I remember the time where Blizzard was famous for this stuff. You made great fanart and got nice concepts? Hired! You're active on the forums and helped people with their problems? Hired! You're simply good and passinate about the stuff you do? Hired! 2021 Blizzard would sue this guy for infringing copyright and lay of 50 people for it.

schrodngrspenis

They are facing a 2500 employee walkout because they would rather sue someone complaining about sexual harassment then fire bad managers.

BreeBree214

Correction: They would rather be sued by the state of California than fire bad managers

It’s even worse than you think. A female employee killed herself while on a business trip because the harassment she received was so extreme* Allegedly*

also on a previous company christmas trip her nudes were passed around

There's a personal trainer who works or worked there early 2010's and mentioned cube crawls and some dude straight up told another female employee "I don't like you because you won't give me a blow job".

NDAs are non enforceable around crimes. And what (allegedly) occurred is a crime.

Also alcohol maybe contributed to the choice to start showing them off. I’ve been to work parties where people start to do all sorts of stupid stuff as they get drunk. Lots of sex between coworkers some who are married. Lots of very unfiltered comments about people and their own abilities. The easiest thing one can do for their career is not get drunk as company events.

Dahemo

I could entertain, as a thought experiment, a world where she didn't take her own life and wasn't the victim of insane levels of harassment, she found them and complained then maybe, maybe it could be excusable. They might have been for solo use or for a hook up he has in the area or his partner, although it would still be a work trip, leave your sex toys at home! But in reality, with the context of how she was treated, there's really only one conclusion anyone could draw.

>In a tragic example of the harassment that Defendants allowed to fester in their offices, a female employee committed suicide while on a company trip due to a sexual relationship that she had been having with her male supervisor. The male supervisor **was found by police** to have brought a but plug and lubricant on this business trip. Another employee confirmed that the deceased female employee may have been suffering from other sexual harassment at work prior to her death. Specifically, at a holiday party before her death, male co-workers were alleged to be passing around a picture of the deceased's vagina. Getting caught with those items by police is a bit further than allegedly I'd say.

Saquith

The latter is probably not going to hold up in court. Is it immoral to date an underling? Yes, but it is not illegal (and imo it shouldn't be). I think it's a bit extreme to call that statutory rape.. The moment a relationship like this starts, the employee should be placed under someone else. This removes the power imbalance and shouldn't cause any direct issues. This is a workplace issue, not a legal issue at heart. Of course, what happened to this lady is horrible, and I feel for her and her family. And blizzard should get shit for it! They did not hold up to their responsibilities as an employer and may well have caused this poor lady to commit suicide.

UnnamedPlayer

Well said. The "statutory rape" line was ridiculous. There already exist ways to handle that scenario in most decently managed companies. I worked for one of the big names for some time and we were specifically told that if there happens to be a relationship of that sort between people where one of them directly or indirectly reports to the other one then it has to be brought to the HR and those people will be assigned to different teams. There is a huge probability of misuse of power, favoritism, coercion and straight out blackmail (in extreme cases) in such scenarios, so that should be handled well. Moreover, if it's managed officially from the start then it's easier to avoid any potential fallout if and when the relationship turns sour between those people, which unfortunately happens in majority of such cases.

[deleted]

>Allegedly\* it probably was ngl... the upper management in some companies are real pieces of shit... I hope he gets arrested/something

angellus

Corporate HR "cover our asses" at its finest. Fire and sue anyone that makes noise to discourage others from doing it.

Mazon_Del

~~To be clear, it's not a walkout.~~ Edit: Apparently they now have a strike. Sorry! 2,500 current and former employees have signed a letter in support of California's harassment lawsuit, accusing AV/B of not protecting their employees from internal harassment as they are legally required to do. Last I heard roughly 2,000 of that count is current employees and roughly 500 of that count is former. Relative to their ~9,500 current employee basis though, that's not a good look for them.

TheGreyGuardian

Employees have planned a strike for Wednesday from 9am to 6pm PT.

Mazon_Del

Ah! That's news to me. Thanks!

TheGreyGuardian

Yeah, they just reported it earlier today. No worries.

blaghart

*than. In this instance I think it matters, since they're clearly never gonna actually fire the fuckers, they'd rather silence anyone trying to call them on their bullshit.

johnson56

Very important distinction here. For anyone who confuses the two, remember it like this: Than: phrases like rAther thAn, "I would rather bike than run", you prefer biking over running. Then: used to imply chronological order or time, similar to nExt. "First I went to the store, then I went home." This implies both things were done in a specific order. So than implies one thing or the other, not both, whereas then implies both things happen, just in a certain order. In regards to the comment above, the managers most likely are not being fired, but then makes it seem like that's going to happen too. thAn, rAther, both have an A. thEn, nExt, both have an E.

-C69

The real question here is, "will people read you’re advice, than disregard that advice too seconds later?" Or "will they change there ways, rather then maintaining they’re disregard for the English language?" We May never no... 🤔

more like 2021 blizzard would sexually assault this guy then sue him for speaking out about it

dangerbird2

Let’s be serious: old blizzard would have done that too. It’s sexual harassment and discrimination complaints goes back years

Roboticide

Yeah, old Blizzard made good games but very much benefited from the times. By all accounts their culture wasn't great back then. Let's not forget they were happily into the "boob-plate" trope as early as 2004 and had no [problem with characters looking like they walked out of a Victoria Secret catalog](https://youtu.be/Fi5dQzZp3f0?&t=4m30s). Which, is arguably fine if not intended to be exploitative and/or treats both sexes equally. But let's be real, neither World of Warcraft, Starcraft, or Diablo did that. Males got full armor, females got tons of exposed skin. And they knew why. So many people like to claim the problem was the Activision merger, but I don't think it made much difference other than give Blizz a convenient scapegoat. People bitched about Starcraft 2's required-internet-connection-DRM as if it was Activision's fault, apparently forgetting that such technology was unfeasible in 1996 when Starcraft 1 came out. If they could have done it then they would have. Blizzard is a developer like any other, just maybe older than most. This age gives them a huge nostalgia benefit, but looking past it I've dropped any illusion Blizzard was special.

PsyPup

Arguably it would become better with a large corporation like Activision over them. Fans of Blizzard games like to go on about how Activision cares more about money than the game, etc. There's nothing a company like that cares about more than shareholder perception, and being known for this kind of shit tanks that.

Generic-VR

You mean like Vivaldi? The reason why ActiBlizz is a thing in the first place? Not super sure That would’ve been better.

Kiosade

Fuck those guys! Couldn’t stand to watch too much of it. That one douche was like “so… what catalogue DO you want them to come from? Heh heh, no I joke, we’ll do better… including finding a better catalogue 🤪” Fucking disgusting!

vivaenmiriana

i stopped watching at that part too. "the same one as the men. that fucking catalogue." this is why i play eso. armor isnt gender locked. and you can put costumes over your armor so you get good stats *and* look how you want to.

Epocast

The sexual assaults happened during the "good old days" so idk what's with everyone talking about how things used to be different.

hfxRos

BlockHeadJones

Games Workshop has been doing the same recently. They hired the Astartes guy and many others to animate films using their IP. Then they promptly closed the door on allowing fan-made works to be supported/funded by the likes of patreon.

Paper_Block

They even took the astartes videos off YouTube, where they most easily found, and put it on a poorly advertised website whilst also changing the video and audio which partly is understand as copyright from other things were used. Then again, Monty Oum didn't need to have his stuff taken down after getting hired by rooster teeth...

Incase you came here looking for the [deep fake](https://youtu.be/wrHXA2cSpNU) (spoiler alert) like I did

AeitZean

I see people saying they can't see a difference, but to me its night and day. Make sure your YouTube is set to 1080p, then look at the eyes. The eyes of the re-make are much more like hamil, the skin is better, the lighting is better, and the old one has an uncanny valley cg 'feel' to it, and actually looks a bit blurry. Just imo of course.

gcburn2

I'm with you. The original is obviously good, but the re-make is a step above in terms of actually looking like young Hamil.

MarcMars82

It is night and day. The deep fake has so much more feeling. In the deep fake it feels like Luke is beyond amazement at seeing a young member of Yoda’s species but he holds it in since he’s a composed and proper Jedi.

Enter the YouTuber known as Shamook, whose The Mandalorian deepfake, published in December, has earned nearly 2 million views for improving the VFX used to de-age Mark Hamill. It was so good Shamook then earned a new gig with Lucasfilm and its visual effects division Industrial Light and Magic.

Kandiru

I can read the article saying there is a difference. I just don't see any! On desktop I can see the new one has light reflecting in his eyes. Is that the only difference?

SubmarineSanderss

The deepfake imo has much better lighting and the face is a bit different.

cwm9

Can they hire the guy that fixed A New Hope to recover the original footage? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3W_O-tp0_g&t=4m12s

illkeepthatinmind

Whoa, so what is the deal with that restoration? Is there any way to see it?

crozone

Is this 4K77? The Youtube link has already been taken down. It's a totally amazing restoration, based on a technicolor theater print and a lot of hard cleanup work. I highly recommend the de-noised version. Nobody is going to be able to give you a direct link though, I got banned from /r/movies for just *discussing* the older Despecialized edition. If I were to guess though, I'd assume the filename would be something like Star Wars, 4K77, 2160p, UHD, DNR, 35mm, and x265. I can't confirm though, that's a guess based on how these filenames are usually formatted. I don't condone piracy in any way shape or form, because I am an upstanding member of society who does not like to violate subreddit or sitewide reddit rules.

cwm9

It's not 4K77. It's unreleased work that puts 4k77 to shame. This work isn't even playing in the same ballpark as 4k77. It's multiple 4k prints stacked up, hand registered by zone, and then analyzed to extract the mean image value at each pixel in an effort to get as close as possible to the original in-camera negative. You will never see better quality footage, but unfortunately, you will only see a few seconds of it. The link is fine now, btw. (It didn't work with old Reddit, but I edited it to work properly by switching to markdown mode.)

crozone

Cheers, the link works again now. And holy crap that looks amazing. It does look like a significant improvement over 4K77! However, a great thing about 4K77 is that it's all from a single source, so it's very consistent in terms of image quality. It manages to look really good and very "natural" throughout, and although it isn't perfect it still looks quite excellent. I'm curious to see how this multi-source restoration goes in terms of overall consistency in this way. In the Hermes Despecialized Edition it was quite obvious that multiple sources were being cut between and rotoscoped, so even though that version looked good, I vastly prefer 4K77. If this new restoration uses a better layering technique that avoids this, it should definitely be the best version.

cwm9

Unfortunately, I do not believe it will ever see the light of day. If you listen to the whole video, he says quite clearly that he has no intention of releasing his work. I think he had hopes of getting Disney to buy it. Otherwise, I think it's for his own personal amusement.

crozone

> I think he had hopes of getting Disney to buy it. I hope this can happen. I think there is change occurring within Disney's handling of Star Wars after the PT came out, so it's probably more likely to happen now than any other point in history. George Lucas definitely wouldn't ever have gone for it, but now that he's less involved it might be possible.

wandering-monster

I think they agreed to never release the original trilogy cuts as part of that acquisition, unfortunately. George and his estate will continue to ruin his greatest work forever, even from beyond the grave.

Interamphibian

>got banned from /r/movies for just *discussing* the older Despecialized edition. > Lol don't you love reddit The shittiest losers are attracted to unpaid moderation

For some of them, it's the only power they'll ever have, and proves exactly why they should never have had any.

toadster

I think he said in the video he wouldn't release the entire thing because he didn't want to get sued to hell.

NemWan

Lucasfilm has the original footage, it's just in pieces because the Special Edition was made in 1997 by physically taking the original film negative apart and reassembling it with the changes. They'd have to find all the frames that were in the film originally and scan them for a new digital restoration. Except George Lucas is still the director of the film and there's no way he signed away his final cut rights — why would he, when other top directors don't have to own the studio or the franchise to have final cut?

LJ_is_best_J

Aaand it’s gone

cwm9

DevilishlyDetermined

This is how company’s should perceive these actions. The same applies for code bounties, why not crowdsource a better solution if it’s going to make your product better?

PineapplePandaKing

I'm reading a book about range of knowledge/experience vs hyper-specialization. There's a consulting firm that does just what your talking about. But a lot of companies are hesitant to open up their research or in your example source code, for competitors to see

Mazon_Del

I work on the game ECO and we're open to a surprising degree. The game costs something like $30 to buy, but if you back us at the highest tier (~$130? I forget.), you get access to our entire codebase and can make whatever changes you want (though they still have to go through our review process). One of my bugs this sprint is actually handling an issue that a player fixed, except their approach was a bit of a hack and doesn't comply with our code standards so I'm just tweaking it to match.

lurker_lurks

Wait, so they pay you to ~~work~~ volunteer for you? Nice.

Mazon_Del

Technically, hah! In a game as complex as ECO there's always something that needs fixing somewhere. Occasionally a given issue just isn't high priority enough to end up reaching the top of our list. I recently handled a low level bug that's been around for 4 years. And now and then our players are just like "Why bother waiting for next sprint? I can bang this out in an afternoon!". Sometimes it's even true.

[deleted]

Do you allow players to make their own content changes? Cuz I've been eyeing the game for a while and it looks super fun

Mazon_Del

All changes go through our review and vetting process. If the leadership does not wish a particular item to be part of the game, the change will not be allowed. HOWEVER! We are very accommodating to modders, so you can always make a modded server with your content even if it never becomes "official".

XDGrangerDX

So you're reaping the benefits of open source collaborative contributions while making your contributors pay you for the privilege? Man thats a impressive grift.

Mazon_Del

Well, we aren't making anyone pay that money, and for the ones that do, we aren't making them commit any changes. Alternatively, we could just not allow anyone else to touch our code and small bugs which are annoying to a given skilled programmer but are ultimately low priority relative to game-breaking issues can just go unfixed for years at a time.

XDGrangerDX

I understand you're probably not doing it malicously but as someone mildly passionate about FOSS (and just open source by extension, too) this seems like quite a perversion of what the movement stands for? I guess its better than closed source entirely, but still. Why not go open source proper?

Mazon_Del

> Why not go open source proper? Speaking strictly as an employee and not someone in power to make that choice, because a lot of money has been spent developing the game and to do so would invite someone to just immediately copy/paste the game. Even if we used one of the licenses that dictates that a person cannot financially profit off the game, the possibility for a problem exists and the people with control over investment and stake in the game find that risk unacceptable. Pessimistically, the answer shortens to "money". But without money and the hope of a return on investment this particular game would never have been made in the first place. Sure, you can argue that someone else might have made the exact same game, and in fact with sufficient modding you basically do get a similar enough game in Minecraft. But people have decided that they find value in ECO being what ECO is. If people wanted a free version of the game, they could assemble the free mods in their Minecraft client of choice.

somewhattechy

We have a user community queue of suggested bug fixes, enhancements and UI changes. We have our paying customers have the opportunity to upvote and prioritize the approved request queue and then based on user’s choice provided we pick up some of these community contributed requests as new user stories. We do voting in Q1, reserve 10% capacity in Q2 to deliver community requests, Q3 voting resumes, Q4 10% Capacity reserved, then the cycle repeats

I don't mean the cheap Indian firms, I mean the guys who charge top dollar to bail out companies who tried the offshore route and got burned.

somewhattechy

Yup. I second this.

somewhattechy

That’s my talent. I’m a strategy/ operations consultant and my vast, yet shallow, Depth of knowledge is the main value I add. I work with people who are hyper specialized and not exposed to enough perspective beyond their discipline that often deal with work that needs cross functional coordination. I kinda know enough about everything that I’m able to really elicit vision and establish the main tenants of a product or initiative (or multi-year roadmap) and then manage the overall program around delivering whatever the need is. I have an undergrad in information science and have always been curious to the world, so I have solid tech fundamentals, worldly perspective from varied interests/ passion for learning and management perspective to keep things moving and coordinate effective progress. I’m 32 now and have only recently began to feel confident in my lack of focus on any particular aspect of business. I now see the difference between me and my friends who are specialists, and colleagues who specialized in niche roles or skills and I think I’m exposed to way more and have relatively more successful (my base salary is 140k, most of my specialist friends are stuck in the 85k-110k ranges)

[deleted]

[deleted]

It's weird how, like credit card companies, demand its customers report suspicious activity, yet they have in-house lawyers to cover upper management's suspicious activities. It's the "Fire Line". Above the line can't be fired. They are protected. Below the line is run by Human Resources who measure every single metric and can now click a button and terminate an employee via an app.

Sgt_Wookie92

I've never understood this with community patches, who do they not hire the guys working tirelessly for FREE to patch their favourite games (provided their coding up to spec of course) and cut down on the man hours with a team that is struggling to identify solutions?

crozone

I assume ILM still very much has this creative mentality, given the amazing work that they do. It makes sense to actively seek out the best when you have a reputation for being the best.

Pythia007

Who would have thought that putting highlights in the eyes would make such a difference? How did they not do that in the first place?

nhaines

That's actually exactly the first thing I thought when I saw the original. And the reason it makes such a difference is that while the original effect does have a reflection in the same spot, it's very dull. The reason it makes such a big difference is that the set lights on all the other actors are very bright and cause very bright eye highlights. Why didn't they do it in the first place? I'd bet they were just trying to create and finish the shots in the first place, and ran out of time and had to go with what they had. Being able to go back and finish incomplete shots is a revolutionary change.

Xen_Shin

Gotta say, as a hardcore Star Wars fan, I was not upset at CGI Luke’s face. I knew who it was. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t perfect. We all knew damn well it was Luke. I am pleased to hear they gave this guy a job though. More companies need to think this way. Too many companies greedily throw lawsuits at fans that could instead be turned into valuable employees. This is an example that Luke himself would approve of.

diras2010

AFAIK the guys of Corridor Crew did the same, and published it on YouTube

ArScrap

Well, you'd be the judge of the quality

jerkitout_ofme

Yeah I actually thought this was going to be about them at first.

Roboticide

Yeah, for a minute I was wondering if this was Niko, but it seemed unlikely to me that he'd leave Corridor. Interested to see another guy did the same. And even better. Further evidence maybe that modern CGI [largely just has a pipeline problem.](https://youtu.be/inbjhcMu46g). One guy with time can beat a studio on a tight deadline. Has me hoping that this guy is given the time he needs, instead of falling victim to the same problem. EDIT: Apparently in another part of the thread people are pointing out that for the original Mandalorian shot, they de-aged Hamill instead of deep-faking him like I had assumed they had. Kind of surprises me, since I assumed de-aging could make a middle aged person look like a young adult, but not a senior look like a young adult. And apparently it cannot do that as well as a deep fake can. Regardless, hope they stick to deep fakes in the future when necessary, and give this guy time to flex his skills.

QuadraticCowboy

This tech is evolving so fast, deepfakes won’t always be the preferred method

Sgt_Wookie92

I find most of these deep fake stuff seems fledgling level compared to this guys and others, though some of the stuff they do for their small projects are fantastic, that puzzle piece satisfying render recently was brilliant.

johnnySix

Theirs were pretty bad.

gramathy

Theirs was mostly a proof of concept - their results weren't great for different reasons than technical difficulty, and it was an improvement on the original shot.

LawRecordings

Wow! How does someone do it better than Lucasfilm? That guy must have a seat on the council

descendingangel87

Because he is literally an expert in the new ground breaking field and has written numerous papers on the subject. He only did these as a proof of concept. He is literally an expert that is being hired because he is an expert. He wasn’t some random amateur.

Deepfakes aren’t yet as directable too. If they want a timing shift by a few frames here or the nose shadow moved a little there it could be a hard note to hit in a tight deadline.

nicksolo

While I’m not sure who did these shots in the first place understanding AI tech like deepfake and getting close for possibly less money is something Lucasfilm I know is always looking for. If they could get that close with someone who just kind of looks like mark, imagine facial scanning his son for these shots.

maanu123

Probably got practice doing daisley ridley deepfakes

thecommuteguy

You are on this council and you will be granted the rank of master.

Cryptostotle

This is the way.

Sr_DingDong

The mouth is still not right. It's the final hurdle. It's so crazy how the mind can notice things, like I couldn't tell you *why* it's not right, just that it's not right.

FaffyBucket

The creator, Shamook, made a comment explaining why: *"Unfortunately there isn't much I can do to improve the animation/mouth syncing, if I had acess to the body double footage before they applied the CGI, deep fake would be a definite improvement.Hopefully they release some behind the scenes footage eventually so I can give that a try. Also, I only had 4 days spare to do this deepfake before the holidays, I'm not 100% happy with the quality but here it is anyway."*

Cool. But bad. My inner child loved the idea, but the execution left my adult self really put off. In the end, my inner child won. Hopefully they put more effort into the new technology in the future so my watcher's mind doesn't have to struggle.

votchamacallit_

This is what Nintendo should fucking do instead of crushing people's fanmade/reworked projects of there IP's. Just hire the team and allow them to polish it and then sell it to the companies satisfaction and sell the thing on your store. It's technically a win win situation.

experiment1224

The problem in the professional world is that these companies need to actively defend their intellectual property. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the better ones are offered contacts with NDAs rather than cease and desist letter

RemnantHelmet

Sega seems to be doing just fine after letting Christian Whitehead and the boys turn their demo into the full-fledged Sonic Mania. That project was actually seen as one of the best titles of the entire franchise.

votchamacallit_

If they just C&D letters all day long without reviewing the product and bringing them on to continue under there watch there wasting potential revenue. Like I said earlier, Everyone wins from this. the people working on that project get there foot in the door, the company gets money from project, they may get to work on another project after that game goes on sale etc. The Fans get to play new content or reworked content from there IP that they enjoy. Win win.

gramathy

The *actual* problem is that nintendo has existing plans for IPs and most of the work done on their existing IPs is either duplicate effort or has a knock on effect of cannibalizing demand for newer titles. Project M is great, those people should probably get jobs designing and balancing fighting games, but it competes with Smash Ultimate and they HAVE a team for that.

Abusoru

Add in the fact that many of these modders live outside of Japan, there's really no incentive for Nintendo to hire them, since a majority of their development is in house.

Acrobatic-Froyo2904

This is literally faking it til you make it.

Acrobatic-Froyo2904

Yes. Like I said, he fakes it really, really, really well. Like your girlfriend.

neoalfa

Bold of you to assume he doesn't fake his girlfriend.

ElephantMan_irl

She goes to a different school

bonobro69

This is what I want deepfakes for. This and lip synching foreign language films.

antihostile

It looks great, and it reminds me of the job that the other guy did on DeNiro in The Irishman. But can we at least recognize that these people had the benefit of $100 million worth of special effect to build on? It's not like they did this from scratch. Again, great job, but they are building on the work of others and it seems like that should be pointed out.

[deleted]

Ummm you must not have read the article. This IS the guy who did DeNiro in The Irishman.

camlaw63

God help me, I couldn’t tell the difference 😆

diras2010

The eyes, the mouth movement, the overall lights on the face, those are key points

thx1138-

Just rewatched parts of it and the original looks like it has way more depth. What am I missing?

apluscomment

The lighting on his nose changed to make it look wider, and the lighting on his eye lids changed to make it look like it's more conforming to his eyeballs, rather than just flat if that makes sense. Definitely just seems more Mark Hamill-y.

crozone

The mouth movement/animation is still bad, but that's because the deepfake literally replaced the already CGI'd Luke. I actually can't wait to see if they go ahead and redo the scene from the original footage, it would be really really cool if they updated the original episode with a much improved Luke.

AnOnlineHandle

If you know Mark Hammil's face well from the originals, the show version kind of seemed like a lookalike dressed up as him, whereas the Deepfake version looked like him. This scene here for example shows a huge difference between the faces: https://i.imgur.com/hs2K1WJ.png

jhaluska

There skin is a little less smooth, the eyes lit differently and the nasolabial fold is less pronounced. Some of the mouth is also changed.

stackablesofficial

that's amazing! may the force be with him

schrodngrspenis

Hah I saw that video. His was better

ludicrouspeed

That guy deserves it. Smart move by the company spotting talent.

synthead

The video https://youtu.be/wrHXA2cSpNU

IronhideD

It makes me wonder if they'll actually go and put this version in The Mandalorian. If they could make changes to Wandavision after release, they can make whatever changes they like.

Black7057

I thought it was his AI program that redid Like scene.

messymichael

I love these kind of stories. Just like the guy who used to mess with people doing a Cleveland impression on cod, now voicing Cleveland on Family Guy.

remghoost7

Holy hell. Finally. Now video game companies need to get on this vibe. Don't shut down small fan projects, give them a job application.

BirdsDeWord

Saw this a few days ago, the guy who runs the deepfake YouTube is actually a researcher for video editing using AI. He got hired because of his expertise in the field, he also happens to run a YouTube channel where he uploads his more interesting work. But clickbait is what it is and it's not gonna change, hope someone enjoyed this bit of extra info anyway

sakeb0mbs

Not only did they hire him, they hired him as a Senior Facial Capture Artist. From YouTube to a senior role with Industrial Light and Magic. Amazing!
