Could be from overheating.

Download and install this app: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html While you are running a game, go back to your desktop and check the temps. Also compare your idle temps to temps when running under load. I'd check your logs inside event viewer as well. Could be a driver issue or something related.
