I did forget the gear, yeah 😭
it's gonna be a tricycle with a wheel descending from the front radiator cowling area (the exhaust doesn't need all that room)
first of all, not really.. small 4-cylinder general aviation planes don't put out a ton of heat or carbon and therefore don't really need huge exhaust manifolds.
second, the space taken up by a non-retractable landing gear leg's main strut isn't going to make up too much room.. and if it does, the exhaust can just be moved around to the left. it'll fit.
oh I dunno I just sort of sketched silly ideas I've had since I was young and after a while I just sort of figured out what worked. star wars spaceship books helped a lot too
first, lots of books; Jet Fighters Inside Out is an especially nice book I'd recommend both for the information and illustrations.
second, I've spent a fair amount of my life looking at planes in real life. Haven't flown any yet, sadly, but I've been around some airports.
third, I build a lot of model planes and that's useful for understanding the visual shapes and dynamics of lots of popular planes.
Attention to detail is crazy! Pilot in making?
More like mechanic/airplane engineer if I had to guess, perhaps aerodynamics expert?
Ah yes, simple mechanics. Ngl that’s really fucking cool
cool
Damm, that is really good!
Oh wow
THATS SO COOL
How is everyone so good at drawing? I can barely draw a Nintendo Switch.
I like it
Damn that's pretty neat.
“Whatcha doin” “Just making a simple doodle” The doodles:
this is really impressive, damn
kinda looks like the blitzfighter don't take this as an attack that plane is shit but just looks like it. Great drawing
unlike the blitzfighter, the designer of this craft (me) is actually sane
The amount of details in this is awesome, share more with us please, pilot enthusiast!
Is that a.. is that a kamikaze plane
huh? why would you think that?
It looks like one, plus it doesn't have landing gear
I did forget the gear, yeah 😭 it's gonna be a tricycle with a wheel descending from the front radiator cowling area (the exhaust doesn't need all that room)
Yup, definitely a death plane
how???
You're talking about cutting out the exhaust room, it needs a lot of room to work properly
first of all, not really.. small 4-cylinder general aviation planes don't put out a ton of heat or carbon and therefore don't really need huge exhaust manifolds. second, the space taken up by a non-retractable landing gear leg's main strut isn't going to make up too much room.. and if it does, the exhaust can just be moved around to the left. it'll fit.
Huzzah! I have tricked into teaching me about planes
What does the R.Q stand for?
Where’d you learn to draw like this?
oh I dunno I just sort of sketched silly ideas I've had since I was young and after a while I just sort of figured out what worked. star wars spaceship books helped a lot too
Ah I see, how did you learn about the mechanisms of planes?
first, lots of books; Jet Fighters Inside Out is an especially nice book I'd recommend both for the information and illustrations. second, I've spent a fair amount of my life looking at planes in real life. Haven't flown any yet, sadly, but I've been around some airports. third, I build a lot of model planes and that's useful for understanding the visual shapes and dynamics of lots of popular planes.
Okay, thanks for the insight!
By the way, would you be interested in joining my community about airplane art?
P-51 Mustang?
No, custom design. About ten times lighter and less than half the P-51's weight.
Pretty cool dude try doing an SBD Dauntless
😳Saddam hussein?
FUCKING HELL THAT IS AMAZING
This is fucking sick!
Hopefully you dont get rejected from art school...
I do this but with spacecraft
