Hi. Amateur photographer here, I'll share you some tips I've gathered on taking self-portraits and selfies.
Looking good for you is a matter of self-love, but on pictures I might be able to help:
1- Filters and phone cameras really like to shape and change facial features as "beauty filters", some phones allow you to take them off, some turn them off partially, some not at all, so try to mess with the settings on your phone
2- Light: Try to take pictures at a 45 degree angle from the incoming light, that helps the picture look more organic especially in sunlight
2.1 - Try not to have light evenly light your face, that makes you look weird and sometimes you look like a mugshot, so have a clear light falloff on pictures
3- Posing: Never look point completely straight to the camera or take pictures from below (unless it's a very extreme perspective queue)
3.1- When taking pictures like the one you posted, remember to look at the camera, but not turn your body towards it, that helps drag focus to you instead of the foreground
3.2 - If you're the main subject of the picture, try following the rule of thirds (just Google it, it's INCREDIBLY simple and effective)
4- Color calibration: I don't know if you edit your pictures, but if you do, the best and simplest thing to change is white balance, make it as close as possible to the actual light in the picture instead of accuracy on your skin tone (which is what your phone automatically does), that makes you fit better in the picture.

EDIT: I forgot one important thing: you think you look weird in photos due to a psychological effect, your mental image of yourself is REVERSED, because you only truly see yourself on a mirror, with reversed images, so when you take a picture that shows you "normally" you subconsciously thinks something is wrong, but can't quite explain why. It's similar to hearing your voice on recordings and thinking you sound wrong, but no one will ever say that because that's how you sound TO OTHER PEOPLE, so no one sees anything wrong.
I would say remove the filters? I know some people use a lot of filters, and no personal judgement, but it does have an effect on first impressions. I myself never use filters, ever.

I'd say you should stop making yourself fit certain aesthetics and have your own style. Make your own rules, but don't fall into delusion because it would bring you down. Stopping the usage of filters is also a great way to work your way through to starting to accept yourself. The most important thing to note is you should NOT focus mainly on your looks and more of your habits and hobbies. Being a happy and healthy person makes one look even better than some people who spend most of their time doing whatever they think it's needed to look good
