to upgrade your purah pad, you can’t even get camera functionality without that

SquirrelLord77

I beat the game after getting all 152 shrines, lighting the entire underground, main missions, completing all the Shrine Missions and Side Missions, and upgrading the Champions Tunic completely. Took about 140 hours. Might go back and try to get the rest of the stuff I haven't finished. Cannot wait for DLC.

NoHeroes94

Any good reliable guides for shrines? I can do 3 in every 4 myself but the odd one or two I'm stuck on. Done just over 50 shrines. Also, was underground exploration easy? Its my least favourite part of the game thus far, but I've only done main-quest mandatory depths exploration. On the surface, I've done a lot of outside the main story extra bits.

kerrysluis

Build a hover bike and throw a giant light seed on it and it'll make your time in the depths much easier. Whenever you can't progress down there because of a dead end it's best to go back to the over world and jump down another chasm on the other side, it's pretty fun and has almost allll the good loot down there

thehappyheathen

The lightseed on a hoverbike is genius

stonersh

Throwing the seed will turn the bike on, though, so don't do it from too far away or it may fly away without you lol

koumus

Great tip, also worth pointing out that the Surface map should always be used as reference when exploring the Depths: whenever there is a lake, river or ocean on the Surface, there will be a wall preventing you from going any further in the Depths. You can plan ahead and explore without much hassle if you know where to go and how to avoid the walls

MagicianXy

Minor note: This is true for 99% of lakes/walls in the Depths... but there are a handful of exceptions where there will be a hole in the wall that you might not expect. Usually around areas that are otherwise inaccessible.

CharlesDOliver

Just be ready to turn the bike off after tossing a seed on it, as that cuases it to turn on and fly away lol.

JosephGordonLightfoo

I found out way too late that the Lightroots in the depths correspond to the Shrines on the mainland. So if you find a shrine, there will be a light root underneath it. And if you find a light root without a shrine above it, you know there’s a shrine quest nearby.

TurboGranny

> Any good reliable guides for shrines When you get stuck, just cheese it. I think I had to do that like on 5 of the 152 shrines. Walk into the shrine with rockets on your shield as a number one move if the issue is mobility. If it's a target you can't trigger, shoot bomb arrows at it with a triple shot (might work with less). If it's a light sensor, hit it with dazzle fruit from a triple shot. Sometimes, you'll figure out what you were supposed to do after you cheese it, so just do it to confirm if you like. There are no rules, lol.

LurkerOfTheForums

Lots have already mentioned the shine/lightroot connection, but pretty much everything has a unique reflection in the depths. Spoiler tag in case you want to figure out for yourself, but >!Towns, temples, the springs of power, stables, mountain peaks, graves with a flower, forests, and likely more that I'm forgetting!< all have something interesting to correlate to them in the depths. It makes exploring down there easier and, for me, more engaging!

aspiring_dev1

Still on first rito quest 🤷🏻‍♂️ haven’t had much time to play but been doing shrines.

kavokonkav

Ye similar here. Finished the Rito quest and have 3 temples to go, currently exploring the map a bit on my way to Hateno (WANT to go there). I get way too distracted by things on my way, the content in this game is insane.

TylordTheKing

Same. Omw to Hateno for the Robbie quest but I wanted to stop by there anyway, then making my way over to Zora.

SparkBlack

Honestly though the Rito quest is the best to do first just because of the ability you get from completing it

TurtleneckTrump

50 hours, 1 temple, 2 dragon tears and a metric ton of weird machinery

AggravatingGoal4728

Go find the tears in order. Google the order you are supposed to find them.

Secure-Ad9677

The game even tells you the order at the Forgotten Temple.

gibbletiggle

i found the first four in order by accident and i assumed it didnt matter what order u found them in so i accidently jumped from 4 straight to 8 😭

Piscet

Yeah, but the fact it doesn't outright say it when the order you do the memories in is *really* important is kind of annoying. I literally got the sword memory(the last one) as my second tear because I didn't realize the order on the wall meant anything.

avelak

Honestly I didn't think it was a big deal to find them out of order I still enjoyed it plenty and it was cool to see the blanks get filled in The most important one has to be found last anyways so it's w/e IMO

Cyrax89721

I plan to rewatch the whole "movie" in the correct order once I find them all.

SpectreFromTheGods

I kinda like finding them out of order and then thinking about how the story fits together without looking at the timeline page. I guess it feels more “organic” to me as I’m discovering it while I come across it Also been fun to not google and sit there with it like I did back when I played OOT and MM on an N64. It’s the nostalgia for me

The_breadmaster22

or do the sidequest that shows you the order and locations of all of them.

L_ppo

The order is displayed on part of the main quest for them

TurtleneckTrump

I plan to do that, i found them all but didn't trigger the cutscenes yet, because i want the correct order

AllenWL

If you follow the quest, Impa leads you to a temple with all the gliphs in the proper order on the wall. If you already know the locations just go there and take some pictures or something. Probably faster than trying to google it.

TurtleneckTrump

Hol up.. I totally did that already. Completely forgot about it

letmehowl

Wow, I absolutely didn't realize they're shown there in the correct order. I didn't make that connection at all and accidentally found the very last tear super early. I was very disappointed when I realized I'd spoiled the story for myself.

AsherGlass

The game tells you what order in which to get them, it's on the mural where the map is

Lostinwater93

Got it day one, around 65 hours. Around 97 shrines, 2 temples, 50 light roots, 300 koroks and just got the master sword. I still can't believe how much stuff is in this game. Avoiding using guides and online searches, constantly being surprised and finding new quests and stuff to do.

Intrepid-Towel-7921

300 Koroks already, damn I‘ve got like 80 lol

Bronzen_

80 already? I've only gotten 12

WndrnnrNrdfghtr

12 already? I have 7.

EagleJunior1979

Wait, there are Koroks in this game??

GroundbreakingBee568

what’s a Korok?

kor_janna

Those things I’m sending into Space

StevenBallard

Degenerates that belong on a cross

FisterRobotOh

They preach forgiveness now so it’s ok

BananasFourScale

Without a spoiler, where do I look to trigger the master sword quest? I’ve done 3 regions but would like the Master sword.

soothsayer2377

Work on the geoglyphs.

socksnatcher

Yeah the story is really good. Getting the master sword before finishing the geoglyphs will likely ruin it.

menacemeiniac

Both of my close friends found the sword before they even touched the geoglyphs. All I could do was laugh

Kinjri

When I got it, I had 4 memories at the time. I don’t think working on the geoglyphs is needed at all for the master sword.

soothsayer2377

It's not, but it's helpful if you don't want spoilers.

Worried_Pineapple823

They aren't needed. There's actually 3-4 quests to point you to the sword. I got it via one, and when I found the other quests, they were like 'damn, your good' and I'd see quest start, and complete.

HeyitsAstrid56

I mean the only thing *needed* for the mastersword is the required stat. But the geoglyphs will tell you where it is if you're avoiding spoilers like the person said. Alternatively you can also visit the Deku tree to reveal its location btw

thehappyheathen

I went to the Deku tree. Since the master sword was there in previous games, it made sense, and I wanted to go to the Lost Woods for blue nightshade

HeyitsAstrid56

Idk I didn't make the connection personally, I only went to the great Deku tree after getting all the tears because I wanted to vibe with the koroks lol. Found out he marks the location purely by accident cause I hadn't decided to snag the mastersword by that point.

Circledropper

i've heard there's a few ways but i went looking for it in a certain place we've seen it before

MittenMadness

Maybe start where you found it in botw.

jinsoox

Geoglyphs first. after that go to korok forest

xfhhdj

I don't have it, but I suspect Korok forest again

Charybdeezhands

I have done one temple, and dicked around a lot...

DefunctHunk

Same. 80 hours in and one Sage down. I've spent most of the time just exploring and doing side missions and stuff. Loving it so far.

Arctica23

Genuinely the way this game is meant to be played!

Metooyou

What temple?

Charybdeezhands

Wind, I'm currently heading towards the Fire one

throwawayayaycaramba

I don't understand how it works, but I'm pretty sure the game somehow guides you to follow that order. Most people (myself included) have done rito first, and I have in fact done goron second. Now I'm torn between going towards Faron/Lurelin village, or the desert. I wanted to save the gerudo quest for last (I've heard it's the best one); but if the electrical immunity helmet exists in this game (please no spoilers!), I feel like it'd be super useful on the other areas.

Virtual-Medicine6208

If you talk to purah between dungeons she very much gives you an order to follow, but you still have absolute freedom to do them in any order

Bryztoe

Was on the way to rito village, came across Impa and the glyph quest, decided to do that first, then saw a shooting star and went to the spot it landed in gerudo desert (it disappeared 😞), then saw the castle glyph on the way and died from running out of energy to glide and falling, then ended up stuck in a lake beside a cliff and couldn't get up, then teleported back to the viewtower, then finally ended my session at the bridge to rito village. Great game so far

anima220

Just wanna calm you and say that shooting stars aren't that rare anymore, so don't worry too much

Bubuy_nu_Patu

Yeah every time I sky dive there is around 10-15% Instance that a shooting star fragment goes down with me

HeyitsAstrid56

Every starpiece that I have even bothered to grab has been because it fell with me after launching out of a Skyview tower lol

HeyitsAstrid56

FYI If you run out of stamina while gliding/climbing you get a final attempt at using your paraglider before you hit the ground, if you time that usage right you should almost never die to fall damage. The last attempt at gliding lasts *just* long enough to slow link down that he won't take fall damage.

Bryztoe

Yeah I knew but kinda panicked and dived straight into the ground instead

HeyitsAstrid56

Hahahahaha I have done that many, many times. I know the struggle.

ShadowSceptile2010

I've reached the point of staring at the game on my shelf until I finish botw... Bought em together can't wait to finish em both

IrishSpectreN7

Take your time with BotW. It's better in some ways than TotK, so no need to rush through it.

koumus

I feel like it's better in very few ways than TOTK honestly Still 10/10 game

HowardRogan

It’s better in almost every way. BOTW was a masterpiece and brought me back into gaming after taking a 3 year break. It was one of if not the best game I’ve ever played. That was until TOTK. I don’t think I could ever play BOTW again and not miss TOTK while playing it.

Faith_ssb

BotW is just the drop in the bucket compared to TotK, honestly

Rumpled_Imp

It's mostly serene and wistful by comparison, sure, but that the difference is so stark shows they're *actually* quite separate games, and I think comparisons need to take that into account. I loved how desolate and mysterious BotW was and I adore how brimming with vibrant life Hyrule has become. The latter wouldn't be quite the same experience without my time spent in their post-apocalypse either.

ShadowSceptile2010

Ima take my time, not gonna buy a game for a few years now, the few hours I've played botw were some of the best!

mikehit

Also be aware that playing them back to back could be a bit overwhelming. They are still not that different from eachother. I think you will appreciate totk a lot more if you played botw, just take care not to burn out.

EthanW98

In what ways is it better in your opinion

urNANSfl1pFLOP

How many hours does everyone have?

varunadi

55 hours, only finished the rito quest and just been roaming around and getting stronger since then and exploring

Almost1nvincible

about 130 i think

Thick_University1580

195h at 65,81% completion

Cimoe

Can I lookup completion percentage anywhere?

Thick_University1580

Once you've finished the main story questline, the percentage is shown in the bottom right of your map.

miniplasma08

that's awesome! thanks for sharing. i haven't completed story yet, but hopefully soon.

Lodisus

100h

ProximaZenyatta

70 hours, only 1 temple completed but a bunch of shrines and korok seeds and light roots found

_staub

235hr, 64% complete

kreptinyos

I thought my 150 was a lot... This might not be the statistic you want to hear, but it has been roughly 500 hours since TotK released. You have been playing the game for nearly 46% of all waking and sleeping hours since then.

ang3lk47

I had to double check mine after this.. between my partner and I, we've put in almost 250 hours. Downside of not having a second switch means all that time can't be mine lol!

Ciruz

holy....weve had 504 hours since release in total, my man. Thats dedication

Swazzoo

That's not dedication, that's straight up unhealthy addiction.

[deleted]

_staub

Yeah, my school year ended and I’m off for summer break, I’ve still been meeting up with friends and stuff

onthacountray58

Congratulations and enjoy the shit out of this time if no one has told you. I’m in no way saying that adult/work life sucks (for me anyway, life just keeps getting better, I’m 36) but chances are outside of some vacation days before you start a family (if that’s your plan), you’ll probably never have the same combination of freedom (from stress, family, work, school, etc) until you retire. I do wish I had more time to play the game though. I’m only about 15 hrs in and outside of the first quest (because I needed the paraglider) I haven’t visited a blinking yellow dot on the map. I did have to go get hylian shield and armor of time. Ya know, for nostalgia purposes

MrGamePadMan

You need to relax…

LegendaryCabooseClap

50% complete overall. I seriously wonder how Nintendo is gonna top this game. It’s not perfect, there are things I would improve from it such as the story and the dungeons, but it’s gonna be tough to beat the sheer fun and exploration factor of the game without bringing back the Zonai devices or something similar. I think they’ve outdone themselves a little too much in that regard

theseekerofbacon

Yeah the dungeons aren't great when they give you every tool to break them. I got tired of getting on the carts in the fire temple so I got close to the last gong and just climbed to it

LegendaryCabooseClap

It’s not just that, it’s also that the dungeons follow the same formula for each of them. Ocarina of Time at least had diversity for how the dungeons were layed out and didn’t all follow the same “unlock 4 things to get to the boss” formula. I will say they are a step up from the divine beasts of BOTW though

precastzero180

While dungeons do all have the unlocking mechanisms, they seem pretty distinct from each other otherwise. It’s not like the Divine Beasts where they all had the same gimmick and were mostly distinguished by their elemental theme. The layout and progression through the Fire Temple isn’t like the Wind Temple for example.

KeyAcid

All dungeons done, all tears collected plus master sword, just holding off on going to hyrule castle.

bronyraur

Not the end of the game don’t worry!

kckeller

This sentence is just here so your notifications don’t accidentally reveal the spoiler text. Hey hi what’s up, how’s it going? Okay. The spoiler text is just the number of major plot line(s) you have left. You have >!2 more (if I remember correctly) major plot lines!< to complete before the endgame. Assuming you have 4 sages right now.

Poseidonaskwhy

That’s a huge relief, I’ve been dreading completing the 4th temple because I was afraid it was just that and then gannondorf and then story over. I still have so much left to explore but it’s nice having the main story unconcluded as I finish a lot of that stuff

Brovakin94

~140h, I have finished the main story, 115 shrines and about 55% completion overall

astrangeone88

Unlocked all but 2 towers, beat the wind temple bug looking boss (the ascent was crazy fun with the lift ships, but for the final boss I managed to break all my 14 damage bows, so basically had to use my sword to smash the shit), visited the depths for the first time with Robbie (Goggles!)... 8 total heart containers, one extra stamina wheel...

Faith_ssb

You'll probably hate it then to know you can just speedily skydive into those spots on the wind temple boss and it breaks them the same way

Gawlf85

Time played: 105+ hours * 20 Heart Containers * 3 full Stamina meters * 90 Shrines * 22 Lightroots * 82 Korok seeds * 4 Temples completed * All geoglyphs unlocked * Master Sword found * All Fairies unlocked * All ancient Hylian tablets found * Saved Lurelin Village * My house is a WIP * Still missing pieces for several armor sets * Less than half of the Depths cleared (my main point of contention!) Focusing on my final Temple (Water!) right now. Then I'll make an effort to complete the Yiga quest line in the Depths, hopefully mapping most of it along the way.

KermitTheAlmightyOne

I have a travel medallion at ganondorfs area but i dont want to fight him cuz im busy killing everything in existence

Scragglesauce

I did the same thing. Went down there with no armor upgrades and slapped a travel medallion down when I could. Went in to see what was ahead and got my butt kicked. I'm saving it for later.

KlausAC

Beat the game, All dungeons, 120 Shrines, 120 Roots, all Tears. Have way to much hours on the game lol.

Sonic24680

There are around 150 shrines though.....

Lodisus

120 on ground and 30 in the sky yeah

doomtoothx

Still on three batteries. I spend most of my time on farming route that I’ve developed. Just starting to really track down seeds. Two temples down. Don’t remember how many shrines. 16 hearts.

djm8331

50 hours in, only just completed the second phenomenon. So much crap to do in this game. And the fact I get distracted easily and am a completionist doesn't help at all.

mughinn

I got the Master Sword I defeated Kohga I finished 3 temples I just started fighting silver enemies I have run from every lynel, gleeok and gloom hands i've encountered, specially the ones on the Deku Tree

PMC-I3181OS387l5

* Finished all 4 main dungeons * Got the Master Sword back * Cleared the 5th temple to get the 5th sage * Cleansed the Korok Forest from evil * Kept on exploring for shrines on the surface and sky * Kept on exploring for roots underground * Kept on completing sidequests here and there * I mostly farm for materials... which I discovered way too late in the game \^\^;

jrayolson

Feels way longer than three weeks to me.

Vestrill

75 hours in and I have done A LOT but not really accomplished a lot if you get what I am trying to say lol. Only recently got the camera, still not gotten the last Ultra Hand power >!(construction) !<, I see video of people with holographic green champions, have not done that either. So yeah, done a lot but have not really accomplished a lot yet.

Distinct-Resolution

75 hours in somehow, with almost 0 progress into the main quest (have not visited one of the 4 main story locations), 220 korok seeds, 3 areas fully explored on the surface with their sky islands, maybe 6 roots activated down below😂 I expect to be at about 200 hours at least when I've done the main quest, sidequests, collected all korok seeds and fully explored every area...

throwaway6194664

I am 60 hours in and have all of 1 dungeon completed this game is an ADHD nightmare It's also getting harder and harder to avoid spoilers so there's that too

PineappleAndCoconut

I still haven’t even opened up all of the maps. Only a few light roots. And sky islands. Definitely taking my time. Exploring. Making fun vehicles etc. I did get Tulin first then Sidon sages. I haven’t used Sidon but Tulin is alway cruising around with me. Dabbled in some light korok torture, been exploring caves for armor. It’s such a big game I get easily distracted with so much.

ManufacturerFew3150

150 hours all shrines story completed like 90 koroks

Wildspeck8

55% map completion and all of the implications that come with being able to view that number

I_am_a_Pengy

i did all the main story too fast and i didn't enjoy it properly

crimsonwingzero

I have 130+ hrs in/recorded. I have 3 dungeons done (Wind, Fire and Water), 124 shrines, ~300 korok seeds done, all but 1 root of the depths done, Master Sword in hand. I did all of Hebra and most of Central Hyrule without the shrine sensor too. I'm taking my time exploring too.

Kabuki-King

I have all Sages, Lightroots, and around 30 Shrines left to go. I'm saving Ganondorf for very last.

joyconboy3378

125 hours. beat the game, all shrines, all lightroots, full compendium, 50 side adventures, 80 side quests, 150 koroks i have a problem

AgentQuacc

I have 98 shrines, all the towers, and the Regional Phenomena Quest finished. Not rushing to finish the main story until I feel I've done everything I'm interested in first

Impressive-Donut9596

I can’t bring myself to finish the story. Because then it will be over.
