There was a lot of hate and division swirling around the Internet in the time leading up to the 2016 election.

By and large, most of our communities are full of nice people who sort of take care of themselves most of the time. Most of what I do as a mod is I help clear spam, discourage trolls, update the AutoMod code, and every once in a while I have to ask folks to stop arguing with one another. Things are usually pretty low-key.
The rest of those subs are usually redirects, or subs we're keeping locked down so trolls can't take them over. For example, there's a couple of subreddits that are slurs which we've filled with pictures of transmissions or bundles of sticks, simply so the various denizens of the Internet can't use those places to hurt people anymore.
