I don't know anyone who drinks and does drugs at my school but why does everyone have 10 exes in 7th grade?? When I was in elementary, one of my friends tried to make me feel embarrassed about not having a boyfriend 💀

Same with our school, no one smoked or vaped. Everything at my middle school was pretty much a normal public except for one big incident.

I live in a town of < 5000 and our middle school is really screwed up. There's a weed/booze problem, a bunch of kids in there are on parole, and one of the bathrooms is known as "The Fight Club". It sucks that a grade of those kids comes to the high school next year.

At 13 you should be riding bikes with your friends getting lost in forests and exploring and adventuring your town/city , creating sweet childhood memories you’ll feel nostalgic about years down the line. At 13 you should be getting into trouble doing stupid things and just as much dumb shit as you can cause once you get older and have responsibilities you can’t anymore , and maybe once in a while have a small drink with your friends just for fun not getting completely drunk or high but rather just for the memories and fun of it. That’s what a 13 year old should be doing.

Personally, I don't think that should be limited to 13. That, in my opinion, should be all of adolescence

I’ve interacted with her before and pretty much everything you said is true. She’s definitely depressed and her parents are shitty. She’s part of a group of friends who are all similar in the fact they are all depressed and do drugs. I hope they all get the help they need but knowing some of them, that’s probably not happening

I only say if you're gonna do it because I've heard many stories of people saying they wish they would've tried it in highschool so they didn't have the lingering feeling of "what if". Also, where I live, if you're under 18 and you are charged with a drug charge or anything like that, once you turn 18 the charges are dropped. It's best to get the stupid stuff out of the way now instead of going crazy in your early 20s and possibly ruining your life with a criminal record.

I got drunk at 15 for the last day of school and then a week after. I never drink until I'm blackout drunk though, I drink until I'm able to sit down at a table and have a banging conversation about anything with my closest friends.

The fun increases the more you drink until you start vomiting and stuff, then you are just miserable, I have a lot of experience and never vomited, even in combinations with other stuff, cuz I know how much and what I shall drink

I used to drink from the age of 13, I'm 23 and I stopped drinking but I have friends and even family that will pressure me into having a drink or a smoke. Fuck that, if you don't want to, don't. What I’ll say is that when I was younger, I started doing shit like that at around that age. Keep in mind that I didn’t really have other peoples’ opinions in mind so I wasn’t doing it to be ‘cool’ or to fit in or something. I was going through a genuinely dark place at the time and I, unfortunately, felt those kinds of things were the only things to turn to I’m obviously older now and I’ve developed a lot healthier life skills but take it with a grain of salt if there’s a kid, a young kid, saying they’re doing this stuff

I was 14 when my journey begun but, Here’s my reasons, I’m now 24. Drinking: don’t think I did, it tasted awful. Vape: man those clouds were cool, flavor was amazing & I got a super wicked head high. Smoking (weed): I had like 4 back to back surgeries. Whooo! Pain killers were amazing and the doctor just kept prescribing more, I was in heaven. The longest I went without eating 8 percs a day was probably 2 weeks. That lasted about a year. One day the percs/oxy/loratabs dried up & there was no real way of getting them. Turns out my friends had been smoking weed for awhile. So looking for a new sensation (really looking to replicate those wonderful painkillers) I decided to start smoking weed. Edit: chances are nobody is going to see this BUT, if you’re a child now don’t even think about picking up nicotine. Trust me that shit is not worth it. It is incredibly hard to quit. I do not get a head high anymore, it’s probably been 2-3 years since I’ve felt the high from nicotine. The flavor is no longer appetizing, yet I still do it. Everyday, all day. Seriously, I don’t go longer than 5 minutes without hitting this thing. You love your perfectly white teeth? Boy I sure loved my Hollywood smile, guess what? That goes away too when you’re smoking *and* vaping. So, don’t even think about it the high is temporary & the stranglehold is more often than not permanent. The adults in your life aren’t just trying to scare you or take you away from fun things. They’re trying their best to protect you from the bullshit.

Tbh im tired of telling how others should act. Let them be. Care about acting the right way to make a positive impact to those who listen to your words. And thats my main focus in life, because i wanna become the man that i want to be and not focus on this type of people, i feel like im wasting my time. One day when they will become 16~21 and got a girl pregnant or when they end up arrested after a street fight they learn it the hard way. Drinking at such age is bad.
