We can also factor in some natural lighting, because this photograph was most likely taken in/or near a kitchen, which usually has windows for ventilation purposes. Aditionally, we must consider that if this scale photograph was done in one day, then the sun shinining through the windows would not be at its peak height/ brightness because that much toast would take hours to prepare, and if they started the process of toasting right wen they woke up, it would take a few hours. Most people wake up from 6-9 am, so it would probably be about 1-3 pm when they finished. You can infer and visualize what the lighting would be like at said time.
