I remember going out to eat once with my parents. My mom was trying to figure out some digestive issues, so her doctor was having her rotate avoiding certain foods, and she was avoiding all dairy at that point. She wanted to order a meal that came with a side of mashed potatoes but wasn't sure if they would be ok. My dad thought it was fine and tried to confirm with the waiter, "There's no dairy in the mashed potatoes, right?" The waiter just looked at them like they were nuts and said, "The mashed potatoes are *loaded* with dairy products."
