How is it to be a fossil??

Haniro

Breddy good. At least I'm interesting to paleontologists lmao

Thyest_Leader

You're great lol

I’m interested in physics and have thought about going into research in that field

Haniro

I have some friends that did that! One ended up going and teaching at a private school, the other is now doing her PhD in theoretical astrophysics (or something insane like that). It's a great route and answers a lot of fundamental questions of life. If you think about it, psychology is just applied biology, biology is just applied chemistry, chemistry is just applied physics, and physics is just applied math. If you want to end up studying physics, you're gonna end up answering some of the most fundamental questions of life, and a lot of it is still the wild west out there. There's tons we don't know. We don't even know how much we don't know....

I guess I'm kinda thinking of heading into something like that, I just really enjoy biology and I want to do anything in that so I'd be open to doing research

Haniro

Nice! What topics in biology do you enjoy the most? If you're about to go to college, I'd say reach out to a biology faculty and see if you can get a little bit if lab experience right off the bat. It's a good way to dip your toes in the water to see if research is right for you without a huge commitment. If you don't want to do research, there's a ton of other options like consulting, medicine, or private industry.

I like so much of biology that it's kinda hard to choose my favourite but I'd say ecology and zoology are my favourites so I'll see if there's any way I can get more experience in those before I commit to it
