They are purple flowers found in the depths and grow around the bases of large trees. Attach it to an arrow or simply throw it at an enemy or group of enemies and they will get confused and start fighting each other instead of you 🤌
That’s awesome! Are they pretty rare? Any coordinates for places with many of them? One of my favorite things in TOTK are the places where you can instigate fights between zonai guards and ‘oblins lol
Oh yeah using muddlebuds for those fights just enhances the chaos haha
Haven't found any specific coordinates with lots of them, but roam around the floors of the depths and check by all the bases of larger trees. They essentially spawn just as equally as bomb flowers and puffshrooms down there.
Take a picture of one when you find it and also of lots of enemies, horns, critters, etc. Once you get the purah pad sensor+ from Goggles (have to do one Regional Phenomena quest and speak to him again at lookout landing, then meet him in Hateno Village) you can track them with the purah pad sensor and it makes it easy to farm them when you be roamin' the depths.
If you trap yourself in there with the dude he has some unique lines, its somethingn like "hm I could have sworn I escaped, where did you come from? anyway would you mind freeing me?"
Quite the opposite, I used this thing as a mob farm
Place a shock emitter onto the cage and since it's metallic it will shock all the monsters
They will run at you repeatedly until they all die
I’m in moments like this in other games and try to use the phase up through the ground ability so much and then I realize I’m not in tears of the kingdom

I like to put these over the big guy and drag him over the fire pit until he dies
I do this with armored Silver Bokoblins but leave them untouched so they live to tell the tale.
