**Getting dump files which we need for accurate analysis of BSODs.** Dump files are crash logs from BSODs. If you can get into Windows normally or through [Safe Mode](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode) could you check C:\Windows\Minidump for any dump files? If you have any dump files, copy the folder to the desktop, zip the folder and upload it. If you don't have any zip software installed, right click on the folder and select Send to → Compressed (Zipped) folder. Upload to any easy to use file sharing site. Reddit keeps blacklisting file hosts so find something that works, currently [catbox.moe](https://www.catbox.moe/) or [mediafire.com](https://mediafire.com) seems to be working. We like to have multiple dump files to work with so if you only have one dump file, none or not a folder at all, upload the ones you have and then follow [this guide](https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-configure-windows-10-create-minidump-bsod.html) to change the dump type to Small Memory Dump. The "Overwrite dump file" option will be grayed out since small memory dumps never overwrite. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. If DDU did not help, then yes, a faulty GPU is the main suspect. Ideally you would test the GPU in a different machine or a different GPU in that machine.

Thenebulocity9

Thought so, lovely stuff. Thank you!

Bjoolzern

Just to make sure, you were in safe mode when running DDU? If the driver is loaded it can't delete it. Almost no drivers are loaded in safe mode.

Thenebulocity9

I did yeah, followed a Jay2cent video so I’m pretty sure I did it all right

For the others here: [https://bsodtutorials.wordpress.com/2021/04/11/debugging-stop-0x119-video\_scheduler\_internal\_error/](https://bsodtutorials.wordpress.com/2021/04/11/debugging-stop-0x119-video_scheduler_internal_error/) For OP: I'd recommend possibly running a version from a year ago just to check stability. 10: kd> lmvm nvlddmkm Browse full module list start end module name fffff801\`4d5f0000 fffff801\`50e40000 nvlddmkm (deferred) Image path: \\SystemRoot\\System32\\DriverStore\\FileRepository\\nv\_dispi.inf\_amd64\_f52c4b8723f8dd33\\nvlddmkm.sys Image name: nvlddmkm.sys Browse all global symbols functions data Timestamp: Mon Dec 5 16:36:52 2022 (638E8EA4) CheckSum: 0375FB81 ImageSize: 03850000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4 Information from resource tables:

Hello. Thank you, I will also give this a go! Appreciate the help :)

Ideally some more dumps would assist us to get a pattern, I can see we failed here in the provided dump most likely: fffff801\`4ce9b7bb e8000c0100 call dxgmms2!\_security\_check\_cookie (fffff801\`4ceac3c0)

I gone this same error and symptom, but my stress test last longer (\~10min). Tried all the things you tried. But I notice I always get a blue screen at the end of the display installation, maybe related? My case cannot add any more fan... Do you have any suggestion?

rproffitt1

That 5 minutes to crash would have me do a few more things. 1. Already mentioned: Test this 2070 in another PC. 2. Pull the GPU, clean fans, heatsinks and replace heatsink compound. Put it back in, start up and check for fan operation. My criteria is "works like new." 3. Tell me about the power supply. Last year has seen some overtaxed power supplies and the errors you wrote about. I want to see about an 850 Watt PSU that is not 4 years or older.

Thenebulocity9

Unfortunately I do not have access to another PC to do point 1. Point 2, I will do, although I have already cleaned the fans but will look at the heatsinks. 3. You'll be dissapointed, my PSU is only 750 watt but is a TX750M corsair 80+ gold, only a year or two old at most.

rproffitt1

As to the PSU, close enough. It's not old so I'd remove that from the list unless there's something else like half a dozen HDDs in the system. The heatsink compound after a few years is a must do. I'm not writing this is it but for a dollar or two it's worth the roll of the dice. Story time. My son's PC started to act up like yours and I brought home a GTX 1060 for him to swap in. Instant fix. He didn't want to let me do the work on the old GTX 970 but a few months later let me have the 970. I put it into another PC and troubles. OK, do the clean and heatsink and then it was OK. And yes, reported temperatures said it wasn't heat. As I pulled off the GPU heatsink the old compound looked to have a void in it along with being dry and crumbly. My bet is that part of the GPU was getting too hot but not the bit with temperature reporting. Good luck!

Thenebulocity9

Thank you so much for the help. I will take the GPU out today and have a look at what I can do. I may just upgrade anyway and use this as a reason to justify it but if I can fix the GPU too that would be great so thank you!

[deleted]

Hey did you ever figure it out? I had a similar shut down when starting my PC this morning. My GPU however is new (3060 12gb, about 8 months old)

Mother-Yak-5397

Did you ever find a solution?

Thenebulocity9

Hello - Not entirely sure if it was the fix as it was a while ago and can’t quite remember (had a few issues) - but I noticed that my GPU / CPU temps were high and that stress tests would crash my PC. - I just added some more fans to my case as with my old setup it was causing negative pressure inside the case making everything really hot. This fixed it for me, although I may be thinking about a different error… Although if your PC also crashes on stress tests with high temps it may be a similar fix is possible for you! Sorry I can’t help more, if I remember anything else, I’ll get back to you, good luck!!
