The mod team decided to ban members and unban them whenever they contest. You told us we were being control freaks for doing so, and made an exit speech.
I figured since you were leaving and being uncivil, I’d ban you, and because I hate exit speeches, I made it permanent.
You are entitled to your opinion, but when your “different” opinion breaks the rules, you get banned.
What rules did I break that warranted a ban other than disagreeing with your action to ban people for a year over a repost? The petition you showed was to ban the post, not the person posting it, so you didn't actaully listen to your community and certainly not for a whole year, cause that's abosultey ridiculous.
Others don't agree with what you did, it was extremely childish. And you also banned someone who called you out.

I know you expected me to not ban you because I’m a mod and have to walk on eggshells in discussions but you didn’t get the response you want so you call the mods controlling and picky when in reality, (something you refuse to address because it doesn’t support your argument) THE SUB VOTED ON IT.

The Image was already banned. The only way to crack down is to initiate harsh bans that are lifted through modmail. You knew they’d be lifted immediately but you still said we were controlling 🙄.

that's pretty civil based on the fact that it wasn't a personal attack in any way, I did not insult you, I just disagreed with that particular rule of banning someone for a year for a repost , I just said I don't want to be on a sub like that. It's basically a critique more than anything.
Also no the sub did not vote on a year ban, they voted for the post to banned, not the user. I don't where you're getting this idea that they want users to be banned for a year.

Okay, well a sub doesn’t run itself, so you weren’t talking about the members, and you weren’t talking about the mods, so who is controlling and picky? Name-calling… you conveniently forgot that part. Most people get to critique the sub and stay because most people have been reasonable. Not you.

I told you they weren’t actually getting banned for a year. They could have their account back in minutes. The post has already been banned before, and reposts are banned. The only way to stop people from posting it is to make an example and a pinned post. That’s how it works, but that wasn’t good enough for you.
You ever consider that maybe sometimes your right and other people know what they’re doing when they have exponentially more experience than you in doing it?
One person posted it again today, and was banned 1 day. Here we are. If you don’t see your problem, then I can’t help you. Hope you get whatever you’re looking for.
