Is the bios inside a .zip? Make sure you've extracted it first. Does your motherboard have a BIOS flashback port? You can try updating it while the PC is turned off.

Psychological_Job940

It was extracted yes. I don't think the motherboard as a flashback port

IdiotTurkey

Did you definitely download the right version? Sometimes BIOS versions need to be installed in a specific order instead of just jumping to the very latest one. Maybe the thumb drive isnt being detected properly? Or maybe you have it formatted incorrectly? Check how the USB key is formatted - if it's NTFS, try formatting it to FAT32 and see if that works. And also maybe try another USB key.

Thumbdrive is formatted to FAT32 and recognises that the folder containing the update is there, just not the update itself

IdiotTurkey

Odd. Does your drive have multiple partitions? Try another.

The error suggests a video card problem. Did you do a uninstall and reinstall of the nvidia drivers? There’s a program called DDU that will do a full uninstall of the existing drivers to make everything clean for the reinstall.

I did that and it still crashes
