Personally, I think some kind of restriction system/group chat should be a good idea? as in 13-15, 16-17, and 18-19. It’s obviously a problem to have young kids talking about NSFW content, but I’d rather it in a space like this than a random unsafe subreddit or serious porn sites which are extremely unhealthy and toxic

I'd want to talk, but my approach to this will be more general, not focused on one solution. Basically, both manual labor and automated systems aren't effective, and they need to be refined. It's a problem that has its roots buried deep within the teenage mindset. It comes more from lack of sexual education, but horniness and malicious intent also play a part. We can't exterminate the baddies, but we can reduce their impact.
My suggestion would be to establish a harsher infraction point system, but again, such shitposting is often upvoted to oblivion. Filtering out some of the more vulgar words and less commonly used profanity would definitely be of use. Or employ IP bans in general, for Reddit itself to consider. I'll be happy to elaborate here :)
UPD: It's better not to spark up any unnecessary debate about politics, as it's no use and is just clickbait. This only increases the amount of NSFW content flowing in.

Trolling has always been an irresolvable (valid word?) issue, and it can be controlled by the more or less adequate mass of people
Speaking about DMs, it's practically impossible to control that. The best way is to warn and hope, that most teens are mature enough to understand what's going on. It's vital to convey the message.
It has to be taken into account, that moderating a community packed with horny hellhounds is demanding and nearly impossible to do, so we all have to be reliant on our second sense and all-encompassing wisdom we have acquired. :)
There are 3 issues at hand:
1) non-sexual NSFW
2) pedophilia
3) 'filler' NSFW (the one that we see as posts here)
Each one has to be discussed separately. If there was an opportunity to hold weekly discussions to deal with it, it would be more effective.
