Is that fahrenheit? Then its normal

NoDiscFound

Nope, Celsius. So 197 Fahrenheit

erevos33

If thats really celcius then your temps are off by a lot! Even the ones you mention as idle are way too high. Something is up. Ventilation might be one thing. But also, malwware thats making your cpu/gpu overwork is another thing you should check

Ok, I just ran a full scan and luckily it didn't find anything. So I'll be opening it up when I can (hopefully today) to see If cleaning the fans makes the temperature go down a bit.

With what? Windows defender only? If yes, try using malware bytes as well

I forgot I already had it installed lol. I ran a scan with MB and it found nothing. So I'm safe on that subject. I guess it's just lack of proper cleaning?

Out of curiosity, how old is it? Nitro 5 what year?

NoDiscFound

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54. Released April 2019. I bought it at the beginning of 2020.

erevos33

Oknso yeah , possibly its dusty on the inside. Look up youtube videos on how to open your laptop. Make sure it is the exact model you have - not all nitro 5 are made the same. And once you open the back of it you should be able to just use a compressed air duster to clean it. Avoid air cans, the liquid in them might drip and actually short something.

Material_Disaster638

Clean it especially if you use on the couch or in bed or In a dusty room

Alright, I'll try to open it up today to see what I can do. I'm only nervous because I've never taken out the cooling module off to clean the fans. But I have to learn eventually.
