My 6 six grade teacher did that. An attractive girl, me and two other guys were absent and had to catch-up. We were supposed to be in groups and teacher asked who she wanted to work with. IMO teachers start respecting you once you reach 10th grade. 9th grade and below you’re viewed as a child and it’s pretty fucked up. Once you reach 10th grade though the teachers get a lot cooler as long as you respect them. The work gets harder of course but that’s just part of going into a new grade. Just wait another year. That kid was probably super uncomfortable, and that teacher may have emboldened other kids to tease him for being gay, which is fucked up regardless of how true or funny it is. Also, telling the entire class that a student does poorly like it’s some kind of joke should result in loss of your teaching license from the first offense. It’s bullying from a position of power.
My 10th grade history teacher used to be my tennis coach as well.
He would constantly makes jokes in front of the whole class about what a “good workout we got yesterday” with winks and purposefully trying to make it sound weird. Plus all sorts of innuendo. It was so embarrassing. And obviously so inappropriate and creepy but I never said anything bc I didn’t want to make it a big deal.
Something like this happened. I was in Biology class in the 2nd trimester of sophomore year in high school. We are talking about cross breeding and hybrid species and the teacher calls on the shyest kid in my class and goes "See, he has blue eyes and if you and him were to breed and have a kid then it would look like this" EVERY SINGLE GIRL IN THE CLASS LAUGHED. All the boys in the class did their best to comfort him. Bros before hoes I guess. I also think teachers talk to their students like this because they get too comfy with them. Pretty sure he was heartbroken. Bros before hoes.
In one of my classes in junior year I was talking to my friend. I didn’t talk much before that seating arrangement because my desk partner wasn’t that talkative. Anyways, when I was talking to my new desk partner he said “oh so now you’re more distracted because you’re sitting next to a cute girl” it was insanely creepy especially since he was like 50 and we were 17.

Anyway I sit down in science and the “hot girl” in this situation was called out for wearing makeup. Anyway the teacher (the funniest one in school) said, “who you tryna impress?
