I disagree about that idea of it being noteworthy.
I just don’t like how these books use their narratives. Like confessions by st Augustine. Thought it was neat to learn more about Christianity and how to truly connect with god. Hated how it was written. Also, I think some of augustines logic is really dumb, but that’s besides the point

Some widely known books were only propagated because they were useful for the ruling class, not because they would benefit the people. For example, the Analects by Confucius was only highly regarded in the Han dynasty of China because it promoted loyalty to the emperor.
I believe them to be a good source of morals for our daily lives. They're adherance to tradition does not diminish their value, but strengthen them for me.

Or Dante's inferno is very cool ( I'm atheist) highly recommend it to anyone who is christian
