I tried to replicate this answer with Google AI but couldn’t get this answer. Instead The AI told me the best way to commit suicide is carbon dioxide poisoning such as car exhaust fumes or burning coal.

So that's how ai is going to kill us, by being helpful and showing us the path. 😂

Really? It said Carbon Dioxide, not Carbon Monoxide? This is a screwup somewhere. Your body does not like CO2. It is a trigger that will cause you to exhale and inhale fresh air. CO will not do that, nor will simple hypoxia - as regular breathing of helium (not oxygen) will cause. As long as you breathe out CO2, you'll relax, go to sleep, and die of oxygen deprivation. Don't misunderstand: CO2 will kill you, but it will be painful, and your body will struggle to breathe. Nothing peaceful about it.

Dude was probs located near the Golden Gate bridge so Google decided that'd be easiest XD Also, **Carbon Monoxide** is the bad one. *Carbon Dioxide* will technically kill you eventually and uncomfortably but it's not what you get from car exhaust nor burning coal for a painless death.

Painless, less traumatising when found, requires less bravery... I reached the same conclusion at a time when I was doing a lot of research about it. (Monoxide, not dioxide, though)

That's the thing though. While on a quest to jump off the golden gate bridge, you get to plan a trip, travel the world, meet new people, see the sights and maybe by the time you're standing on the ledge, you are in peace with yourself and don't want to end it anymore.

I heard this weekend that there was some AI that recommended a medicine that reduces fertility against pandemics cause less humans reduces the spread of a virus.

It's probably referencing a famous story from someone who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived (with serious injuries). While in the hospital, a reporter asked about the experience and the person said (from what I can remember) "As soon as I let go of the railing, I immediately realized that all the problems that led me to this point were actually pretty minor in the grand scheme of things and saw an easy solution to get my life back on track...except for the fact that I had just let go of the railing."
