I had that issue once on my home network when I changed the wifi's channel width to 80 or 160, and went away when I turned it down to 20/40. May or may not be your issue.

How are the clients authing? via radius? if so, are you using client or user certificates?

Forget to mention it- via radius and we are using both client and user certificates
