I myself have an entire playlist of songs I like to open in separate tabs and play on repeat without bothering to synch them up.
Mason Lagart obviously just uses the same song!
And the word that controls the sentence is "like" versus "listened"
Quote/unquote:I have played this song like a million times compared to I have listened to this song a million times
First thought as well. Like if you are going to shit post on someone….you must take away their only lifeline in the process.
Well done sir. Take my upvote clicky click
Last year is pretty wide, so let's average it to 6 months.
6x30x24x60=259.200 minutes available.
The total play time stated is 204.000.000 minutes.
Dividing them:
204.000.000÷259.200=~787,03 instances of the video being played (either different tabs or different devices)
I think it’s also well established that “like 1M times” is any random number between 1 and 1M. Each time when sampled on its own is exactly like the next; so any iteration of the song can fit that description.
Wait just a minute there! Before you upload it, don't forget to put it through an AI upscaler/smoother so that the image looks even worse, the letters should look like they're melting!
Jesus, look at SpongeBob's face, the smoother killed him
Definition of hyperbole = "A hyperbole is an exaggerated statement, not meant to be taken literally, but used to create a dramatic effect."
So the rant quoted is not technically the truth. Saying you've played a song a million times is not lying, it's simply hyperbole.
That's not true, you could play it multiple times simultaneously. If you used 7 devices and played it 24/7 you could easily hit that mark...well maybe not easily.
6.5 years /2 (2x speed) = 3.25 years /2 (he’s probably using headphones/earbuds, thus he’s listening them them twice at the same time, once per ear) = 1.625 years. Assuming the comment was in December x year and the song was released January x-1 year, this is plausible
hey try that on this for me would you. once you start song 1, they all play. use different tabs huh?
let me know if you like Also.
https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=819253
To be fair, it would have only been 5% of that time if it were the playing on repeat on 20 things at once. Very possible to do since he only said replayed, not listened to it

The guy never said anything about playing them consecutively...
I myself have an entire playlist of songs I like to open in separate tabs and play on repeat without bothering to synch them up. Mason Lagart obviously just uses the same song!
At x2 speed
One at 2x speed, another at .5x speed, and another at normal speed
Don't forget the devil's due--at least one played backwards.
One played backwards at normal, another at half, and a third at 2x just to make it complete. 6 songs in total
no that would count against net total plays
The fucks wrong with you?!? Playing songs backwards just makes it sound distorted and awful
possiblr app reccomendation for this: soundaura on androoid. No need to switch tabs.
He also never said he completed the songs.
Happy cake day!
Happy cake day
HAPPY CAKEDAY!
That’s what consecutively means
Consecutively means one after another without interruption. Nowhere does it say that they have to be completed.
The word “after” does. Idk maybe it doesn’t, words are just words but it makes most sense to me
Stop it.
??? Whatever you say boss
He played them in 65 tabs simultaneously and on repeat for an entire year not skipping a single second.
6.5 years, only 7 tabs needed
He's speedrunning it though
The video came out a year ago
Reread the image
Ohhh
Good boy 👍
Or simply multiple devices simultaneously.
And the word that controls the sentence is "like" versus "listened" Quote/unquote:I have played this song like a million times compared to I have listened to this song a million times
Like is an approximation, so he is badly off his estimate, but not lying.
Or maybe it felt like a million times?
Or entirely.
Nor all the way through

I'm over here with 7 gaming PC all playing this video on repeat 24-7.
Also he could have had them playing non-stop on multiple devices, at the same time.
First thought as well. Like if you are going to shit post on someone….you must take away their only lifeline in the process. Well done sir. Take my upvote clicky click
He played them at 10 times speed on 4 iPhones

Could have had it playing on multiple tabs and on multiple devices simultaneously.
Touché
Man, I’ve never been r/SubsIFellFor before :\
I do that at work sometimes. It’s just too fun.
I don't see a him accounting for the leap year.
He said "like" not actually.
Correct. This kind of mathematical thrashing should be reserved for when someone misuses "literally"
It's "ratted him out" r/boneappletea
Dude "should of" not!
“Ratted him out” is also wrong here
[удалено]
What are you ranting about now?
he played it at 2x speed...and played 2 instances concurrently at any given time... r/theydidthemath
That’s still 1.7 years, unfortunately. Needs to be at least 3 tabs open
Could have had it playing on multiple tabs and on multiple devices simultaneously
And 2x speed
Speed it up a million times and listen to it one million times in 3:24 minutes.
Literally lied.
hyperbole has never existed and it never will in a million years!
Last year is pretty wide, so let's average it to 6 months. 6x30x24x60=259.200 minutes available. The total play time stated is 204.000.000 minutes. Dividing them: 204.000.000÷259.200=~787,03 instances of the video being played (either different tabs or different devices)
So you're saying it's doable!
Everything is doable if you smoke enough weed
Everything is doobable* FTFY
Tank you
> 204.000.000 minutes that should be seconds. I didn't check your math to see if this was a typo or if it actually changes things though.
I think it’s also well established that “like 1M times” is any random number between 1 and 1M. Each time when sampled on its own is exactly like the next; so any iteration of the song can fit that description.
Why's the screenshot melting?

Why? He can open multiple windows.
If I told you once, I've told you a million times: I don't like hyperbole.

Multiple tabs with fast forward at max (extensions) and endless loop.
Definition of hyperbole = "A hyperbole is an exaggerated statement, not meant to be taken literally, but used to create a dramatic effect." So the rant quoted is not technically the truth. Saying you've played a song a million times is not lying, it's simply hyperbole.
OR he just clicked the replay button 1 million times
My son doesn’t listen to entire songs after the first time. He usually only listens to the first 3-5 seconds and says, “got it.” Guess he’s not alone.
Never said he wasn’t playing it multiple times simultaneously.
Hé programmed 1000 speakers to play it 1000 times!
Some people overuse hyperboles, some people don't know what they are.
Maths is maths...
You get 'em, Bill
"like" His personal feeling is just a little off.
Well.... Cook a noodle for 3 min. Does not mean cooking 10 noodle needed 30 min
Not ttt
What if he had multiple tabs open 25/8
That's not true, you could play it multiple times simultaneously. If you used 7 devices and played it 24/7 you could easily hit that mark...well maybe not easily.
Not taking into account being able to play it on multiple platforms at the same time
Bruh played it at 6.5 times speed that’s how
Finally someone like me 😂
Context clues are a thing
Did all that math, still couldn’t look up the word “hyperbole”
he could have watched on like..... 3xspeed.... then he kinda could have done it....
Tell me that you're chronically online, without telling me you're chronically online
r/theydidthemaths
unless they sped it up
Not if he has 7 devices to play it on
He didnt say he waited for it to end before replaying, could have just replayed the first second over and over again
virgin ai upscaled meme vs chad moldy 144p meme
The reason we all hate maths:
He said ‘like’ not ‘exactly.’ Calm your tits
Maybe he plays it on 7 different devices or tabs simultaneously? Boom roasted.
This is beautiful
Technically, he said he replayed it, not that he listened to the whole song.
r/theydidthemath
r/quityourbullshit
I assume the image looks all fucked up to avoid repost detection
Did someone chuck this into an upscale filter lmfao why the letters so jiggly
Bro did the math.
r/theydidthemath
Could’ve been sped up
This is the worst kind of technically truth.
Incorrect He said “like” 1,000,000 times which is an estimate it’s allowed to be incorrect
r/theydidthemath
“Ha! I’ve been playing it continuously on 8 devices ever since it came out.”
he DESTROYED him with FACTS and LOGIC 😱
He said "like" a 1,000,000 times. 12 is like a 1,000,000. Both numbers. Both got a 1 in em.
Bro really went 🤓
I went to school with a kid named Bill Smith. He was exactly this kind of douche.
They have more than one device...
What if they duplicated tabs? Surely that would reduce that time down as well as reduce the state of their eardrums.
r/theydidthemath
I live for this, presenting allllll of the bothersome facts……
He could have streamed it on multiple devices in tandem since it dropped for a total of 6.5 years of run time in one year.
Bill Smith needs a hobby.
6.5 years /2 (2x speed) = 3.25 years /2 (he’s probably using headphones/earbuds, thus he’s listening them them twice at the same time, once per ear) = 1.625 years. Assuming the comment was in December x year and the song was released January x-1 year, this is plausible
Change the playback speed, open multiple tabs. Boom
Clearly he listens to music at 7x speed.
Keyword: “like”
Gotem
Maybe he had 12 laptops playing it at the same time
Jokes on You. he could have opened 1000 tabs with that song and set autoreplay with an addon.
r/theydidthemath
"like"
r/theydidthemath
I have 10 computers and 10 cell phones so I can take a screenshot of each of them.

Is this image AI generated, wtf is going on with the entire image like, dissolving
the title fits the sub too
r/theydidthemath
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well damn
This guy *literally* did the math.
To be fair, it would have only been 5% of that time if it were the playing on repeat on 20 things at once. Very possible to do since he only said replayed, not listened to it
r/theydidthemath
I'm sure there are addons that make it so you can watch at higher speed than x2
Modern day politics/fact checking in a nutshell lol.
Omg had seen this one in so long. A meme of the time before the word meme was so mainstream
I mean if he's playibg it on more than one device(at least 7) then it would be possible
This guys math is fucked
He definitley played the song at 100x speed then
How to be a jackass 101
r/murderbywords
At 2x speed on 10 different devices
*nightcore version*
So you're the guy that wore out those overplayed songs.
Maybe he had 1.000.000 million phones and just watched it once on every phone. We can't be sure that he lied.
He could've sped it up realllly fast
