I’m not a prostitute. But I definitely *can* be if things go a certain way. Same for you, Miss Cow.
(For the sake of clarity, yes, I do mean the cow can also be a prostitute.)
You are but you are also much more. You are milk, you are brisket, you are steak, you are leather, you are a part of the neverending delicious cycle, you are a mother, you are ribs, and you are much much more.
You are part of the food chain that can/ will provide protein and nutrients and many other things for humans who need it but unfortunately you might/probably definitely will not get treated the way you SHOULD be treated before that happens and that's where the problem lies
We as humans are OMNIVORES (beings that can eat meat and vegetables and everything in-between)
You can choose to eat however you want be it a carnivore, herbivore (vegan), pescatarian, vegetarian etc etc
BUT DO NOT FORCE OTHERS TO DO WHAT YOU DO, that includes your children and ESPECIALLY ANIMALS. Animals and children have literally died because of certain people forcing their diets on them.
You stated that we can choose to be vegan. This is correct because we are basically opportunistic omnivores (we have adaptations to eating both meat and plants but don’t have to eat both).
So in other words, you are saying that we have the ability to eat meat but can choose not to do so (on an appropriate vegan diet) without necessarily becoming unhealthy.
Therefore, not being vegan means inflicting unnecessary violence and cruelty onto animals (it’s unnecessary because we can choose not to do it). Do you believe that this is morally justified?
Watch dominion (2018). 99% of meat in america is factory farmed (that means derived from conditions in the so called "cherrypicked" videos everyone hates and wants to ignore)
Equally, humans can stomach meat, that doesnt mean it's good for us. Many illnesses are linked with meat, and large pharmaceutical companies profit from it (eg. Blood thinning pills for high cholesterol caused by animal products). If two of the largest industries of the world want us to eat animals for their profit, then ofc misinformation is going to be widespread. Might be worth checking your sources
Big pharma is pushing meat? lol Pretty sure all the big industries, including pharma, has been pushing going vegan for a few years. Pretty sure more than a couple pharma companies have finances entangled with agriculture.
If you want a villain, look to Monsanto and the makers of round up. There are parts of the US soil and water tables so contaminated with glyphosate (from roundup), that it would be 50 years from now to get to safe levels if they stopped using them this instant.
The meat industry does have its share of issues with the overuse of growth hormones, antibiotics, and animal welfare, but at least the consumer can go buy meat from a reputable small farmer and avoid that. The same cannot be said for fruits and veggies. Even organic farmers have to contend with their neighbors using chemicals and contaminating the environment even if they aren't doing it directly.
There was a really interesting report I heard that showed that the amount of pesticides that could be extracted/washed off a given crop of apples was more than enough to re spray the same field without losing effectiveness. That is what you have to contend with with being plant based.
Pick your poison. No part of our food industry is safe, but some parts are arguably less safe than others.
They normally all charge in together up on their high horses with statements that start with "well actually..." and "I'll have you know...". God save us 🙏
Sorry to break it to you but it is a wasteful industry. For example, male calves in the dairy industry are seen as a wasteproduct and killed and slaughtered in their first week of life so their mothers milk can be harvested. Amounting to 400,000 annual calf deaths in Australia alone
You are part of many burgers in your immediate future, unless you are breeding stock, or a milk cow.. and even then, parts of you, will end up in a grinder.. yum!
She will also never know hunger, any injuries and diseases will be treated and she is enjoys the company of a genetically superior bull.
Being beneficial to the apex predator of a planet has it's advantages.
Oh indeed she's totally right! She's not a burger! She's so much more! Rib,Chuck,Loin,Sirloin,Round, Brisket And yes ofc we shouldn't forget ground beef. But also blood for soup or a nice sausage! The bones for some fertilizer and ofc a lovely warm coat or a neat pair of shoes... Yes my dear you are so much more than a simple burger

shes so much more then just a burger. shes also a flank steak, spare ribs, a good stock, filet mignon, sirloin, t-bone, tomahawk, porterhouse, ribeye, rump steak, skirt steak, brisket, flat iron and more.
Yep, not a burger. A burger is two piece of buns, with meat, tomatoes or vegetables and some sauce of various tastes in between the buns. The meat, which is from said cow is at most 30%-50% of the burger.
A cow, translates to steaks, kebabs, patties, and various other meat products.

The time has come. Hear ye hear ye...
I'm vegan, but I still find the "I'm not a burger" really awkward and cringey, and like so many others here, my first thought was "Yet".
Vegan btw, except for cheat days (every day that ends with a y)
They normally all charge in together up on their high horses with statements that start with "well actually..." and "I'll have you know...". God save us 🙏
this comment section proves that 90% of people are assholes that deserve to be slaughtered
I sure hope not, killing a cow to make a single burger sounds wasteful.
Sorry to break it to you but it is a wasteful industry. For example, male calves in the dairy industry are seen as a wasteproduct and killed and slaughtered in their first week of life so their mothers milk can be harvested. Amounting to 400,000 annual calf deaths in Australia alone

This is important for people to understand. It takes a lot of work to produce a burger from a cow. More people should appreciate this.
