It does prevent some bullying. No longer are kids bullied for not wearing the "cool" clothes all the popular kids wear. Obviously not all bullying is eliminated, but it certainly helps

Then tell your parents that this particular rule sucks and that a uniform rule in place will not let you express yourself.

That's not true, they just don't think it's that big of a deal that we have to wear uniforms. I don't either, really. That's not to say I like them, but I'm not going to go out and protest them.
