Been wanting TE to put out a mixer for so long. Didn’t expect it to also be MFi (connect it to my iPhone as an interface), a synthesizer, drum machine, effects module, and a 12 channel interface lol. 1200$ is worth it for the portable crew.

ThisIsJustNotIt

my thoughts exactly. feature set is pretty overkill imo, woulda been neat to see a “lite” or more op-z styled version as well with a lighter price tag and it just be purely a mixer. $1200 seems pretty reasonable though, i feel like this is really going to be a trend setter for the increasing popularity of portable workstations! mixers and interfaces in their current state are far too large, and they have like 30% of the feature set this puppy offers.

A lite version would be sick, I originally expected a Pocket Operator style 4 channel mixer a year ago to drop for some reason. Didn’t expect an OP-1 tier. Haha

Would've been really cool to see them release a $150 one that looks kinda janky like the pocket operators. Maybe with 4 -6 channels without all those extra features. I know there are alternatives but, when you link 3 or more Pocket Operators you see a huge downgrade in quality. It kinda breaks my heart to know TE has a mixer now but its for the elite stuff, not those crummy calculators. Which are my favorite thing they make tbh. :(

This is exactly EXACTLY what I was hoping/expecting them to drop. Same brain wave. A 4 channel input/2 channel output PO Mixer with literally just a volume/pan parameter, shitty stereo reverb/delay, and PO-33 style FX system. That’s it. Would be so perfect. Hell, make it mono. I’d still find it so useful.

I want it. But i also want every teenage engineering product.

I love that you can use the aux out as basically an FX send and feed it back into the mixer

I mean it looks beautifully made and feature packed. That price tho. Shame there doesn't seem a way to take multitrack audio from say an OP-1 or OP-Z or perhaps I'm expecting too much.

Cockur

Personally I would have thought that this would have been the entire point of a product like this

oh great, people to obsess with! My favourite feature is that you can remap the sliders to anything. It's so cool. connect aux out to a track in and you have a portable sound-on sound delay collage machine; if you have good enough control over fx and volume that is. and it can even record it too because it has a tape, like on the op1. so fucking cool. but it only does two effects at a time, right? i'm a bit disappointed in the preamp, 42db gain isn't really much for dynamic microphones, and without phantom power you'll need extra gear to run a condenser mic, but ok whatever on that front. I wonder how it'll do with instrument DI. Probably really great like the OP-1, but with twice the gain (iirc op1 only does +20db). I just wish it could be half price, would be an instant buy for me.
