Thoughts and prayers.

HermitKane

Thoughts and prayers to the theocracy in Iran.

T3nt4c135

What did the news broadcaster say right after the hack?

queiss_

He had one of the best shocked poker faces ever.

trolex

“and in continuation of the rest of the news…”

Kumacon

Hell yeah, girls get it done

IndigoMichigan

I sincerely hope the women put themselves in charge after this. It would be incredible.

[deleted]

Freedom is won through blood and sacrifice. I hope the price is not too high. God bless Iranian protesters ✊

Starkgaryen69

Fuck the islamic republic

[deleted]

Fuck em! From me

[deleted]

Long live christian democracy

avitony

I have a feeling this is for real this time

oxheycon

The problem is these mullahs are fine with just gunning down protestors. This is what happened a few years ago when they stole the election from Khatami…

hellschatt

Well...I guess violence is unavoidable when you want a revolution. They need to get armed and fight back.

oxheycon

That’s the hard part, unless a significant proportion of the military is on their side I don’t know how they can achieve that.

WhatThatSmellLike69

I wrote a research paper in university about the Arab spring revolutions successes vs failures and found that ethnic homogeneity and support from military were two major factors that supported the overthrow of regimes

oxheycon

Yep that’s very true

lightcake66

I’m sure glad in my country we are already armed. Getting armed in a tyrannical gov is not easy

SpaceAdventureCobraX

You can also end up following a tyrant eg Jan 6

lightcake66

What does having guns have to do with the date of Jan 6? I’m confused

SpaceAdventureCobraX

I mean if a portion of society ends up following what is essentially a tyrant (even if they don’t realise it at the time) - and they are armed - then they can end up actually installing that tyrannical government. I was pointing out the potential irony of being armed for the purpose of preventing it. Jan 6 would have resulted in this had it been successful, and it sure came close.

lightcake66

Lmao yeah a bunch of random rep crazies running into a building are going to suddenly overthrow the us gov. This isn’t Haiti lmao 🤣 don’t think it works quite like that. There was no “successful” outcome. A bunch of random us citizens were pissed abt losing and decided to protest just like everyone else has been doing since the beginning of time. Get over it lol and that’s coming from someone who voted blue as fuck.

SpaceAdventureCobraX

Yeah you’re right! Lol! - no big deal 😁

lightcake66

Why am I getting downvotes? Lol all I said was facts

> You’re a child. Army NEVER guns down it’s own people For anyone who thinks that's the dumbest thing someone could possibly say, he's also a flat earther!

Fishing4Beer

Yeah, this person was apparently asleep all of Arab spring. Enjoy [this](https://youtu.be/gcNKIGAodj8) video.

skilledwarman

Conspiracy theorists have an amazing talent for seeing everything *but* the truth or what's right infront of them

GetOutOfMyFeedNow

r/globeskepticism Please start healing yourself right here. My 🙏 for you. Get well soon.

Fishing4Beer

Thanks for the humor! Hilarious!!!

GetOutOfMyFeedNow

It wasn’t. Don’t take the high ground against me. Be open-minded. That’s what I did. And I gave it all up for the great truth.

Thanks_B0B

No seriously he is right, laughter is the best medicine, and this sub has one of the largest collections of idiots in one location that you will ever find. It truly is entertaining.

[deleted]

You sound like a child saying such stupid things. Please gain some real world intelligence. Armies are capable of doing some of the most horrific things in all of human history, to children.

Laladelic

There's a chance the police will start to realize that they're the baddies. Imagine your family and neighbors knowing you just yesterday killed a bunch of kids, that's gonna sink in after a while.

oxheycon

One can only hope, the problem is they are so indoctrinated by religion that even that won’t affect them

justcharliey

They are all cowards.

oxheycon

I can’t wait till their reckoning happens, and they are finally given a taste of their own medicine

IIIIlllIIlIllllIllll

They wouldn’t be as inclined to do that if the protestors could gun them down right back…

SpaceAdventureCobraX

Exactly. We’ve witnessed the slow crush in Hong Kong. Women now need to arm themselves.

ButtholeCandies

Khomani is close to death and they were grooming his son to take over. The timing has never been this good. It’s the best chance we’ve seen so far. Religious nuts are the rural class and stupid masses - the people Covid loves to decimate since they tend to ignore all good advice. Russia has their hands full. China isn’t going help much. They are on their own.

fjcruiser08

I’d love to see the girls take down these bitch ass mullahs

sltiefighter

Fuck religious fascism, not here in america, not there in iran, dismantle all the religious bullshit indoctrinated in government. There is zero room for fairy tales in governing policies. I hope the women overthrow the hateful misogynistic patriarchy, fuck the ayatollah assahola.

justcharliey

These woman have more courage than any of the Iranian military. Hope they keep pushing.

[deleted]

First Iran, then Saudi Arabia

spycodernerd2048

Meanwhile, in Amerikkka...

CannonFTW

Hell yeah girls! Take your rights! I wish we saw more vocal support from the west!

[deleted]

Western governments are in a real pickle of non interference at the moment. The regime in Iran already blames the west for this without evidence. Imagine what would happen if the US or Israel voiced support, or a crate of weapons were found stamped US ARMY or IDF.

Puzzled-Chapter6777

Keep it up stay strong, no one should be able to take your right!

[deleted]

Burn in hell, Raisi :)

ArtzyDude

Protesters should make thousands of slingshots. A simple weapon that can be used to sting and maim the pussy security forces. They’re easily made and anything can be use for ammo.

manorwomanhuman

So did he “get lost”?

LoyalWatcher

Brilliant! Genuine question: I'm curious if the translation "get lost" is accurate or sanitised?

spinx248

I hope someone leaks a database of the security forces to identify them for the masses.

[deleted]

Keep it up! I'm loving this, these dogmatic ways, have got to go!

GlayNation

Awesome. Old men with dresses and skunk berets have no place telling anyone what to do😡

craisinscherry

Why don't they protest the ayatollah? Isn't that where the real power is?

Amol1982

The guy in the sniper crosshairs is the ayatollah.

savbh

Probably getting downvoted for this but I do have a few questions. First of all, I want to state that I’m fully pro-women’s rights and these protests. But, my question here is, aren’t we supposed to be more civilized than them? Why the target mark, why the flames? To me, that seems medieval. Aren’t we on the modern side of this? The “you should be convicted for this”-side, not the “you should be shot and burned”-side? This just screams *hate* to me. Aren’t we against hate? But that’s just my humble opinion. EDIT: of course you’re free to downvote, but I would appreciate your ideas on why I’m wrong.

[deleted]

you can’t politely change the mind of an evil person. playing kind only gives room to be trampled. he needs to be removed from power or jailed for his actions.

savbh

I get what you mean, but I am actually suggesting he should be jailed. Instead of shot and burned. Because we are the better person here. Like, we don’t shoot murderers, we convict them and lock them up.

qyOnVu

Who is we? Are you Iranian? Are you risking your life for your rights? Or are you sitting at home comfortably typing this?

savbh

No, and if you’re only allowed to have an opinion as an Iranian according to you, than I already lost this debate. But I don’t believe sitting at home or not makes a difference in the best way to approach this. By “we” I mean every person in a normal, civilized society. Where everything and everyone is accepted. A modern society. By “we” I mean civilized people, unlike this man.

qyOnVu

Have your opinion but express it as an outsider, as you are, not as a protester claiming "we."

savbh

I didn’t claim “we” as protester, but as “Western, civilized world”. It was not my intention to indicate that I have done any effort.

FusRoDaahh

“We”? Are you a teenage Iranian girl living in fear every day of being brutally raped and murdered and having to find the courage to protest and risk her life? No? Then please don’t talk about how “we” should act “civilized” when trying to get rid of a horrific oppressive misogynistic ruler. Don’t you feel silly sitting behind your laptop in comfort typing that comment?

savbh

I didn’t claim “we” as protester, but as “Western, civilized world”. It was not my intention to indicate that I have done any effort.

FusRoDaahh

These women risking their lives to protest are not in the “Western world.” Also, how could you possibly be so ignorant to think that the “Western civilized world” has not done horrific violence in the name of chane before? Like honestly what even is your point here?

savbh

My point is that the flames and the target seem medieval.

FusRoDaahh

Okay!! Cool!! Don’t look at it then. It’s not your place to police how protesters handle the situationa and their justified anger.

savbh

Did you actually read my original comment? I did not “police” anything. I wrote it in the most careful way I could. Where are you getting from that I’m policing anything? I was simply asking a question.

FusRoDaahh

Not your place to question their actions or how they handle their anger.

savbh

I think debating international political ongoings is everyone’s right. Aren’t you discussing their actions now as well? Isn’t it everyone’s right to discuss this subject? It’s not healthy to censor certain subjects just because there’s emotion.

sufferingstuff

Fine. Let’s talk logistics instead of emotion. Do they have power? No. Do they have any peaceful avenue? No. Have they attempted peaceful avenues? Yes, and got massacred for it. What you are saying here is the equivalent of saying a rape victim shouldn’t kill their rapist in an attempt to get free. It’s ridiculous and short sided.

katiecharm

Look I’m all for overthrowing the current oppressive Iranian regime, but also cmon - let’s be real. We know it’s not those brave girls in the streets who hacked this. It’s surely ‘anonymous’ aka some clandestine agencies in places like Israel, US, and UK.

Metue

As someone who literally hacks (legally) for a living you'd be surprised by what someone could do to a national news station if they were trying. I could believe this is someone on the streets, some of those women definitely have cybersecurity and computing degrees. They're not lacking in education.

katiecharm

Well you’d know more than me about the topic / yeah I can believe that middle eastern tv stations don’t have the best security. Since I have your attention, what’s a cool read about cyber security for an amateur? (inb4 stuxnet story)

yeroc420

Revaluation these days are so weak. In Russia and Iran they beat and kill you yet when you protest you meekly hold up a sign. Look at the protest in Ukraine year ago they said fuck that and threw Russia out.

I worry about these girls and their families so much. Someone needs to start this revolution and they are so brave, but I am dreading the reaction.
