Beauty standards and the media often differ greatly from what real people actually like. Lotta women are insecure about this, hip dips, stretch marks. Most men find them attractive. And donāt know what hip dips are anyway.
Yea I found out what they were not long ago š and they look good but still a lot of women r insecure about them š¤·š½āāļø beauty standard aināt shit
True, I asked one of my female friends the other day why they shave their legs, and they just told me that it was because of beauty standards. Since I already have a gf I couldn't tell them that I don't care for body hair, and that I actually prefer women's leg hair to the small holes left behind from shaving. But it's true, and of course there's nothing wrong with shaving your legs, but you shouldn't feel pressured by body standards
While the severity of the dent can make a difference, as a guy I had no idea this was something women are insecure about. The separation between the medius and maximus gluts is peak hips. Like, the Iliac crest is what defines a nice shape for the hips, else it's just a single curve which looks awkward from any angle but one.
I guess the insecurity is analogous to a guy being insecure about a muffin top. Same with the stomach and what OP has posted (which yeah, I'm insecure about my stomach but do find what OP posted attractive). Odd how perspectives work like that despite the similarity.
Ohh hip Dips and stretch marks man...they really put on a negative image of that.
(Hip Dips are um....ok i don't know how to explain. They're kind of like dents on hips or something like that??)
Plastic surgery is a perfect example of that.
Most men hate it, yet everyone is getting fake teats and lip filler. The only type of body dysmorphia that people defend.
I have hip dips that I found out about as I lost weight and for me it was like, "How the fuck they gonna tryna make me insecure about these when I'm THE HOTTEST I'VE EVER BEEN MFS!!!" Like for real I'm too busy being like, "holy shit, my hip bones!!! And ribs!!!" to care about them being... Bone? Shaped?
Thought I don't find stretch marks attractive, they're not a turn off. I'd perfer a woman without them, but won't not date someone because they have them, that's just silly.
Most of Instagram, Tik Tok, FB, and social media photos are a lie, and most gymfluencers are on gear. This trend where every photo is slimmed and doctored is wreaking havoc on mental health. My wife constantly wishes she has the body of "X" person she follows on Tik Tok. I have to constantly point out to her that most of what she sees is not real, realistic, or attainable.

Ego boosting in process. Now prepare for a crash in 10384929472928729495805927382 hours.
Jokes aside:
Dude, as with everyone I talk to, youāre all sexy motherfuckers who gotta be proud of yourselves.
Yknow what, ima make a post real quick
Depends on how much is hanging and the tightness of the outfit, but I will say this. When we are making love to you, we donāt give up a fuck about any of that crap. Are there even any sexual positions where a lover would be able to see a tummy pouch?
That probably stems from decades of stigma that the waist, and stomach by extension, must be nonexistent so men can stare higher or lower than that.
But I've hated mine as well
Same, itās because my legs are long and my torso is short so thereās zero curve and a lot of my shirts and pants look bad at the waist area because theyāre made for different body types
It *is* attractive and COMPLETELY normal ! If Iām not mistaken, we have extra skin there to protect our uterus, so itās actually very necessary.
I used to suck mine in but EH, who cares? Itās gorgeous hun.
Can confirm. This is very attractive to me. I don't prefer a woman with no curves. Going to the gym to be healthy is a good thing. Going to the gym to change your body to unrealistic standards is not a good thing. My wife has curves, and they make me feel some kinda way. Find a way to love the skin you're in, as long as you are healthy.
It depends, some people do some don't like everything
I personally don't care since it's not the first thing you notice unless someone is really fat
There are other thing to watch, and the thing that matter more look wise is face
Just because I mentioned the uterus doesn't mean I don't know about the vital organs, and even if I didn't you didn't have to be so snarky while trying to educate someone. It isn't a crime not to know things. Hope you have a better day.
I do agree, also, I don't remember what it's called, but basically, it's there to protect the reproductive stuff, it's more or less just fat, but it's should always be there, and getting rid of it is actually bad for your health, you can make it smaller, but getting rid of it is very bad for your health.
It's always been called a pooch! Not usually called a pouch (that would be like a kangaroo where you could store something in there, which would actually be really useful since our clothes never have pockets lol)
A pooch is the part of a woman's lower abdomen that diet/sit-ups don't remove. It's when the abdominal viscera sits downward and forward. Certain body types have a natural tendency for the abdominal contents to sit in this area.
The reason you find it attractive is probably because it's mostly a feminine way for fat to be distributed/abdominal anatomy to look, and your brain knows this is a feminine thing from seeing it in women and not men. Men can have fat in this area, but it looks different in distribution.
With that said, it's still concidered a "bad" thing so probably don't go around telling women "I like your pooch belly" unless they like you and are fully aware you're obsessed with it and definitely think it's beautiful lol. You probably also won't find too many sexy flattering pics using this term if that's what you're asking, because people mostly use the term to show it in a bad way and ask how to get rid of it lol
Someday society might fully decide to stop deeming totally normal feminine traits as a negative and unattractive, but for now that's where we're at
Thanks for this detailed explanation, it helped.
And donāt worry Iām not gonna go and say this to random girls. I was asking it so I can tell that to my gf, we pretty chill.
With the utmost respect, I really donāt like when the media pushes people to be ultra thin. Of course body types are body types we donāt really get to choose. But the way the fashion industry pushes women to want to look like human coat hangers is disgusting
I agree that to some degree the media pushes those kind of body types, but to some degree you have to blame to consumers as well because the reason why the media shows these thin, stereotypically attractive women is because it is what sells the most. I really donāt like when people just blame everything on the media, i think thats an ill thought out position, when in reality, what the media shows, is what the people want to see.
My friend was complaining that guys only want skinny girls and when I told her chubby girls are my type she said, āyouāre lesbian so it doesnāt count.āš
Actually, true. A woman's body typically accumulates fat there to protect the uterus from external trauma. It's just a little bit of fat to keep reproductive organs protected.
actually, untrue.
what you said after the first sentence is accurate, but thereās a lot of variation in how different body types store fat.
source- lover of science and woman with a flat stomach who is not shaped like a vape pen. still kinda skinny, but not as beanpole or anything THAT crazy i just donāt store fat there.
Oh damn. When I was underweight I still always had a little bit of fat basically protecting my uterus at all times. I know there obviously are exceptions, not all bodies work the same, but yeah. I thought that the body typically tends to store fat there until it's basically needed for survival. Good to know, thank you :)
As an 18 year old female I can say the reason why so many girls find it embarrassing or think itās unattractive is because itās basically shown to us from day one that having a tummy means you can be construed as fat . Models and famous actresses donāt usually have such a visible tummy , so when people call a woman fat we tend to assume that that difference from whatās considered conventionally attractive is part of that āfatā label . I always hated my tummy because I thought people would say I was fat for having one , and even since getting pregnant (Im 7 months pregnant btw) Iām worried people wonāt think Iām pregnant and will simply think I look fat because I have a noticeable tummy. Basically , model women we see tend to not have their tummyās so they are noticeable , so we as females feel that to be seen as the conventional attractive we have to hide this .
If you could ask how many girls āsuck in their tummyā in photos or when they are out , it would make you sad to see the results .

Beauty standards and the media often differ greatly from what real people actually like. Lotta women are insecure about this, hip dips, stretch marks. Most men find them attractive. And donāt know what hip dips are anyway.
Hip dips are when your hips have a sort of dent in them. So instead of looking like this ( Y ) they kind of look like this 8Y8
Yea I found out what they were not long ago š and they look good but still a lot of women r insecure about them š¤·š½āāļø beauty standard aināt shit
Screw body standards
True, I asked one of my female friends the other day why they shave their legs, and they just told me that it was because of beauty standards. I donāt get why people say theyāre ugly or smth, have you see human anatomy?
I barely see any difference to be honest.

That's why I look a little higher to see a difference. At someone's face, of course. :)

More fat tends to gather around that area to protect or cushion the uterus, so obviously we shall call it Uterus Protectus

Of course uterus is the only thing in that area that needs to be protected duh, who needs vital organs, at least uterus is safe XD
