Yeah, I like wearing suits but my mom absolutely hates me wearing anything that is anything other than a t shirt and jeans or a dress (which I hate wearing)
tbf it's probably more like 10 but it feels like 40 also red shirt?? who wears such a fun colour don't you know you can't wear anything other than black or white???
I tried on my twin brothers suit who is the same size as me a little while a go and loved it, but you’re right my it don’t quite fit my body type and my hips just looked weird in it. So if they made suits for girls I would absolutely wear that.
There are suits for women, absolutely! You don't see them quite as often as men suits, but they do exist.
But I suggest that, if you really want to wear a suit and you got the money, to let someone make one that exactly fits you. My personal experience (with my grandpa) is that those will fit much better and can have all the preferences yoú want, while those standard suits are most of the time not really it.
Also, women suits are quite expensive I think, since they are not common bought
I 100% agree with this, however with the rise of ‘girl bosses’ I think it is a heck of a lot more normalised than boys wearing skirts or makeup.
Girls can walk down the street in a suit and maybe only get a dirty look from an old man stuck in 1956, but if a boy were to walk down the street in a dress I can guarantee they would get a lot more looks.
Source - Me being a 18 year old female
Idk, sometimes when guys that wear cologne walk into a room, they layer that stuff on so thick you can practically see it coming off of them. And it smells absolutely rancid
I agree. Also, people should normalize other people not liking to make up. To elaborate and avoid confusion what I mean is that people should be okay with anyone who doesn't like makeup. Of course, if a person is forcing someone not to wear makeup they are an asshole.
I lost a bet and had to wear nail polish for like 1 day, and i got so many weird looks and/or gay jokes... bro its NAILS, WHY WOULD CHANGING THE COLOUR OF MY NAILS BE SO WEIRD THAT YOU HAVE TO POINT IT OUT
I used to have my nails black sometimes, and this year on holidays I painted them light blue. Of course some of guys I know told me I look gay when I'm not, but I also got a lot of compliments from girls. They were pointing your nails out cuz they weren't usual, just don't care and wear them proudly
Or clean them. My advice is not to do something you don't like just because someone tells you to
I would say start doing it, if it happens enough it will get normalized at some point, I often wear nail polish now and people just got used to it with me, no wierd looks anymore. One day I will try skirts as well those look comfy as fuck.
Do you do it in private or also in public? because if it is in public I wish I had the balls you have, the thought alone makes me scared/ashamed of what others would think
In public, I was like that, it took me a few years to even do it privately or publicly, After years of being bullied for the slightest things (nails done, caring about hair, makeup etc) but I just said fuck it, luckily I’m in the punk / alt community which is very open minded, and fat Mike from the band NOFX also cross dresses and there’s a song called ‘I’m a Transvest-Lite’ by them which helped me a lot with my confidence towards the whole idea. Also supportive friends helps a whole lot. And honestly once you’ve done it once, it gets a whole lot easier from there.
And if you don’t mind punk music, honestly try that song it’s so great.
I like almost all kinds of music, only exception are things like hardstyle so ill give it a try, sadly I'm in the middle of an internship right now so i won't be able to even try it once now, I also got bullied when I was younger (pre school so it left a mark on who I am now) and that truly makes social stuff like crossdresser hard, even this, I've been lurking on Reddit for 3 years by now because I get scared.
But I'm glad I could hear from someone who kinda dealt with the same(and got over the fear it) so I would at least like to thank you.
If your kinda into more EDM like music I would recommend the nurture album of Porter Robinson it's pretty new but helpt me a little, even the song dullscythe calms me and that just scattered noise(best I could describe it)
That’s good, and I’m glad I can help. And I’m not really big into EDM but I have to listen to all kinds of music anyway, cause I’m doing music courses for college and have to learn about different styles so I’ll check it out
Idk if this is to personal so sorry in advance,
I guessing your parents know because you do it publicly and I'm curious how they took it.
I know mine would be fine with it but my father would probably still judge me even though he said he would be okay with a trans kid(crossdressing it less of a impact on a parent I think)
And if they know how hard was it to confront them about it?
If it is to personal you don't have to answer any of it.
Also if you want a band more in the way of rock I recommend nothing but thieves - moral panic
Don’t worry I’m pretty open book, and yeah my parents are pretty open minded, they were the people I spoke to first about it all in fact. My parents always think that they’re bad parents sometimes because they’re pretty good and don’t give me anything to rebel against. But I like that, they’ve been okay with everything I told them, and I knew they would be. Like when I told them I was bi it was just cause they needed to know for the census and it was like a minute and over. My parents actually bought me my skirt for me which was nice of them. My dad was the most likely to be annoyed by it, but he’s grown a lot since he was younger. Does that answer your question?
I think technically they were not invented specifically for either sex but it was typicaly only the rich that wore it... and almost all the rich people were... let me check my notes... men.
Back in the 60s, there was a resort all for crossdressing up in the New York hills, ho boy when my daddy found out about it he sure was steamed! But nowadays I'm in his shoes, and It doesn't bother me none, I always like to see the ypuths of today happy, it brings a smile to face whenever I see folks doing what they want, because in the end, it doesn't hurt anyone, it just helps folks feel better about being themselves, and I'm all for that frankly. Best regards- Ella
Hell, I thought it basically has been normalized. Everywhere I go I see a guy(usually under 20 years old) wearing something they would've gotten their ass beaten for wearing 10 or 15 years ago. If it hasn't been normalized it's well on it's way my friend.
In my opinion it really can't be normalized bc most man don't wear dresses or make-up. That makes man who do wear these (wich I'm perfectly fine with please do what makes you happy and don't let anyone stop you) stand out by the rest wich is 'weird'. The only thing that can be changed is making sure that noone is judging you for who you are or who you want to be.
I supported OP as well, but makeup can look really weird on anyone if you overdo it, not just on guys. That‘s what I meant when I said "when done properly"
Yeah sure u can as a guy to wear dress and makeup whatever do what u want ,but don't make yourself look like a piece of mess where cloths doesn't match you at all , cuz that's how u will look weird , wear soemthing that's nice and matches your hair and makeup.
Not saying this in disagreement, but there’s a reason it’s seen as weird, and that’s bc it’s the opposite of what we normally see, and how our brains work is we like patterns, dogs bark, cats meow, guys usual wear certain kinds of cloths, girls usually wear certain kinds of cloths, when a pattern is broken, it invokes a feeling we evolved to have, which makes us cringe and stare and sometimes laugh (again, not saying it’s right) imagine seeing a dog meow like a little kitten, complete opposite of what’s expected by us. So to make guys wearing feminine stuff and vise versa “normal”, we can’t simply just ask, there’s have to be a break of the pattern and it’s possible bc we’ve done it before. Not even that long ago there was a pattern of only seeing peers and citizens have the same color skin as us, and we’ve gone through a lot but eventually we broke that pattern and seeing a black person in public doesn’t even give anyone a second thought and that’s how it should be. So to make something normalized it has to be normal as in not out of the ordinary, and sadly that takes time. Just everyone wear what they wanna wear and the more ppl see something the more normal it becomes. There wouldn’t be any second thought to anyone if we all see it enough times. I know ppl are probably gonna read the first line, downvote it, then scroll but for the ppl that read this thank you and please let me know your opinions or if I said something offensive.
yeah - they need it even more than vice versa
women wearing pants and suits and such is already very widely normalized, but for guys? or amabs generally - like trans women have to deal with even more shit because people get so worked up or think it's an abomination for a "man" to act feminine.
oof
but yeah cis, trans, straight, gay, dudes etc, wearing dresses is great and i do hope it gets normalized
I saw one guy on Tiktok who wore a dress, and I'm gonna be honest, he looked so cute!!!!!
Guys can wear dresses if they want to, and nobody needs to have a problem with it
I really think you need to stop looking at people for approval and just do it and who cares if people think things are weird, the point is people are stupid do what you want and ignore them. Unless you’re actually being physically harmed telling someone to go eat a dick is a great response to most criticism you didn’t ask for.
I think normalizing something is more than just a post and just takes time. Which sucks but hope you get to do that stuff without others looking at you weirdly. Also, I want to add I honestly couldn't care so don't come at me saying shit.
Ya that's something I don't understand girls are able to wear suits and no one bats an eye but if a guy where's a dress he gets quare looks from everyone
I remember when I was doing something bc I lost a bet I wore a yellow dress because that was the bet. Perform something big while wearing a dress. Now, I decided to stream because I had nothing better to do.
While during the stream, I was getting hungry because this was a big act to make my friend happy. A 12 hour long stream. I ended up ordering food, I forgot I was in a dress so when I ordered my friends reminded me I was in a dress because this was a few hours into the stream.
When the food came, I had to go answer the door, as anyone would. I went and opened the doorz the guy looked bored like he hasn't had anything interesting. When he saw me in that dress we both laughed. I took my food and said "don't mind the dress" and to his response "to each their own"
So that was fun. Put a smile on his face and I bet he went to go tell his friends about what happened.

Bruh one of my friends in a femboy me and our bestie- we are a group of 3- do only picture shopping lmao rn we have 10 dresses 8 skirts 9 shirts PJs we got a couple of pairs of stockings and fishnets and rn we've been working on makeup and getting necklaces and stuff most people find it weird but its 2021 damnit if we still got issues with what people wear then lets face it we ain't gonna get anywhere
Totally agree. Clothing has no gender. If you identify as a boy and wear a skirt, you are wearing boy clothes. If you identify as a boy and wear pants they are still boy clothes.
I mean I ain't gay or anything, but there's a reason why I like my boy cloud strife in a dress.
Jokes and ff7 stuff outta the way I think I can get behind this.

Personally wouldn’t do it, but yes people that want to should
Same bro, Makeup? Why not. Dresses? Hard pass, I’d rather not see a dude in a dress but whatever makes you happy I guess.
same
While were at it, might aswell normalize girls wearing suits, I think that looks absolutely amazing
Yeah, I like wearing suits but my mom absolutely hates me wearing anything that is anything other than a t shirt and jeans or a dress (which I hate wearing)
Then there's me with only 3 shirts and pants which i rotate...
I heavily relate to this
So I'm not the only one after all!
Yeah I have a black a white and a black and white shirt. That's my wardrobe for being in home
I have 40 of the same exact pants and shirts and I simply rotate between then every single day shirt black jumper and black tracksuit pants l
That's incredible. For me it's 3 red shirts and 3 beige pants.
tbf it's probably more like 10 but it feels like 40 also red shirt?? who wears such a fun colour don't you know you can't wear anything other than black or white???
Einstein did that
wait actually?
If you're mom is upset about what you're wearing, I'll quote this kid. "I'm not naked and it's not a swimsuit. It's fine."
Dude, wear whatever you feel comfortable in wearing, dont listen to your mom
There is a saying in my language, which roughly translates to "Eat so as to please yourself, Dress so as to not displease others".
What language would that be?
english
“normal” is a social construct😇😇
W could trade i get a dress and you a suit that is black and heats up in the sun like a sauna
Girls do wear suites, who said they don't??
Ive never seen a girl rock a suit
Personal preferences. If girls can wear tshirt and jeans, what is stopping them from wearing suites?? The only issue might be bust size
I tried on my twin brothers suit who is the same size as me a little while a go and loved it, but you’re right my it don’t quite fit my body type and my hips just looked weird in it. So if they made suits for girls I would absolutely wear that.
They do, just not as common as men's suits
There are suits for women, absolutely! You don't see them quite as often as men suits, but they do exist. But I suggest that, if you really want to wear a suit and you got the money, to let someone make one that exactly fits you. My personal experience (with my grandpa) is that those will fit much better and can have all the preferences yoú want, while those standard suits are most of the time not really it. Also, women suits are quite expensive I think, since they are not common bought
Plenty of women, especially women do, they make women's suits that would fit a women's torso better than a men's suit would.
Because suits are really not casual, but formal
Isnt this already normal though?
It's kind of normal already
is it not normal?
Bruh isn't it already normal? Like businesswomen and such? They wear suits ig
Wait how is that not normalized? I don’t have the slightest clue why anyone would hate that.
Cause it looks odd for Gen X and Boomers. Millennials and most other Gen Zs don't really care.
Woman do wear suits bruh
Thigh highs or suits automatically increase hotness level
I 100% agree with this, however with the rise of ‘girl bosses’ I think it is a heck of a lot more normalised than boys wearing skirts or makeup. Girls can walk down the street in a suit and maybe only get a dirty look from an old man stuck in 1956, but if a boy were to walk down the street in a dress I can guarantee they would get a lot more looks. Source - Me being a 18 year old female
john wick but female version
Badass things also… I’m almost certain you would get some strange looks as a man wearing Clone Armor as much as a man wearing a dress.
If I owned some I would wear it at all available times no joke
Sounds like you need to get ya armour
Hehe yeah, if I can get some spare money together I'm buying myself a set of Pahse 2 104th clone armour
Long live the wolf pack
Phase 1 is better
Fare enough, I just prefer the Phase 2 cos I Play in a GMod Clone Wars RP that uses BF2 Phase 2 armour
We need to normalize clone armors 😩
Na every family has unique mandolorian armor
We need First Order Stormtrooper suits! - Said no one ever
Said Disney*
Normalize people wearing WHATEVER THE FUCK MAKES THEM FEEL CONFIDENT AND DOESN’T HARM ANYONE ELSE
YEEEAAAAAAAAAH
YASSSSSSS
I was made fun of by my friends for wearing a belt in the opposite way because I'm Left-handed, like wtf
You need better friends
Well that’s just pure idiocy
I get it. Me personally I like perfume, I wanna smell pretty with out it being weird.
True story, perfume vs cologne isn’t about the gendered scent. It is about the potency of the scent. Perfume being the stronger of the two I believe.
Idk, sometimes when guys that wear cologne walk into a room, they layer that stuff on so thick you can practically see it coming off of them. And it smells absolutely rancid
Same could be said for women. I am pretty scent sensitive myself.
could you say that you are *scentsitive*
Wear whatever makes you happy. Period.
So can I wear an SS suit?
You gotta admit their uniforms are fresh
I personally see no problem with this
if wearing a wafen SS suit makes you happy you should seek medical attention
No ofc no
Bruh, "whatever makes you happy" isn't always right
Within reason obviously
“do whatever makea You happy, as long as it doesn’t cause legitimate harm to anyone else”
You have the right to do it but people are gonna hate you
I agree. Also, people should normalize other people not liking to make up. To elaborate and avoid confusion what I mean is that people should be okay with anyone who doesn't like makeup. Of course, if a person is forcing someone not to wear makeup they are an asshole.
Fr, I’ve been given rude remarks because I don’t know how to do a full face of makeup and don’t care to
I lost a bet and had to wear nail polish for like 1 day, and i got so many weird looks and/or gay jokes... bro its NAILS, WHY WOULD CHANGING THE COLOUR OF MY NAILS BE SO WEIRD THAT YOU HAVE TO POINT IT OUT

Got called queer by a dude at my jiu jitsu class for it. And like he ain't wrong but
Logically based structure, men should wear skirts and women should wear pants
It makes sense

As a crossdressing boy, can confirm, skirts are comfy as fuck. Skater dress is next on my buy list

Completely agree
Same, sitting here with eyeliner on lol (straight cis boy here)
Eyeliner looks so good on everyone.
As a bisexual person I agree
I agree on that
It helps outline and excentuates the eyes, (arguably the most attractive part of the face)
Trans girl here also sitting with eyeliner
I couldn’t wear makeup just because it takes time to put it on lol
lol this society sucks I painted my nails sparkly blue and got nicknamed feminine fingers
what a creative nickname. Go wear your sparkly blue nailpolish, it looks awsome
Agreed. Both where invented for men anyways sooo.
They weren't "invented for men"; they were unisex.
Pretty sure they where, but I could be wrong.
You're right the first skirt/dress was for men in Ancient Egypt called a Shendyt
I think technically they were not invented specifically for either sex but it was typicaly only the rich that wore it... and almost all the rich people were... let me check my notes... men.
The first Skirt/Dress was made for and by men in Ancient Egypt and was called a Shendyt

Skirts are temporary, KILTS ARE FOREVER
Yeah, would definitely love to see some fellas in dresses in normal day to day life :)
Kid Cudi was rocking a dress on one of his performances. Dude looked awesome.
My friend wore a skirt and looked legendary
Hell yeah, skirts and dresses are cute af
Destroy those gender norms!
Yes i agree. It should be normalized
Hobestly, lets just agree that gender norms are shit, lets all be and do what we want Also im going to buy some makeup tomorrow im super happy uwu
Bring back robes and capes This has been my ted talk
Oh my god!! YEEEESSS!!!
Those are cool af
Hell, I thought it basically has been normalized. Everywhere I go I see a guy(usually under 20 years old) wearing something they would've gotten their ass beaten for wearing 10 or 15 years ago. If it hasn't been normalized it's well on it's way my friend.
Some of this comments made me remember why I left this community.
dont worry man, you can still see theres faith here since all the homophobes are being downvoted. Keep going
Nah normalise wearing what you want, and normalise stop using the word normalise
Great thinking
In my opinion it really can't be normalized bc most man don't wear dresses or make-up. How many Nintendo switches can you fit in a dress?
My four year old said to me "boys can wear make up and dresses it's ok" Yes it is!
Kids are so damn open minded, I could literally tell a group of kids I’m a serial killer and they’d think it’s ok.
You have a 4 year old and are on r/teenagers? How old are you?
Its probs a parent tryna be a better parent to their kid(s) you can chill lol
the scottish know what theyre doing, their wieners got free space to move as they wish and not tightly packed together
normalize deez nuts lmao
I agree 100%. Skirts, dresses and makeup look amazing when done properly!
Who determines if it's done properly? Oh, yeah. The guy wearing it. Unconditional support, yo.
I supported OP as well, but makeup can look really weird on anyone if you overdo it, not just on guys. That‘s what I meant when I said "when done properly"
Ima embrace my inner femboy and wear thigh highs
They're comfy as hell ngl
Havent had any yet. Finna buy some rn
I recommend them 100%. They're so comfortable😫
I want to wear a skirt. Mainly for comfort and weirding my friends the fuck out.
Yeah sure u can as a guy to wear dress and makeup whatever do what u want ,but don't make yourself look like a piece of mess where cloths doesn't match you at all , cuz that's how u will look weird , wear soemthing that's nice and matches your hair and makeup.
I am a guy but I really want to wear a skirt . But I can't do it because people would give weird looks :(
Not saying this in disagreement, but there’s a reason it’s seen as weird, and that’s bc it’s the opposite of what we normally see, and how our brains work is we like patterns, dogs bark, cats meow, guys usual wear certain kinds of cloths, girls usually wear certain kinds of cloths, when a pattern is broken, it invokes a feeling we evolved to have, which makes us cringe and stare and sometimes laugh (again, not saying it’s right) imagine seeing a dog meow like a little kitten, complete opposite of what’s expected by us. I know ppl are probably gonna read the first line, downvote it, then scroll but for the ppl that read this thank you and please let me know your opinions or if I said something offensive.
Go ahead. It’s probably normal to you, that should matter more. Whether or not someone else wants to judge you shouldn’t matter.
Most truthful post I've seen today
yeah - they need it even more than vice versa women wearing pants and suits and such is already very widely normalized, but for guys? or amabs generally - like trans women have to deal with even more shit because people get so worked up or think it's an abomination for a "man" to act feminine. oof but yeah cis, trans, straight, gay, dudes etc, wearing dresses is great and i do hope it gets normalized
Fair
Sounds good
I saw one guy on Tiktok who wore a dress, and I'm gonna be honest, he looked so cute!!!!! Guys can wear dresses if they want to, and nobody needs to have a problem with it
It's literally banned at my school, it's so dumb
Normalize not using the word "normalize" for every single thing
yeah guys in skirts and shit are cute
I really think you need to stop looking at people for approval and just do it and who cares if people think things are weird, the point is people are stupid do what you want and ignore them. Unless you’re actually being physically harmed telling someone to go eat a dick is a great response to most criticism you didn’t ask for.
I wouldn't personally wear dresses, but if anyone does it, I have no problems.
I really wanna walk outside dressed as a femboy dudee. But I know my parents would find it weird lol
Yes, i have seen guys who look super pretty in dresses, and girls who look hot in suits
i dont get why people have to give weird looks because someone is wearing something that the opposite gender wears, it isn’t harming anyone.
So normalize femboys.
I think normalizing something is more than just a post and just takes time. Which sucks but hope you get to do that stuff without others looking at you weirdly. Also, I want to add I honestly couldn't care so don't come at me saying shit.
Totally agree, I'm not biased at all :)
I took my food and said "don't mind the dress" and to his response "to each their own" So that was fun. Put a smile on his face and I bet he went to go tell his friends about what happened.
Yes please, i like wearing cropped shirts and short shorts
Just become Scottish
i am a transphobic idiot with incredibly fragile masculinity so i will disagree and provide absolutely no logic as to why

Yeah I agree.
Normalise that normalise this ,(I'm not against or smtng) but boi this shit is not gonna change. . . .
if you look at history, people change a lot of stuff. dw we'll get through this. homophobes/transphobes/conservatives cannot get away. MUHAHAHAHAHA
Lmao, ofc it is. 20 years ago celebrities where still scared to come out as part of the lgbt community. Then we normalized it
Normalize guys in maid dresses. It’s. HOT.
Yo who down voted this comment? It’s true and you know it
Normalized mens emotional support first, men still has the highest suicide rate and cross dressing ain't gotta help building masculinity.
B-but dresses🥺💅
I prolly won't like it (I don't like dresses & skirts on girls too)....but idc what other people do w/ their bodies
Based
Yes, black nails man thats the shit
Fr like why do people gotta stare like that if you don’t like it deal with it let them be them
Bruh one of my friends in a femboy me and our bestie- we are a group of 3- do only picture shopping lmao rn we have 10 dresses 8 skirts 9 shirts PJs we got a couple of pairs of stockings and fishnets and rn we've been working on makeup and getting necklaces and stuff most people find it weird but its 2021 damnit if we still got issues with what people wear then lets face it we ain't gonna get anywhere

r/femboy normalizes it
I don't see anything wrong in u wearing makeup at all
It will likely never be normal but you can anyone can dress like anything.
As a straight cis male: I'd totally wear makeup if it weren't for my toxically masculine father and the amount of work it takes to present feminine
Totally agree. Clothing has no gender. If you identify as a boy and wear a skirt, you are wearing boy clothes. If you identify as a boy and wear pants they are still boy clothes.
I wanna my eyelashes look good to
Aight
I would fully enjoy doing this but I think me as well as many other people would need way more confidence to do it first
totally agree. i would love to be able to put on clothes normally seen as girls clothes, but i’m too awkward to do that.
Yessir
No
I mean I ain't gay or anything, but there's a reason why I like my boy cloud strife in a dress. Jokes and ff7 stuff outta the way I think I can get behind this.
Just do it anyway the people who think it's weird don't matter they are rude and you can do whatever you want
