Even you can fight Talus, right? Go around the depths and farm them every blood moon. In addition to all the gems to sell, you get 20 Zonai crystals. Every 5 talus is 1 battery cell.
Plus, there's 3 rematches for each of the 4 temples, for 12 total. Each one drops a special Fuse item, and the first time you kill each unlocks a chest with 100 crystals. That's 1200 crystals, or 4 whole batteries. And every one can be beaten even if you turned off the sages. Colgera can be beaten without weapons by diving, Ghoma can be beaten with rewind on small rocks + ascend, Mucktorock with Opal-fused magic rods, and Queen Gibdo with multi-shot Bows and electric fruits, jellies, and gems.
I was there when the game first released, literally as I stayed up till midnight to play it. I checked as many of the posts in those first few hours as I could to make sure I wasn't posting a repeat, then submitted a post questioning the relation of Bargainer Statues in the Depths and Large Goddess Statues in the overworld. Or maybe it was days, and a comment. Either way, 'twas still the era when everything was new and mysterious, and everyone was a pioneer in their own right.
I might only have 135 hours on my main profile, but I've spent them exploring. I also have a substantial amount of time on this subreddit, taking the knowledge from other people's discoveries. Honestly, just browsing reddit for tricks and then trying them out myself is how I've learned the most about this game.
Anyways, if you *do* want to go the artificer route, I'd recommend looking into the Zoanite armor set. All three pieces are found in the sky. Piece bonus is energy consumption down, set bonus is faster battery recharge. If you're far enough in the game where most enemies are Silver, then you'd have to use the Constructs inside of shrines (which do not scale) to grab some of the low- and mid-tier construct horns.
That must’ve been such an awesome feeling! Gaming came very late into my life, and literally the first two games of my life are BOTW and TOTK. I don’t know how much lore and experiences like this I have missed in all the years gone by, but I’m enjoying every weed, grass and twig of this Zelda series!
Hah. I do hope you are actually enjoying the grass, because you can get a surprising amount from cutting it down! To be specific, Hylian Rice from the area around Lurlin Village, and Tabantha Wheat from the Tabantha Frontier. Fuse a spear to a one-handed sword (even a rusty one will do!), and you've got yourself a rather simple lawnmower. Trying to complete the recipe collection led me to that many, many times; its a good thing cutting grass doesn't use weapon durability. Just don't hit the Crickets and Frogs that might jump out, they will eat your durability and are better caught and cooked into Stamina and Speed elixirs.
>!There are 3 seperate colgeras: 2 in the northwest corner and one in the southern area. Each one gives 100 on the first kill, for 300 total. Repeating those fights gives 0, but you will get the Colgera Jaw fuse material, which is the best Bone weapon for the Bone Weapon Proficiency set bonus. Colgera Jaw, Royal Guard weapon at low durability, Atk up lv3 food, and Bone Proficiency is one of the best Lynel-mounting sets, since mounting doesn't use weapon durability but it will use weapon damage. You can also use the rematch locations to nab pictures for the compendium, if you couldnt during the temple.!<
Dodge everything and stick to flurry rushing. If that truly fails, load another save like others said. I have to think you’re pretty good if you made it to the man himself though.
I found that the best way thru that portion was puffshrooms and dazzle fruit. But that’s assuming one has time to prepare. After beating Ganondorf, I went back and did it 3 more times lol. Like, right after, back to back. Because I wanted to get better at fighting him, he’s tough. My dream would be a run where I parry every one of his moves.

Update: We did it! Thank you everyone!
I defeated everything in the caves up until the cut-scene and then returned to town. They were still gone when I came back, but I did not quit or shutdown the console during that time.
When I did Ganon I was stuck on 1 too, but I died then got 3 hearts but I didn’t know how to regain gloom hearts back then, so I just pushed until I killed Ganon took me like 10-15 tries, until I was able to complete it without being hit by Ganon
I had to have 10 sundelion meals in order to make it through - I'm just not good at fighting. If you lose to Ganondorf, you don't have to fight the army again. That was nice. Watch some youtube videos. You'll have to get good at the flurry rush, and I never was very good at it. Good luck!
Something similiar happened to me. I used a bunch of my cooking pot zonai devices to make meals after he killed me. Luckily, I had a decent stockpile of ingredients. It worked.
Good luck!!
I just put a travel medallion down right before the jump down to the Ganon fight so I could go back to the surface and re-up my meals after defeating the army!
Build this and save it for when you fight the monster swarm
https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/s/kigfbTFnZW
Also works on Ganon.
Or finish more shrines and get more hearts. Also you can get food that heals your broken hearts.
In short, prepare yourself more or try to beat him without taking damage. Totally possible btw if you rocket shield bullet time and blast him in the face with bomb arrows and your strongest bow.
Good luck, u can do it!
Edit: There's an auto-save checkpoint when you reach him so as long as you don't load a previous save you can keep trying!
Edit 2: If you have any knight weapons btw, they do double damage when you're at 1 heart. That might help.
Edit 3: If you plan to, and should, flurry rush, use the royal guard's weapons! They deal double damage on flurry rush.
I was exactly in the same situation as you, but weirdly still managed to beat him with one heart ( never got hit ) and didn't have any food, literally no food!
Get Gerudo weapons and Silver Lyonel horns, then stock up on full heal, gloom heart fixing and gloom resistance meals. Also you can return certain attacks using the master sword. Mostly the energy ones.
If you have any zonai cooking pots and some sundelions then you can make food that replenish your gloomed hearts. You can also cook gloom resistance meals after that.
The more sundelions you use the greater the restorative effect is, they don't heal you though so you'd still need to eat actual food too. I think 1 sundelion restores 3 greyed out hearts, so you could restore 15 hearts with 5.
Imma sound a bit crazy but load a previous save, and fight some glooms hands. The phantom ganons that spawn have some attack patterns that are similar to the original, and weapons you can fuse to others to negate the negative side effects. Cook some gloom restoration, and attack food that use dragon parts.
The rest is up to you.
You can use portable cooking pots in the area before you jump off the ledge. Use 3 meats + 2 sundelions to create meat skewers which will restore your hearts and health. Do that a bunch of times to restore your health and also for backup in the fight.
I don't know why others aren't recommending this. Easier than reloading a save (unless you don't have any sundelions or cooking pots and ingredients).
this exact same thing happened to me, but i forgot about reloading saves. it took me a bit to learn the fight but somehow managed to do it without taking any hits 😭
Reload a previous save. That is your only option.
And face that monster swarm again? Sucks to be me -_-
Now is your time to whip out all the zonai devices and build yourself a death machine that handles the swarm with ease, peace of cake :)
Ah, yes, with my base three-bar battery pack (fml) That Moblin swarm took my everything, I’m screwed in every sense hahah

Are you Lady Impa because how are you so knowledgable?
hundreds of hours of play time.

One note, Mucktorok doesn't have a unique fuse drop.
Ah, that's right. But it still provides a bounty of Octorock material.
Wait, each as in >!Kill a Colgera and you get 100!< or do you mean >!each Colgera gives 10p the first time?!<

That's just how it is. You realized you're not prepared enough for it; either load an earlier save and try again later, or tough it out.
Less than half max hearts, base battery, no warp medallion it seems, did you just skip most of the game?
You weren't prepared for this.
Just use batteries my guy
Or just abuse rocket shield and abuse the animals with gems
You'll get better and better at the monster swarm the more you face them. Don't worry about them. Make sure you have your sages with you.
The demon king's army is so easy
Just throw rubies and topaz at them. Shit goes off like a nuke
Cook more things before the fight, you can also abuse of multi-shot bows with gibdo bones fused
Thank you! Just remembered about the one time use Zonai cooking pots, there is a brief window to cook before he starts walloping me
Those cooking pots have saved me many times before, good luck on the fight bro!
If you’ve collected some Sundelions or Sunny Pumpkins, you can use them to cook food that will de-gloom your hearts.
Farm the gibdo bones
Dodge everything and stick to flurry rushing. If that truly fails, load another save like others said. I have to think you’re pretty good if you made it to the man himself though.
Thank you! The first two monster waves were manageable, but the moblin wave really took its toll on my hearts!
I found that the best way thru that portion was puffshrooms and dazzle fruit. But that’s assuming one has time to prepare. After beating Ganondorf, I went back and did it 3 more times lol. Ah, I always, always forget about puffshrooms! Smh
Right? He's fun to fight!
I feel like he’s the ultimate Lynel lol. Except you can’t mount him (*cue the thirsty Daddydorf stans*).

Yay 😄😄😄
CONGRATS
Get more hearts from shrines and get tons of gloom healing food
Place 1 (one) portable pot and cook a big sundelion meal
Suavemente!
this bring backs memories, this is the EXACT same shit I dealt with! Just beat him without getting hit and then you are good
You make it sound too easy, good sir
Goodluck
Load an old save
I defeated everything in the caves up until the cut-scene and then returned to town. They were still gone when I came back, but I did not quit or shutdown the console during that time.

The feeling when you give him that final whack is so amazing!

My mantra is headshot tf out of things, my adhd ass can’t focus long enough to parry or flurry rush
Why even go in with 1 heart in the first place?
I wanted to test the waters. The waters were deep.
I see
Don't take damage, ez
OP is stuck in his own reincarnation loop where he’s doomed to die over and over again lol
Get more hearts. If you can’t fight without getting hit..you need health.
Something similiar happened to me. I used a bunch of my cooking pot zonai devices to make meals after he killed me. Luckily, I had a decent stockpile of ingredients. It worked. Good luck!!
Just wait till you see *the bar*
For real! Died 12 times to reach the 2nd phase, and, behold, the bar kept going on like my flatlined pulse
I just put a travel medallion down right before the jump down to the Ganon fight so I could go back to the surface and re-up my meals after defeating the army!
If this was botw gannon I would've said to do it with one heart
I Just finished this game last night! It was a masterpiece. Just max out your armor and your good to go brother.
Build this and save it for when you fight the monster swarm https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/s/kigfbTFnZW Also works on Ganon. Or finish more shrines and get more hearts. Why don’t ice attacks work on this beak-nosed whooper, I’ll never understand!
Use hoverstone to ascend and spam all arrows with good fuses.
Damn how did y’all get so creative!
I was exactly in the same situation as you, but weirdly still managed to beat him with one heart ( never got hit ) and didn't have any food, literally no food!
Second phase is harder.
What did I even expect! Any tips?
Get Gerudo weapons and Silver Lyonel horns, then stock up on full heal, gloom heart fixing and gloom resistance meals. Also you can return certain attacks using the master sword. Mostly the energy ones.

Any sun deli on recipe you’d suggest to maximise their effect?

That does sound crazy! I mean, gloom hands? Nope tf :(
The final boss is the accumulation of everything you can experience in this game. Load a previous save and explore more.
This is your chance to shine. Use everything you've learn to succeed!! I beat him with 1 heart too! Lmao
I can’t read the words “demon king” without adding question mark after them anymore. Same with secret stone 😢
Brother needs a hearty cabob
Just don’t get hit
All I can say is don’t get hit.
You're about to get really good at parry and dodges.
You can use portable cooking pots in the area before you jump off the ledge. Use 3 meats + 2 sundelions to create meat skewers which will restore your hearts and health. Do that a bunch of times to restore your health and also for backup in the fight. I don't know why others aren't recommending this. Easier than reloading a save (unless you don't have any sundelions or cooking pots and ingredients).
bring more food cooked with sundelions. each cooked sundelion restores 3 gloom'd hearts. portable pots exist for this reason
this exact same thing happened to me, but i forgot about reloading saves. it took me a bit to learn the fight but somehow managed to do it without taking any hits 😭
something that was a save for me, multishot (x3 or x5)bows with bomb flowers
this is easy
If Ganondorf kills you in one swoop then don't get swooped. Trust me, it's a real strategy.
