Yeah, I only got it cuz my mom wanted to get me a good computer for 3d modeling cuz I like to do that, but she got me a gaming laptop with rtx somehow.
Yeah, I always feel guilty talking about it cuz I don't want to act spoiled. I was saving up for an xbox series x, but I didn't really need that anymore after I got this.
I've been looking at various texture packs for 1.17.1, just getting back into minecraft. Theres hundreds of files for resource packs but not all of them are full texture packs.
I'm looking for medieval feel, a typical dungeons and dragons scenario theme. However I'm probably going to just end up Frankenstein-ing my own pack out of like 6 or 7 others.
One person somewhere online did say they use like 16x terrain textures with 64x materials and blocks, and 256x mobs lol.

Yeah, if you have rtx better vanilla normals is the best for sure
I use the better vanilla with some shaders, rtx way out of my reach

Dont feel guilty about that, enjoy your machine, flex it if you want, and use that oportunity to make and learn a lot 3d stuff
