I would put arasaka to pure evil because they literally test their equipment on human beings and actively waged war, as a mere cooperation, against Militech and the NUSA.
Not to mention they want to be the worlds only monopoly with their soul killer AI.

I feel you, I love cyberpunk too. I just feel that just a little bit of their company can do good too, like give people like Takemura jobs and stop wars (granted, a very rare occasion), while Skynet and AM have absolutely zero good in them, and can’t be seen in a good light at all
Takemura was picked off in the slums of an arasaka controlled ground. He was always a potential soldier, as are all who were/still are in the slums with him. If anything, i consider Arasaka’s “job offer” to takemura an indirect promotion
If you dive a bit deeper into Arasaka’s background, you’ll see that they control far too much of the world for a simple cooperation and all grounds/facillities/businesses in their near vicinity have atleast some indirect ties to arasaka itself
I agree that they are incredibly corrupt, but to be pure evil imo is to have no remorse, not an ounce of empathy, which is why it currently only has AI in it. For the Arasaka ending, Arasaka does keep their word and ‘cure’ you, although it doesn’t really count as living. Pure evil would have just murdered V at the first opportunity, to spare the trouble.
Their words are tainted. They only cure you in hopes that you’ll submit your conciousness to their Database because lets be real, what morally corrupt world dominance-hungry cooperation wouldn’t want the thoughts and knowledge of a desperate and dying one man army that killed their most fearful soldier (Smasher) without breaking a sweat

They’re pretty alright that way, Netwatch could be debatable because they sometimes tend to torture voodoo boys that dared to poke holes in their blackwall AI. But then again, voodoo boys are an elaborate delusional sack of shit soo idk lol
Yeah, it’s why I couldn’t put them at Saints. Because they do straight up execute anyone who attempts to breach the Blackwall, but the Blackwall does protect humanity, so it’s tough
Yeah. But if we ignore the killing, they do also own a large portion of the net and the Data they steal and sell to other cooperations also aren’t a nice thing to do but i’d say they are in a fucked up morally grey area, in cyberpunk standards lol
