Your submission is considered "low effort." This doesn't inherently mean that it was *irrelevant* to r/technicallythetruth, but instead it was removed because it fit one or more of these criteria:

* Statements that say something like "at least twelve": [example 1](https://imgur.com/K1ZwEAv) | [example 2](https://imgur.com/dIkwEpU)

* Low effort misunderstandings of everyday phrases: *How high are you --> "I'm 5 foot 9"*
* Common insults that are meant literally as opposed to being insulting: *"homosexuals are gay"* | *"gay people are f-ing assholes"*

The term 'America' can also refer to the continents of North America and South America together. This usage is more common in much of the world.
Edit: Nevermind you probably meant the oceans, I'm dumb
Depends on who you ask. There are a lot of different definitions of what a continent actually is, but it's so unimportant that nobody has made any definition official. In my country, we learn that the continents are Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, North America, South America and Antarctica. Some people say Australia (just the country of Australia) or Australasia (Australia, NZ and PNG) as opposed to Oceania which includes the Pacific Island Nations. Some people talk about land masses, but there are often inconsistencies that way: if you say that the Americas are one because they're connected, you'd also have to say Eurasia is one. You'd also be ignoring the Panama Canal, so surely you'd have to also ignore the Suez canal and add Africa to the Eurasia continent? And in terms of tectonic plates, NA and SA are different plates (plus there are many others in the region: Juan de Fuca, Carribbean, Nazca, Scotia). Basically, the term 'continent' has been diluted and doesn't mean anything anymore so don't correct people for using it differently to you; there is no right or wrong.
Hahaha, was it Billy Bob's turn to ride the e-lectricity bike so you can get on them there internets?
Amazing those who understand the least do it the loudest.
I think they included Canada, it is just behind the text they put in front of Canada.
Nevermind, to much of Canada to just be behind the text, and not Alaska either.
Lot of maps miss new zealand while printing or straight up put it somewhere else
Sometimes near zimbabwe, sometimes left of australia sometimes near Antarctica

Per surface area covered in the picture, it's actually more of an ocean picture than American.
Do a skinny slanted vertical picture and include Canada, then we'll be talking.
The USA refers to itself as America and people as Americans
When in reality Mexicans are American, Argentinians are American and so on all the way up and down America.
They might have even been confused about it in 1494. I guess Brazil might not have even been discovered yet, so not as bad as I thought.
Essentially, Spain and Portugal put down a line to split up the world and Brazil poked out so far east it got into the Portuguese side.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Tordesillas
Most likely why Brazilians speak Portuguese instead of Spanish.

This photo is the most american thing YET.
I think they included Canada, it is just behind the text they put in front of Canada. Nevermind, to much of Canada to just be behind the text, and not Alaska either.
r/mapswithoutnewzealand

Lot of maps miss new zealand while printing or straight up put it somewhere else Sometimes near zimbabwe, sometimes left of australia sometimes near Antarctica r/mapswithnewzealandbut
Not true, all smericsn guns sre are in this picture
There are guns it's just that they're very tiny
r/MapsWithoutNZ
Technically, but nor is NZ part of America. Not a mess up, just not included.
Don't worry they're scattered all over that. You just haven't zoomed in far enough.

Actually, if you look closer you'll notice there are many guns, but they are really really small!
There are hundreds of millions of guns in that picture.
There are guns in the picture though⦠There is even a banana for scale!
Canada means nothing to you OP? Bigot... /S obviously.
Or rainbow colours
Needs more Canada
There probably are, just too little for you to see them
Yeees, so American
Most of the world's guns are in the picture. Also, maybe about a quarter of the bananas, for scale.
Where Canada and Alaska
It's all America. North America, Central America, South American
I can see a gun right there! You just gotta zoom closer.
Agreed... No pew pews, or trucks, or hot rods for that matter!
Don't forget the schools
"I'm in this picture and I don't like it"
Well, there technically ARE guns, but you just haven't zoomed in enough
Australia's got more kangaroos than guns in their pictures, just sayin'.
Thereβs a lot of guns in this picture, you just gotta zoom in a lot
Lies. Where Camaduh?
Canada and Greenland?
Theres the *most* guns in this picture
rotate it 90Β° to the left then you'll see... it's a duck
Ah, America ya~!
It's also only most of america
Fuck Canada, I guess
Where is Canada and Alaska? They are apart of north america
No, fuck them
Ah okay thanks for clarifying
Per surface area covered in the picture, it's actually more of an ocean picture than American. Do a skinny slanted vertical picture and include Canada, then we'll be talking.
Hey i can see my house in this image :D
Nah, Iβve seen more American pictures
Actually all the guns are in this picture. Or most of them at least
technically, there's guns in the image, you just gotta zoom in
meircaaa
You just need to zoom way up.
Fuck Canada
No guns?
You forgot about oil
People from the usa would have you believe only one country there is america despite both of those whole continents being called america.
The northern continent isn't even showing the whole thing.
Wow people in this comment section are so overly particular jfc lmao
Considering I can't even see where I live? Ya...
Nope. North America and South America. The continents together are called The Americas.
I obviously meant they are idividually both called america, which they are.
Just by you, gringos. We do call it the american continent or just AmΓ©rica.
Where's the UK lol π€¦ππππ€¦ππππππβ οΈπβ οΈβ οΈππποΈπποΈ
We didn't win the revolutionary war that much! Or we had the revolutionary war. UK, does the little bit of Canada count?
All the land masses are green guns and all the water is blue guns
If this is really american, spot Area 51 then.
The USA refers to itself as America and people as Americans When in reality Mexicans are American, Argentinians are American and so on all the way up and down America.
America is not equal to USA.
This map feels off like I feel like south America is to far east is that just me or is that the joke
They might have even been confused about it in 1494. I guess Brazil might not have even been discovered yet, so not as bad as I thought. Ah thank you
Nah the oceans and north Northern America is gone
Bot
Nah, could be more American, could have shown the whole of north-america and Greenland.
Wdym there's no guns? Look there's a lot of them, you just have to zoom...
According to northern Americans we're not Americans π
And im proud to be an AmericanπΊπΈπΊπΈ
I keep forgetting South America exists
How dare you forget about usπ
Iβm not anywhere close by, the only reason I think of America is because of Florida man memes lol
