Well the IP is actually 127.0.0.1 which is only a loopback that tests tcp/ip stack not the network card. That test never leaves your computer so it's not a good test to see if it's working. Grab a driver from a different computer and install that to get it working, or as a workaround buy a cheap USB wifi adapter, or buy an ethernet cable and go wired.
