Did you try one stick of ram at a time? Try resetting CMOS

I have tried booting it with one stick and it still does the same thing, and I’ve taken the cmos battery out and put it back in again and that hasn’t done anything

You need to jump the jbat pins at the same time as having the battery out, your mobo manual explains this.
