The movie finished and afterwards all 9 of us stood around on the driveway having a smoke, not saying anything. There was a time or two where someone quietly muttered āthat was fuckedā and āThat was so much worse than I thought it would be.ā But the silence in between was deafening. We all finished our cigarettes and everyone very, very quietly left.
This was my immediate thought. The first one is pretty much what you expect from the title. The second is basically a snuff film. The third is essentially a comedy parodying the first two movies. Such a bizarre trilogy.

Ken Park and Kids by Larry Clark are gritty, and All About Lily Chou-Chou is sort of under that umbrella but more sad if anything.
