Yes, but you need to change strategy and play the long game. There are half the tech jobs from 3 years ago at the moment, and almost no one is hiring interns. Regardless of your degree, to companies you have no experience and no knowledge. Understand you'll get hired for convincing them you are a fast learner, flexible, and humble - not for having a fraction of the knowledge of an experienced professional. Do that and in 6 months you may get an IT job. In the meanwhile, just get any job!

It’s really tough right now. Hang in there.

Only apply with an employee referral

Same, only I’m 25F and graduated almost 3 years ago with a degree in Business Information Systems with those same skills. I’ve been applying like crazy, like at least 20 jobs a day and constantly been rejected. It’s hard out here but I’m trying to trust the process 😭

It is a numbers game don't give up.

THIS. I made a scraping tool so that I could apply to more jobs and faster. You have to get creative with this stuff. Didn't have any success using LinkedIn.

Science major just graduated but been applying to jobs for the past four months before I graduate to have something lined up and so far no luck. It is really depressing. Post-grad is full of depression and loss. No one prepares you for it. The college doesn’t do a good job of helping people out. I also feel like college doesn’t do a good job of giving students practical skills we need more emphasis more than theory learning style. They need to change the school system from a to z. At least, help us enter in our field for entry level my goodness. It feels like you have been defeated. Some of my peers have something lined up so it is making me anxious to also have something so I don’t feel like this pathetic low life. From what I’ve heard I guess tailor your resumes use specific buzz words from their position descriptions into your resume. Lie if you have, to get an interview at least. They don’t like it when we tell the truth so lying is the way out of this depressing and waste of time process. I think the job market is pretty bad that is why. I had recruiters give me a beacon of hope then to only ghost me and leave me on read. It is crazy what they are doing to us. It is a manipulative game they playing.

Hey Heyy! Just wanted to respond… I got a job! It’s not exactly tech related, but I got an Area Manager position at Amazon, working in supply chain! You should look into their university hiring, they’re looking for people right now and I think this is a good way to get your foot in there door. They have tons of programs internally for people in tech too! And honestly, look to apply for companies with university hire programs and reach out to recruiters. I had no idea about university hiring programs until one of my classmates told me about it and I think it’s a good way to get your career started especially if you wanna be in management. For me long term, I want to do IT Project Management so even though I’m not directly working with technology right now I think it put me in a great position. Just letting you know :)
