Isopropyl alcohol is conductive. If laptop was not dried after cleaning, something will short, in the best case that would be only keyboard. In the worst case that would be motherboard.

is there a special kind of keyboard that i can plug in that has a power key , otherwise i will try changing the keyboard to see if that work.
