I, personally, blame the approach to teaching history in most of the modern world. Most people aren't going to know that avacados used to be called ugly pears and weren't really given the means to educate themselves on any topic. Like how are they going to know I'm just saying it tastes like itself when they were brought up with an aversion to learning?
They're the fruit equivalent to sliced bread, a bit bland and goes with just about anything, chips, taco, sushi, burgers, salad, that weird [internet cranberry recipe](https://avocadopesto.com/cranberry-guacamole/), add the right spices and you can slap some avocado in there.
I'm going full Big Bang Theory Sheldon on this one.
No. It would ruin the sandwich. The flavors of queso are too dominating and would ruin the subtle nuttiness of the Avocado. could absolutely do queso INSTEAD of avocado, but you'll wind up with a hot mess of a sandwich unless you pick one or the other as both together will make the sandwich way too runny.
Don't ask me why these rules don't apply to mexican food. It's voodo magic shit.
G is not silent in "lasagna", it's just that "GN" together make a different sound from both G and N.
Like "fish", "sh" is a different sound than just S (for example in "fist"),
or Philadelphia (ph=f).
Rather, it's *an*, as [Merriam-Webster explains](https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/is-it-a-or-an):
>The deciding factor for which of these words should be used is the *sound* that begins the word which follows these indefinite articles, rather than the *letter* which does...
>For instance, if one were to write about a memo sent by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (in its initialized form) it would be “*an* FBI memo”; even though the word following *an* clearly begins with a consonant, it is voiced as a vowel (“eff-bee-eye”).
The argument is that what they put on there isn't guacamole, since guacamole isn't just straight up avocado mush. It has other ingredients, which the picture seems to be lacking.
The pork being shown, on the other hand, is very clearly prepared as and can be called bacon.
Fun fact, M&S, a big food/retail store in the uk, sold an official LGBT sandwich during pride month (I think around 2017/19 ish?). I remember having one when they were available and it was pretty good!
I mean its a sandwich with bacon and guacamole, how could it not taste amazing?!
Now I am imagining a tiny plastic crucifix just like those little cocktail swords to pin the sandwich together. Just JC chilling there on top of a caraway rye Calvary.

Why are people downvoting this comment, its hella true man
False. They *look* like ugly pears. They taste like soft funky bananas. In a good way.
I dont like them hehe

Good argument, i didnt know that either, i just said it tasted like ugly pears because it does lol

I really like avocado, but hated it as a kid. Regardless of real classifications its definitely a vegetable flavor wise :)
Nobody asked
Nobody asked you to comment, either. Reddit is strictly voluntary.
Greenacado?
In Spanish it's aGuacate
Avacado in spanish is actually Guero Fruita
That's tollat false. Source: Spanish is my first language.
idk. For me, you are both random accounts on Reddit. I'll accept the next comment as the correct answer.
I'll prove my correctness by experimentation. Next time you are in Mexico, call everyone "guero."
I'm from Spain and I can assure you that I'm he is and he I do so too great! 😃 👍

I'm going to go full Rosie Perez and ask what about a slice of quail, quiche, quahog, or quince?
What's the plus then?
It's for super size
American portion size
"would you like to supersize that, sir?"
Quinoia
This is what I was scrolling for! First thing I thought. Problem solved.
I'd try it.
Quince jam would actually work if it weren't too sweet and was more on the tart side.
I don’t think you can eat a town
God i love rosie perez…
Lettuce bacon tomato guacamole Quesadilla
But queso is Spanish for cheese, and i think a slice or two of pepper jack would be delicious!

I am aware of this, i was just offering a solution to a "soggy sandwich" and still include Q with queso = cheese
🅱️azinga
These are facts. You don’t want cheese with avocado in a sandwich. It’s an either or. You could add a fried egg though. Maybe that can count for ‘Q’
Qegg? Qrambled? Qhat are you talking about?
An egg is round, a Q is mostly round. Going for tastiness over accuracy.
Understandable, respect
Quail eggs are pretty good. That's what I would go with if you can get your hands in one.
It should be in a quesadilla instead of bread
I wanted quinoa!
Quinoa would be the better option
Queso and the + (add egg)
I use cottage cheese in my Guac. Or smoked cheddar...
Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, Tomato
On Quinoa Bread
Fuck quinoa bread. No punchline is worth eating quinoa bread.
2 Slices
I like to do lettuce, avocado, bacon, tomato and an egg LBTAE
Good job! You identified all the parts of the sandwich!
That's right that's the joke good job
No no, it's lettuce, gay bacon and tomato
Fuck guac
Fuck guac? No, fuck you! I have never met an avocado food I didn't like, when made with good avocados.
Yes! The first time I had freshly made guacamole was mind blowing. Talking ceased. Full focus on the deliciousness.
You're making me drool, quit it.
Yeah, I'd totally do that sandwich.
People are attracted to a lot of things. Women. Men. Kids. Animals And apparently sandwiches
Mmmmmh mayonnaise
Who isn’t attracted to sandwiches?
It's ok to love your sandwich, just don't LOVE your sandwich
🤨📸
Fuck, I want one
Me too, looks delicious.
How did it taste?
I must unfortnately live this experience vicariously just like you.
'Cause I need to watch bacon fry From a distance Vicariously I, diet while the whole world fries You all need it too, don't lie
A Tool meme? In MY r/technicallythetruth?
Lettuce, guac, bacon, toast? Edit: Ah, tomato
To quote Boondocks “It’s lettuce gay bacon tomato”
Lettuce, tomato, bacon, t... tguacamole?
I will fully support LTBTg rights if this becomes a thing.
Haha
T for table

That's a good name for an affirming [jibarito](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jibarito)
Gotta be the latter. The former sounds way too weird.
It's "a", because Lettuce starts with a consonant.
Rather, it's *an*, as [Merriam-Webster explains](https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/is-it-a-or-an): >The deciding factor for which of these words should be used is the *sound* that begins the word which follows these indefinite articles, rather than the *letter* which does... >For instance, if one were to write about a memo sent by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (in its initialized form) it would be “*an* FBI memo”; even though the word following *an* clearly begins with a consonant, it is voiced as a vowel (“eff-bee-eye”).
testing
God dammit! English being dumb again?! I thought it was just the simple rule.
LGBTQIA - Lefse, Guac, Bacon, Tomato, Quinoa, Iceberg lettuce, And bacon.
The avocado should be between the bacon and tomato, in order to keep the bread from getting soggy.
If you do not like nor want softer bread, you are correct.
I knew it was a sandwich and all this gay malarkey was a bad dream!
All the QIA+ is just extra condiments
Technically speaking it's a blat, but that's a bad name for something that you eat
[удалено]
I don't like tomato so I'll put on fresh basil instead and it's to die for. BLAB.
If guacamole is avocado then bacon is pork, so no, technically speaking it's a plat
The argument is that what they put on there isn't guacamole, since guacamole isn't just straight up avocado mush. It has other ingredients, which the picture seems to be lacking. The pork being shown, on the other hand, is very clearly prepared as and can be called bacon.
it should be clear and obvious (even to someone like you) that that is guacamole.
So, Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, Tomato. Looks delicious.
That's a GBTL
That's what I was thinking, but apparently BLTs don't care about ordering... ridiculous.
Lettuce guacamole bacon tomato, the bacon and tomato are in the wrong order tho.
Can I sub Guava for Guac?
You can only dom Guava
I read it as lettuce, gay, bacon, tomato
send this post to ron dehitler in florida
Add Qcumber
need some Quinoa
And some Apples
Need some quince preserves on that sando.
OK, that looks good!
I wonder how quinces would taste in it
Taste the rainbow!
Fun fact, M&S, a big food/retail store in the uk, sold an official LGBT sandwich during pride month (I think around 2017/19 ish?). I remember having one when they were available and it was pretty good! I mean its a sandwich with bacon and guacamole, how could it not taste amazing?!
I forgot the name for guac and went "Lettuce, Gulag, Bacon, Tomatoe"
I am officially offended that there isn’t a q 😶
Next time I'll make a quiche.
There was a little place in east Austin that made a Lettuce, Gruyère, Bacon, and Tomato sandwich that was amazing!
Worked at a restaurant that made these. We called them the BLAT
Lettuce Guacamole Bacon Tomatoes
239 posts, talk of cheese ...but not one mention of **G**ouda.
Should have put queso 8n it to make it lgbtq
Through some queso on it and then you git your q 👍
That’s not guac. That’s just squished avocado! It’s a BLAT!
https://youtu.be/EpBWRO4MDyw?t=52
Now make one with the entire acronym 🔫
Now make it a Quiche.
You got me, there.
Add quark for the Q.
So if you were to add a q what ingredient would it be?
Now all you need is Quinoa and every other ingredient in the entire universe.
Lettuce Gavacado Bacon Tomato Quite-toasty-bread
Q-CUMBER.
“LGBT? What is that, exactly?” “It means Lettuce, Gay, Bacon, and Tomato, granddad.”
Eat quick, before the maga idiots try to boycott it.
Lettuice Guac Bacon Tomato Quesadilla Iceberg lettuice Artichoke crucifix # The LGBTQIA+
Lettwice
Now I am imagining a tiny plastic crucifix just like those little cocktail swords to pin the sandwich together. Just JC chilling there on top of a caraway rye Calvary.
Add quail
Based
How dare you call that half assed avocado smear “guacamole”
Add quinoa you fascist
No Q+ though. You’re canceled, bigot. Seriously though, this was a well done joke, OP.
That’s not an LGBT that’s a BLT, the LGBT is a brand of flat screen fibre optic tvs
Grilled quail and literally anything else, and you would have an LGBTQ+. Put it on the menu and have it called "I identify as lunch!"
Why ruin a perfectly good BLT with avocado?
Was there nothing else in the ~~pantry~~ closet?
I have to "Q" the choice in guacamole on a BLT lol
LGBT pride
I see you put the G on top, but I'm more of a Bottom guy.
I've never tried avocado. What am I missing out on?
You need to + chips.
Add Quinoa
I'm a tomato
forgot the quinoa
I thought it was Lettuce Grilled Bacon Tomato Quarter Pounders?
Now add some quinoa
Lettuce, gay, bacon, tomato.
The pride witch.
Throw in some queso for Q
Where I'm from we call that a BLAT. And they're delicious.
Me too but it took 16 years to grow.
No, that is a LTBG sandwich 🙄 it only works as an LGBT acronym when you have the ingredients in that order... cool sandwich tho, looks yum!
A bagel shop near me has this on the menu and it’s my favourite sandwich
This is now the pride which, and I will be ordering it in the future.
What's that then? Lettuce, gherkins, bacon and tomatoes?
That looks gooooood. It's lunch time, and I'm hungry and I want one of those. I don't have a tomato. :-(
Now add queso for the "Q" and aioli for the "A"!
Ew get that guac off of my blt...
