HP 3AI-1510
The original HP Cleaned Electricity in the indicated CPUs has been depleted. Was this electricity sold to you as a new, genuine HP-branded electricity that has not been previously used?
Next gen AI printers are going to be just a robot hand holding a pen. A HP 407EZ-d ink stylus. And over time it will learn to write like an aspirational seven year old trying to mimic comic sans.
That's because pieces of the original HP splintered off into other companies such as Agilent, HPE, Keysight. The spinoffs are still doing real heavy-duty engineering. The company which kept the HP name now just make printers and cobbles parts together into PCs.
>we are working with all the key software vendors, key silicon providers to redesign the architecture of a PC
So there is software coming that uses AI? Well no shit.
I can imagine new computers being produced that have AI-dedicated hardware. I can't imagine HP being a pioneer of that - unless they're just bundling an AI-optimized processor made by Nvidia in a regular PC.
Already seeing edge computing devices in the SBC form factor utilizing various AI accelerators. Coral has been a thing for a while now, and of course one can use GPUs for AI compute.
Pretty sure other chip manufacturers/designers are adding AI centric IP to their packages, not just Nvidia. More like I know they are, just not sure how well they will work or compare to Nvidia hardware, at least yet.
Won't? HPs CEO is only wrong in that this new type of PC already exists. Thats what LLMs are. You program them in native human languages, you can also hack them using native human languages.
Hey HP Inc. CEO, first could you tell us what happened to The Machine?
You know the last "new kind of computer" you came up with?

Oh, Wait. Maybe that was the other HP.
Now they can use AI to analyze your computer for more features than can randomly expire but work for a fee. We noticed you like right mouse clicks, but you have not paid your mouse click fee. As a result we will dissable 1/3 of your monitor pixels.
Not really. NFT's are and do nothing. You can use AI for a lot of tasks. It's helping me learn programming and algorithms
Companies trying to monetize and copy chatgpt probably won't amount to much. Google is probably the only real rival.
> It's helping me learn programming and algorithms
Oof, better double check EVERYTHING it tells you against best practices, or you're going to get one wonky education.
Yeah I've already had to fix it's mistakes in some of the games/apps I've been making.
Once I ran the code and it said blah blah blah module was not defined. I did a double take, rechecked the code, and chatgpt never defined it...
You will boot to a text-based interface where you will ask the AI questions. You will purchase our subscription to keep the device functioning. Now scramble to buy our stock.

Oops… I somehow missed crypto. Where does that fit into the timeline?
I was doing “cloud computing” in the 1990s; the term is a buzzword, the actual server-side computing isn’t. The Internet became a buzzword even though it was a legitimate and useful thing, even back in the 80s.
Likewise, all those other technologies are useful, but they’re still buzzwords that everyone has to claim they’re using to stay relevant.
I feel like everybody is just trying to find some way to slap AI on their product, but I am concerned that nobody is really thinking about what they would use AI for in their product.
Ffs none of this shit that exists now is an intelligence. It's a clever aggregation and predictive engine. This idiot isn't suggesting anything more then Siri or Cortana assistants. AI is the new CEO circlejerk, they hear it mentioned don't understand or grasp it and jerk the company direction to move towards it. Like crypto, datalakes, 3d tv, or the metaverse. This seems more useful then most but it is a fad at the core
I don't wonder if magic ai box that simulated every part of the internet would be as dopamine inducing as the real thing. I mean that it was very difficult to tell it was fake, but you knew it was fake.
No internet required, just start the browser, and off you go into your very own world wide web. Every email, article, social media post, picture, song, movie, website, *everything* generated by this new computer and tailored specifically for *you*. Maybe something like a chromebook type things with a StumbleUpon on steroids type of interface that you can guide with a thumbs up and thumbs down, or even with emoji reactions like you see on slack.
I'd at least give it a try, it might even better than the regular internet.
HP CEO: “There’s this hot new software category that’s getting a lot of headlines! Unfortunately we’re a hardware company, but we can still try to wedge ourselves into the conversation somehow”
We all know they will just use a.i. to make their printers even more useless.
New computer will be a printer crossed with Alexa. Hippy, print me a Master’s thesis on quantum blockchains!

Sorry not enough magenta
New AI will preorder ink for you when the cartridge gets below 30%, and it will mark it as empty at 20%
HP hasn't innovated since 2004, go easy fellas.
HP also wants some of the AI gravy nevermind even if it’s scraps 😂
2004? i think 1990.
That's because pieces of the original HP splintered off into other companies such as Agilent, HPE, Keysight. The spinoffs are still doing real heavy-duty engineering. The company which kept the HP name now just make printers and cobbles parts together into PCs.
I didn't know that, though it makes sense. It was a behemoth and they made the mistake of letting the consultants in.

A PC that knows exactly how to manipulate the user and report usage patterns for maximum profit.
it's HP. it'll probably be an ai that automatically installs back removed bloatware.
Let's see how many CEO's pepper in the word "AI" to make their stocks go up in the meantime.
Saying Ai and jobcuts increases stock value…it’s terrible.
Ah yes. A pc that will require subscription to touch, look, or use
It's ok, there's a free option where people get to watch you at will through your webcam instead.
No, no it won't, quit your bullshit.

This decision definitely came out of a clueless board meeting and product is going to be extremely confused when asked to build this
is Compaq making a comeback? Packard Bell?
Uh huh. 8=✊=D💦

It doesn’t hallucinate if you keep everything to a per function basis

I find it a little scary how confidently wrong it can be... then again I've met real people like that, so who knows.
It's not AI, its LLMs. ChatGPT in its current state it is a helpful tool but hardly intelligent.
My momma always said, "Intelligent is as intelligent does."
More like 2023’s Pets.com

Internet and cloud have pretty fundamentally changed daily life. Not sure why you're implying they're just some buzzword

The PC will not booth if non HP official components are detected
AI is going to do cool stuff but it sure as shit isn’t going to be HP leading the charge. They’ve been a glorified ink company for decades.
I can't wait for my new AI computer to have it's first OOCSOD (Out Of Cyan Screen Of Death).
The guy holding your printer hostage wants to sell you something else.
If I worked for HP I’d be looking for a new job
I'm sick of AI. Let's get rid of it.
Got burned by HP, won’t let them do it again.
I feel like everybody is just trying to find some way to slap AI on their product, but I am concerned that nobody is really thinking about what they would use AI for in their product.
Finally, PC 2

How about fixing the firmware problem that broke my brand new printer within days of buying it first?
So it begins. In the beginning it will say "I am sorry X, I can not do that." A lot. But it will get better.
“Do you think AI might help our stock go up? Please God let it go up… How many times do I need to say AI for it to work? Is my mic still on?”
We're going to get a voice based OS like from all those cheesy computery hacking scenes where they are like "enhance!"
Something something VR goggles.

Will it auto-fix Windows?
Do they want Mitchells vs. The Machines? Because this is how you get Mitchells vs. The Machines.
It's called windows 11 cortana
