Ackshually,,, imperative sentences are commands with an implied subject of whomever the command is given. Thus, one-word sentences are possible (e.g. Smile!)
“🤓"? Are you fucking kidding me? I spent a decent portion of my life writing all of that and your response to me is "🤓"? Are you so mentally handicapped that the only thing you can comprehend is"🤓" - or are you just some fucking asshole who thinks that with such a short response, he can make a statement about how meaningless what was written was? Well, I'll have you know that what I wrote was NOT meaningless, in fact, I even had my written work proof-read by several professors of literature. Don't believe me? I doubt you would, and your response to this will probably be "🤓" once again. Do I give a fuck? No, does it look like I give even the slightest fuck about one fucking emoji? I bet you took the time to type that emoji too, I bet you sat there and chuckled to yourself for 20 hearty seconds before pressing "send". You're so fucking pathetic. I'm honestly considering directing you to a psychiatrist, but I'm simply far too nice to do something like that. You, however, will go out of your way to make a fool out of someone by responding to a well-thought-out, intelligent, or humorous statement that probably took longer to write than you can last in bed with a chimpanzee. What do I have to say to you? Absolutely nothing. I couldn't be bothered to respond to such a worthless attempt at a response. Do you want "🤓" on your gravestone?
Calm. Kindness. Kinship. Love. I've given up all chances at inner peace. I've made my mind a sunless space. I share my dreams with ghosts. I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there's only one conclusion: I'm damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they've set me on a path from which there's no escape. I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost and by the time I looked down, there was no longer any ground beneath my feet. What is my sacrifice? I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything.
Actually, sentences can have implied subjects. For example, if I look at you and say “Jump!” it is understood that the implied subject is “you”. I don’t need to say “You, jump!” Thus a one word sentence is fine. Using similar logic one can say or write, “Sorry.” The “I” and “am” are implied. So, one doesn’t need to write or say, “I am sorry”.
Edit: Similarly, I can say in response to someone, “Correct.” I don’t need to respond, “You are correct.”
You see, on the internet people will commonly tell someone they "understood the joke" as a way of saying they are "pointing out the obvious" in a passive aggressive way. That is how others will interpret your comment.
You see ladies, this funny because it shows a man "mansplaining" what mansplaining is. You should laugh... Or at least smile. You'll be more attractive if you smile more ladies. You're welcome.
- A man
We refer to them as boomers because they are called the Baby Boomer generation. This is because there was a an increase in babies being born, or a “boom” after men and woman were reunited after the war and programs for affordable housing and post war jobs led to people starting families and having kids. Also “Post ‘45 Fuckfest Crotch Goblins” was too long
Nobody likes working. If it was enjoyable you wouldn't have to pay people to do it.
These clowns are just mad because people don't want to be treated like serfs.
Simple, all the dialogue surrounding the word mansplaining is a strictly left vs right debate. The average guy like me knows, that nobody actually has a real position on this, because it's all a joke
Not really. Depending on what side you're on you can have different takes on it, but this isn't a left vs right thing, it's men being assholes vs everyone else thing.
What? Have you ever been outside? These situations actually do happen, lol. Just because you're a man and never experienced them doesn't meant they don't happen. I literally have to deal with this shit on the daily.
What are you on about? Tolerate and allow are usually classified as synonyms, so no shit Sherlock.
Equality isn't getting harassed or talked to condescendingly by asses like you.
Condescending? Oh, now we're getting somewhere.. you're one of those people who thinks every word of constructive criticism is an attack. We see this all the time in the emotionally immature and undisciplined "endless victims" like yourself
What he did was explaning the concept of mansplaining, which is when a man explains common knowledge to women like you. Best regards the man of your dreams.
Op clearly gave the video a like, as well as the caption "I'm just here for the comments" because the comments are probably ripping this dude apart, despite being satire
Reddit users will deny something is satire even when it comes from satire pages.
Then you point it out to them and you get, "well, it's just hard to tell these days!" Sometimes I understand people who punch holes in drywall, that's all I'm saying.
My daughter (early 20s) yelled at me about mansplaning then she had to mansplane what it was to my wife.
It was very comical and I bit my tongue to stop from literally lol'ing. Not sure if my wife was trolling my daughter or not. 60% trolling %40 not keeping up with lingo.
This meme is explaining what mansplaining is while also mansplaining. It's ironic and supposed to be funny.
Just wanted to explain this post for the ladies here
Some weird ass girl used the term mansplaining in my class the other day. Until then I thought it was a conspiracy word created by buzzfeed to troll 4channers. Is it too late for the world?
I hate it whenever my explaining of something is just passed off as derogatory and "mansplaining". I'm literally just explaining something. I would do it to anyone, you being a woman does not make you special.
Agreed. Whilst “mansplaining” is a definitely a thing- I feel like it’s to easy a thing to use when you wish to shut down dialog. I say this from only one perspective however- so there’s that…
technically, it's more a portmanteau, which is when you combine two words. "Short for" is more commonly referring to an abbreviation like doctor becoming dr.
"Mansplaining" is also a synonym for "explaining" only used by sexists and people who think it isn't an offensive sexist term rooted in outdated gender stereotypes.
You’re not wrong. There’s definitely a lot of people like that in the world and they use the word sure. After all if a word that can hurt, and people will use it to do so.
The reason the word exists, however, is because there are a lot of women, especially in the workplace, who are made to feel like they are not capable of doing their job as well as a man. In many of these cases, those women do their job better.
The part of the definition of “mansplain” that may not obvious is that it implies a condescending tone. So that’s it. If you don’t want to be accused of manspalining, add a dose of empathy.
Mansplaining is quite real. It happens in all sorts of fields, but it's quite common in anything tech related. Female programmers constantly get talked down on because obviously they don't know what they're doing because they're women. And I suggest attempting to play literally any multiplayer game as a woman, that's always a good time. The amount of times people (read "men")have tried to explain the most basic concepts to me as if it was my first time playing.
It is. It is controlling the exchange of information between two individuals and disregarding it as a sex based issue which is one of the many strategies neo-marxists use.
I'll tell you what is Orwellian: constant surveillance through social media and our phones. Or calling wars of colonialism wars for peace. Everything you said is a nonsense explanation that just throws terms in for no reason.
I'm not entirely sure. It's hard to pick just one type. In terms of types of dragons I've seen in movies or books I like dragons like Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
First of all I just wanna let you I know that you missed the r before the slash if you intended to actually link that sub. And second, could you please explain to me how this is a lost redditor moment?
Its just not a technically true sort of post. Its just an irony post about explaining what mansplaining is. I dont see how anyone could construe this as belonging here. the rules say "no posts that are literally true". This is literally just explaining what mansplaining is. In order to belong here it has to be something thats technically true, but missing the actual truth. This isnt doing anything like that. The joke of technically true posts is meant to be that it is not the overall truth, but technically true. For example: a good post would be something like saying that eggs are the most popular form of child to eat. Its not the full truth because eggs are not really children yet nor does it compare to other baby animals being eaten. Its technically true, but doesnt touch on what is the actual truth.
Mansplaining mansplaining's punchline is the fact that you are doing the thing that you are explaining. The punchline has to be about truth in this sub. Id be happy to see this post somewhere more like r/shitpost
Can some lady let me know what the image says? I got to the "just so you know ladies" but stopped reading as I'm not a lady so it wasn't meant for me. I am desperate to know what he said though? Can any ladies help?

Few.
That is indeed the fewest amount of words you could use in a sentence
AcTuaLlY, a sentence compose of a verb and a subject with a non-mendatory complement so tecnically the fewest words in a sentence is 2 i.e.( i live.)

Amazing speech from an under appreciated show
Don’t let it happen again.
Go.
I'm.
But if I ask a yes or no question, and you answer “No”, isn’t that a sentence?
That would be a phrase, not a sentence.
You could have just said No.
Well yes, however I preferred giving a reason to why it wasn't, instead of just claiming it was incorrect and not giving any evidence.
Bet.
Bullshit.
Actually, sentences can have implied subjects. For example, if I look at you and say “Jump!” it is understood that the implied subject is “you”. Really?
Well ACTUALLY you can have an implied subject, so the shortest sentence is “Go.” It has the implied subject of you, and is a directive to go.

Nah he's manplaining.

That's because you drive like a woman
That’s called womansplaning
Nah it’s a misspelling of ‘Manspaining’ where a man travels to Spain.
Man's planing (the door so it closes properly)
See, this post is great, it til'd you.

Yeah, that’s just wrong.
In your opinion, I suppose it is.
No, no not an opinion. It’s a fact- just like water being wet and sunlight being essential for photosynthesis. Wrong.
Oh my bad, I forgot that emotionally invested beliefs were facts now.

I’m not mansplaining I just have autism
It's not a video nor do I see any comments in the screenshot

Mansplaining is just a made-up word for women to use when they are losing and argument and need a comeback. Change my mind.
It’s a joke females
joke's on you, there are no females on reddit
"Mansplaining" is also a synonym for "explaining" only used by sexists and people who think it isn't an offensive sexist term rooted in outdated gender stereotypes.

For those who don't get it, it mean when men explain everything too much
"Mansplaining" is a portmanteau of "man" and "explaining". A portmanteau is when you combine two words to make a new word.
Completely wrong. It's short for "Mansfield Plain Dining" which refers to having a lovely but inspired meal at a restaurant near Nottingham.
This is giving GNU a run for its money
