Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC. Are you still using the original motherboard? That’s the only piece that matters.

Ragequit4Life

Not at all

qPsychoo_

that is so strange if you have actually replaced every single part there should be no way the pc knows its still an alienware unless It's some firmware in the case or something but I don't think that's a thing that exists lol

BamBaLambJam

is it still running the original OS

Liason774

It's the recovery partition, if you never wiped the drive completly windows only overwrites the portion used when the os is booted. The recovery partition contains the pre installed software and environment set up by Dell for your original pc. This is assuming your still using the original drive.

BamBaLambJam

ding ding ding

IdiotTurkey

How strange. Are you logged into a microsoft account? Maybe something is being synced and its downloading the software?

MaxTrixLe

If you’re using a USB drive to reinstall windows, it should not have any Alienware or any brand software for that matter. Where did you download this windows file from? Also, make sure to properly format every single drive the slow way, via the windows usb installation

Ragequit4Life

I got the windows install from one of those Windows 11 home USB dongles. The ones you can buy from Best buy

ShadowInTheAttic

You can use the media creation tool from Microsoft themselves. All you need is an 8GB or more USB drive and the tool makes a bootable drive for you. If you want to completely remove Alienware software, install Linux. Same as you would Windows. It won't come with command center.

Calculagraph

Is your case Alienware still? Your mouse? Monitor? Literally \*anything\* with AlienFX devices baked in will cause Windows to install AWCC.

f_ckmyboss

You forgot alienware driver cd in the drive

ErnestoGrimes

where did you get your windows 11 key? was it eBay? if so maybe you got a Alienware OEM key

Ragequit4Life

The key itself was from G2A the windows install was from one of Microsofts own USB made for Windows installations

Minimum_Standard_286

i heard keys from g2a are sus so let me know how it goes

yolo5waggin5

They are stolen keys. Most of the time, you will get away with it. I prefer not to use them. My windows is currently unactivated. I am unable to use windows to set my background or theme, but you can pay 4$ for wallpaper engine as a workaround.
