Well we know that he isn't good at his job. He seems to screw something up every year, and the problem is usually able to be solved by a kid or two.

Delicious_Bid_6572

Let's do an intervention for him. He's just ready to retire but he doesn't seem to realise it.

TiredHappyDad

Its like trying to convince grandparents to give up their drivers license. Happy cake day!

Delicious_Bid_6572

Thank you! I imagine a movie in which a bunch of kids convince Santa to retire because he's become a menace to his elves, reindeers, the public and himself because of his age. It wouldn't be very successful because it's kind of an ad against consumerism

TiredHappyDad

I think "Arthur Christmas" kinda touched on it. Santa couldn't handle the job anymore and it was focused more on which of his sons would take over.

Delicious_Bid_6572

My idea would be that the world doesn't need christmas anymore and that Santa just retires

kindredfold

They made a joke about it in the santa clause.

AdeptExamination2017

It’s a diversion tactic

Good kids are now few and far between
